gazing beyond
now that the examinations are just around the corner, i can't help but realise that while i study i spent some time reflecting on the past and also wonder about the future. random stray thoughts just slip in and out of your mind while you read through your notes. sometimes you'd just realise that what you've just read may seem all too familiar - like you read it one second back and you are reading it again. maybe it's being all too familiar with what is in the notes that causes one to build castles in the air, or just the plain monotony of studying and re-studying the things you learnt more than a month ago. or how about there just isn't the distraction of the computer and the internet. just time on your own.
sometimes i wish i could turn back time, yet i am grateful that it is just impossible.
sometimes i wish i could see the future, yet i do not wish to believe in destiny or fate.
things have changed since we met.
things have changed since we parted.
things have changed since we met.
things have not changed actually, though things do change.
i liked the way it was last year too. i don't know if the path taken from there was correct but as mentioned you can't turn back. i guess it's just how the intangible develops. indeed, intangibles have developed and been broken. no one wishes for the latter to happen. unfortunately, that is quite uncontrollable. it's a pity that the world we live in now is so superficial and impersonal.
this planet has definitely seen many changes over the last eighteen years, both good and bad.
