Just a few random photos of little sweet Avery...


Sydney wanted me to see if this Cabbage Patch outfit would fit Avery...it did and she was obviously thrilled about it!

A couple of weeks ago I made a very poor attempt at a baby photo shoot. Little Miss Avery was not very cooperative, but here are a couple that were ok. So sweet!







This one is not the best exposure, but the girls and I thought she looked cute all snuggled in her car seat.

Fashion Show!

We've unanimously decided that Avery is currently the best dressed member of our family. Grandma Sherry and Christie have supplied us with preemie outfits and aunt Kamie sent a package of homemade (amazing) doll clothes! Since Kamie lives too far away to see these outfits in person, we're having a blog fashion show to display Avery's doll clothes wardrobe. She was a little crabby for the photo shoot so we couldn't ditch the big blue binki (sorry). Thanks again Kamie...we think you're amazing!

Also after viewing these photos you may be curious, but yes, Avery has a red birthmark on her left leg. The doctors said it may get bigger, smaller or stay the same as she grows. They also said that it may get darker, lighter or stay the same color as well. So as you can tell...they have no idea what will happen with it, but for now we'll call it a mark of love :).

The pink polka dot dress...complete with hat, bloomers, shoes and socks.

I'm pretty sure Avery is going to wear this reversible hat to Kamie day...we'll just have to decide whether she'll be sporting the white side or the pink side. You'll have to wait and see...

Comparing size with Kallie's American Girl Doll.

The red cherry outfit fit the best and was definitely one of our favorites!

The doll shoes were so cute and tiny and led to the girls making Avery try on every pair of American Girl Shoes that we own :).

The balloon outfit was also adorable and has a little spare room for Avery to grow.

We'd also like to say a big "thank you" to Lyn from my dad's office for knitting this cute tiny sweater for Avery. It is so sweet and little and we can only imagine the amount of time that went into this.

Thank you to all of you out there who have helped to make Avery the most fashionable member of the Norris family! If only the rest of us could look this good :)

Happy Birthday Kallie!

Am I a little slow...yes! Amongst all of the baby craziness both Kallie and Dan celebrated birthdays. So before I post pictures of Avery coming home (which Dan put on Facebook last week) I want to make sure that Kallie's 11th b-day (back on May 3rd) gets the recognition it deserves. As for Dan's b-day...sorry I didn't even take one photo. We did pull out the video camera, just not the normal camera. Poor Dan...happy 37th just the same!!!

Kallie (headgear and all) about to enjoy her traditional breakfast in bed! Can you see the flower waffle made from bananas and whipped cream with a #11 made from choc chips in the middle. Nothing like dessert for breakfast!

The sleepy guest of honor...


Kallie picked Memphis bbq for her bday dinner and invited two friends from school to come along.

Elizabeth and Megan. I'm not sure if I've ever heard quite so much giggling ever at the dinner table...we all had a great time!





Kallie REALLY wanted the waiters to come sing to her. Megan made sure they did- and Kallie was thrilled! Syd, on the other hand, came to the other side of the table and hid so no one would stare at her :)

It's official- Kallie is taller than Grandma Sherry!

On our way out to the car, all I heard was "take our picture here", "can you take our picture doing this"...hilarious!





Syd really wanted to get Kallie a really fluffy bathrobe for her b-day since Kallie has outgrown the one my mom and dad gave her years ago. But, we looked everywhere without success. I guess fluffy bathrobes aren't in season in Vegas right now. Maybe for Christmas. So we got Kallie the next best thing...a fish. She was totally thrilled and surprised as you can see!

Kallie enjoying her birthday ice-cream sundae in a "fancy glass" from the Dollar Store. Love you Kallie! I'm so happy with the young lady she is turning into. She is very sweet, helpful, kind, pleasant and is a very hard worker. I'm looking forward to another great year with this little lady!

A few extras that I didn't want to leave out...Kallie and Syd peaking at Avery through the NICU window. They couldn't go in because apparently RSV season hasn't officially ended yet. The last night Avery was in the hospital the night nurse did sneak us all in (but don't tell anyone). I think these pictures are so cute- they were both dying to hold her!



And Peaches...who is tolerating the new baby better than I had expected. She just might get used to her afterall. Can you see her long eyelashes?

Stayed tuned for photos of the baby coming home as well as a "fashion show" of doll clothes that Aunt Kamie made. Hopefully they'll come sooner than later...but with me you never know for sure :)
