Springtime on the Farm

Every year, we get excited about Springtime. The barnyard is full of baby animals, the garden is growing, the apple blossoms are covering the trees,the grass is greener, the sky is bluer and we're excited about our new pony, Friday,born on Good Friday!

Patch Patrol

The Pumpkin Patch is open and we have had over 200 visitors already. It is so fun to watch the kids romp through the field picking up vines and searching for their pumpkin. Some look for the biggest , some the smallest and yet others pick one that is still green. The pumpkins are loaded into red wagons for the trip to the parking area. The weather has cooled off and the autumn colors are very pretty. We are really enjoying having the farm open in the fall and welcoming old friends and meeting new ones. We love the Patch Patrol....

The "Ford" Tractor Theater

Here is our latest addition to the Farm. We unloaded the bales of straw and then decided to make a circle around the Tractor.Stev said, We should call it the Ford Theater- Yes, it works! It is a 1947 and Steve really enjoys climbing into the seat and playing in the dirt.:) The Theater will be the place were our groups gather and for Apple season we'll share a story about this wonderful fruit and have a question and answer time. Pumpkin pickers will meet here first then hear about the cycle of the pumpkin plant. We hope that the Ford Theater will be a fun place for kids to sit,climb and learn.

Times and Seasons change but not the FUN on the Farm

September is Apple Picking Season and we are currently scheduling Farm visits. Just $4.00 with a minimum of 20 people including all children ages 2yrs and older. You will hear a special story about Apples and plenty of time in the Barnyard to pet and feed the animals. Then you will take your apple picking bag into the orchard where you will pick from a variety of trees: Anna, Breaburn and Red Fuji. The last week of Farm Camp 2009

We had a great group of kids and beautiful weather. Even though the class size was small we made big memories. The baby chicks were the highlight once again. The talent show was so cute and all the audience agreed it was so much fun. As the summer comes to an end, We would like to say Thank You to all the parents and grandparents that shared your children with us. To our campers, we hope you had fun while learning about Life on the Farm! Have a great school year and we'll see you next Summer!
