easter overload

If you haven't noticed, we LOVE taking pictures. 

Our favorite subject? 

Violet. 

I feel like she has really grown up so much in the last few weeks. It's amazing how they just one day wake up and understand everything you are saying to them. I don't feel like I'm just talking to myself anymore! She really cracks us up, and has the silliest personality...

Her favorite things to say are:

 go bye bye? 

go outside? (which she says NON STOP) 

Bath? (everything seems to be a question)

&

Bye (which she says to anything she might be leaving behind)- 

it actually comes in handy when i want to leave a store or put away a toy... i just tell her to say bye, and she immediately turns and walks away

 I couldn't BELIEVE she kept her hat on ALL day. She even wore it all through church.

 We had a fabulous Easter with tanner's family. 

The weather was absolutely perfect. 

Maybe next year we will actually dye some eggs.

being a mom

I love being a mom. I really do. I am completely and utterly obsessed over my one little girl. We have the best times together. Is it pathetic that I want so badly for my 16 month old to experience everything awesome in this world? It makes me so happy to take her to the zoo... because she of course will remember that day for the rest of her life. It makes me feel so bad when we spend the entire day inside... because she will remember how boring that day was for the rest of her life. 

I was looking through pictures to catch up on my blog, and I came across these ones in March. I couldn't help but take a picture over how messy my house was. It is amazing how one child can completely take over your house.

really? 16 months ago, we didn't own a single toy. 

After the house got cleaned... we spent the rest of the month doing this:

spending St. Patrick's Day at the fishing festival in our neighborhood,

 having some fabulous visitors! These two lovely ladies decided to come play for a few days.... and let me tell you... it was quite the weekend!

We finally made it to 19 lbs!! woohoo. This petite gal is finally packing on the pounds.

We love going to the zoo. Especially with Bethanie and her little girl Addy. 

Violet loves her friend Olivia too. Here they are together at the ward easter egg hunt. 

she thoroughly enjoyed feeding all the other kids candy. 

Easter post will come with a plethora of pictures, so I think I may have to tackle that one tomorrow.

i heart valentines day

ya, so I'm a little late in posting this. I had forgotten to press PUBLISH POST

February was seriously so fun. 

Since I was completely overwhelmed during December with Violet's bday, Christmas, and traveling every weekend... i wasn't able to do the 12 days of Christmas. 

So this Valentine's Day I decided to do the 

14 days of Valentines. 

Some days I kind of just made up stuff for Violet... like... "let's go to the park!" which we already do almost everyday anyway. 

But it was fun nonetheless. 

I either bought her something (like a 99 cent balloon.. or a giant bear)
or we spent the day doing something really fun.
