Snow Snow Snow...

Only in Hurricane...

We were so excited when it snowed... a little

We told Kayli it snowed outside and were so excited. We got our hats, boots, and coats on and went out to play in the "snow". When we got out there Kayli said, "Where's the snow?" She was used to our old home in snow capital USA- Rexburg.

Then it kept snowing and snowing and snowing. It was soo fun. Then Kayli really could see snow. The schools were even cancelled for a day. Everyone up north made fun of good ol' southern Utah. :)

We have a slanted driveway. I couldn't get our car up the driveway. It was too slippery. Dad and Kayli were sliding down it and scaring mom to death.

We don't have a snow shovel, we left them all in Rexburg. So Justin was using a broom. It wasn't really working. I grabbed a big piece of tile we had in our garage to help and I fell and slid down the driveway (i didn't have shoes on either. My feet were freezing). Not very funny, but Justin got a kick out of it.

We even got our family pictures in the snow. Who would've thought we could do that in Rexburg AND Hurricane. We had so much fun in our Hurricane snow... wish we could do it again (if it melts right after).:)

WE HAVE GREAT NEWS!!!!

Oh Ya! Oh Ya! JUSTIN GOT ACCEPTED TO MEDICAL SCHOOL!!!!

Justin interviewed on Weds and they told him they would call him on Friday to let him know if they wanted him or not. Justin felt that the interview went well. It wasn't quite like he expected. It was a lot more layed back then he thought it was going to be. He flew home on Thursday. They called him while he was at the airport on Thursday and told him that he really impressed them and they wanted him to come to that school. VCOM, part of Virginia Tech, by the way. He was so excited! He called me and told me. He was so cute, he would just randomly start laughing. I think he was still in a little shock. I, of course started crying. He is still so excited. He'll randomly says, "I'm a med student", with a big smile. So we'll head to Virginia in July or August 2009. I don't think I'm ready to lose my husband to his studies. I'm definitely not looking forward to that part. I guess I'll only be widowed for 4 years, right?

We are so so proud of Justin! He has worked so hard to get to this point. It was a little stressful, no A LOT stressful to get here, but I know it will all be worth it in the end. At least that's what I keep telling myself :). We love Justin so much. He is so great and he wanted this so bad. I know the Lord blessed us immensely. Thank you so much for all your prayers. We couldn't have done it without the Lord's help and your support.

We're Back!

I'm sorry we haven't posted forever! Things have been a little crazy around here. Just an update for ya and I'll try to get some pictures posted soon. I'm so far behind...
Anyway, Justin is still in the process of finding a job. He had an interview last week and we're hoping to get a call back this week. He has his med school interview on Weds of this week and he is very very nervous. He doesn't like to talk about it because it makes him feel like he is going to throw up. He is leaving me for 3 whole days! I'm still working at Curves, trying to get extra hours to help out. I have to admit, I don't want Justin to go back to work. It's so fun having him home. He cooks and cleans and helps with kids! I LOVE IT!!!!! He is so sweet about it too. What a great hubby I have. I love him so much and I know everything will work out. Please keep him in your prayers the next few days. He is pretty nervous about his interview. Thanks for your help!

Quite the day...

Well, we've had an emotional last few days. Justin called me Monday morning from work and told me that he had just been layed off from his job. The company that he was working for has been too slow and had to let go of quite a few people. I started crying (trying not to do so, because I was at work-Curves at the time). So right now we're trying to figure out what to do and how we are going to provide for our family. Kinda stressful. On the other hand, we do have some good news. A few hours after Justin got layed off we got a phone call from VCOM, the medical school in VA that Justin would love to go to. His first choice, actually. Anyway, they asked him to come interview with them December 10th!!!!!!!!!
I of course, started crying again. Justin was so excited. Now he's just got to win the board over and GET INTO THAT SCHOOL! So we had quite the day. Pretty emotional with lots of mixed feelings. So if anyone has any ideas for a job, let us know or just keep us in your prayers. :)

Kaden got to be two things this year. He got to come the mommy's work as a zebra and hang out for a little while.

Dad was boring this year. He didn't dress up, but he is still pretty cute!

Doctor Time!

Today was Kaden's 4 month doctor check up and shots. He was 18 1/2 lbs, 85th %tile and 28 inches long, 98th%tile. We've got a big boy on our hands. Kayli was always right in the middle. It's kinda fun having a big guy! We went in to get Kaden's shots and ended up getting a flu shot for Kayli too. Kayli was not happy about that. She'd been talking all day about Kaden having to get shots. Kaden didn't make a peep and little miss princess cried, but not for long. I told her to be big like Kaden. That stopped the crying. Boys are so different. Kayli cried every shot, but I guess our little guy is a little more tough.:) (Probably cause his legs are so fat he couldn't feel it:))

Dirt and Worms

Justin's favorite family home evening memory was making dirt and worms, so he wanted Kayli to have the same memory. I think he had more fun then she did. He was so excited. He even had chocolate all over his face.






It was a fun FHE! One that will be remembered!

Wrapped Around Her Finger

Our little Kayli has her daddy wrapped around her finger. She already knows what to do to get what she wants. The other day, Justin needed to go to Ace Hardware. He told Kayli they were going to the store. So Kayli leans over hugs Justin and says, "I love you Daddy". (They were in a pick-up truck, she was in the middle). Justin about melted. So they go to the store, get what they need and are walking to the front to pay. Kayli sees a little bouncy ball that looks like a volleyball. She picked it up and Justin said, "no, we probably better not get that." So Kayli, the smarty that she is, leaned over to Justin (again) hugged him and said, "I love you daddy". So of course Justin melted again and said "YES! You can have the ball". How do they learn so young. That little girl has her daddy figured out!

Last night I was incharge of the Young Women's activity (I'm the secretary) so I called Camille for some ideas. She's so creative! She suggested many ideas, but the one I went with were these frames. Cute! The frames are just $1 at Michael's and you cover them with scrapbook paper and whatever else you want to. The young women loved them. They turned out really cute. It was fun! Thanks Mill!

kAyLi's NeW bEd!

Kayli gets a big girl bed. Kaden's only got a few more inches until he's grown out of the basinet, so we figured it's time to get Kayli out of the crib and Kaden into the crib. She was so excited about her new bed. We should've done this a long time ago. She puts herself to bed now. The second day we got it she got so excited, because it was dark outside. "It's time to go to bed". Yay, for mom and dad. She also puts herself down for naps as well. It's the wonder bed, if any of you need a little help getting kids to bed:).

Come on, Kaden is 4 months old now, shouldn't he be sleeping through the night?! I'm tired! If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

I think Kaden thinks it's funny! He can sleep all day long...I can't!

Our Park City Trip

This last weekend we got to go on a little trip to see Justin's family. Now that we are 9 hours away we decided to meet in the middle. We were headed to my parents timeshare in Park City. We have grown up going there and we get so excited when we get to go back. We really love it. We have now converted Justin and Erik (Camille's hubby). They love it too. We were hoping to convert Justin's Fam and I think we did. Mom, Dad, and Daniel came from Boise. Krystal and Walt came from Rexburg, and we came from Hurricane. We watched conference, went swimming, shopping, relaxed in the room, and played some cards. When we first met them, they had to take us the this yummy Chinese restaurant. It was almost as good as Fong's in Rexburg, but not quite.

Then after we ate we went to temple square.
