A promise that has gone pfft!
I made a promise to myself not to go anywhere near Chennai city at least till the end of this year. This is to thwart my spending in preparation for the Bangkok tour and the inevitable grande de familya reunion that happens every year back home.
But my Sunday was quite a laid-back! So I decided to drag my Thai colleague to come along with me and spend the entire drizzling afternoon gulping gallons of tea at the cha bar in Haddows road…(with all due apologies to OMI for doubling-up his snap like this one):.jpg)
And I want to strangle my eldest sister now who coerced me to rush to the nearest Lacoste showroom to buy her and some other relatives a pasalubong for the coming Christmas.
With nearly Rs. 5,000 I spent in four hours time, I feel like not removing the price tag and demand them to pay me back, or else I won’t go home!
Sigh! If only my car would have deflated... or the drizzle would have turned to a deadly cyclone!
Argh!

Splurge!
Gone were those days when the company would pat our back from a job well done and reward us a tax free incentive every quarter that makes a bank senior executive drool with envy!
My last extra was five years ago when I have decided to treat myself and splurge it to see the beautiful cities of Vienna, Prague and Milan. Ah, those were the days!
Now I may receive a bonus that is worth the standard LV bag you can get from a
sales discount in Shanghai, so I decided to indulge again to this:.jpg)
my new Tommy watch with a cute free bag...and to this
5 day trip to phuket with my bf on December 22

Getaway: Visakhapatnam
I was in Vizag recently for the preparation of the firm's big Annual meeting on December and after the stressful and rigorous presentations, i decided to explore what the beautiful city could offer...(aside of course the very sumptous andhra biryani and the hottie telugus that seems all over the place....

My big ugly foot!

The symptoms of RHD almost crippled me when I was 13 years old. My knee joints and feet had swollen big time that a small step on the ground made me scream in pain. I could barely walk and my father had to lift and aid me wherever I go, be it at the bathroom or at the dining table…
Imagine my horror when I was wheel chaired at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Science Hospital because I couldn’t walk…again!
The entire area surrounding the thumb region of my right foot was swollen due to a boo-boo in hitting the ball during our beach football match last deepavali at the aurroville beach.
My stupid boyfriend was so unwavering in winning the match that he blocked the ball right between his legs when I am about to execute my deadly kick! The force of the kick was so intense that it dislocated my thumb and strained the muscles surrounding it! And that’s when I fell in agonizing pain and he took the opportunity hitting a goal.
He and his two straight friends may have won the match but he lost a goal anyways on that night *blush*
Darn! Its been four days now and I’m still limping!
I miss my gym…my tt and my badminton matches too…

Hello everyone!

I’m back!
Closet Talk, one of my favorite blogger (who I am dying to meet hopefully one of these days) commented recently here on my blog: ‘ok, so u've moved now. Now BLOG’
He is so right! Its been ages since the last time I posted an entry here and all I can manage to do when I am logged into the cyber world is to download eye candies from various gayblogs…read all my favorite bloggers and sometimes post a comment if their entry gives me that dose feeling of ‘awwwwwwwwwwwww’
The long hiatus is actually the imminent job that is guzzling my enthusiasm to blog, or should I say the lack of interest in doodling down my lackluster life not to mention my greatest attempt to construct a decent-grammatically- error- free paragraphs.
Anyways, life is pretty good!
The boyfriend is all over me and is on the mood for a getaway this coming Christmas holidays somewhere in the crystal beach of Phuket…he is really working his ass to shed off those tire- like love handles to show off his skimpy ginch gonch but knowing his discipline, I am sure he will end up wrapping his waistline with a colorful sarong :)
The firm on the other hand has been so good lately to me. They have relocated me back again to the very scenic Pondicherry, a very good shift from my previous post where I have to endure the tormenting surveillance of my boss from 9 to 6…This could also mean a relief to the hapless gurkas who have to be awake in their deepest slumber just to open the gate for me after my hard nights partying!
My new humble abode isn’t fully furnished yet and I am already cautioned by the company not to mess about the gaudy furniture that is being provided and has restricted me to stick my nose only in my own room…
Grr, fine!
So now I am thinking of turning my room into a funky space, painting it with dash of loud colors and all that jazz…

Moving again...

I am writing this mid way through all the preparations for my office move. By the time you read it though I will be in my new office cum residence, drawing close to the very scenic and tranquil Pondicherry. I wish I could be sorry to say “au revoir” to the bustling city of Chennai, but I’m not. It never was quite my cup of tea, but I’m sure the memories are worth it!

My Desktop

I was tagged by Chase (who made me want to believe that the image on his blog header is actually him) and wanted to know what’s currently on my desktop.
The snap shot screen of my laptop is India’s then most sought after male supermodel -Arjun Rampal. He is my latest obsession among the Bollywood actors. He maybe like a wood in all his recent flicks but what the heck, with his cute, chiseled face and a toned body like that, my boyfriend can now go to hell :)
I can't think of anyone who will be kind enough to oblige, so im tagging no one!
[TAG STARTS HERE]
My Desktop Free View Instruction:
A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.
You can do a screen capture by: [1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key). [2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V). [3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.
B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.
C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
D. Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

am still sick!
.jpg)
Bear with me! Its been a week now since i was wreaked with cold and flu and all i can manage to do is post pictures and articles fished from other sites...
Here's another interesting read from Good As You...
Who's on Top?
The surge in Internet dating has enabled straight singles to delineate their romantic requirements in no uncertain terms—religion, income, smoking policy—but in gay men’s personals, there’s another category in the mix: top or bottom. (For those not in the know, the bottom is, sexually speaking, the one on the receiving, or “catching,” end of things.) In a city where it’s hard enough to figure out how to get sex, gay men must also figure out how to have it. The wrong position in the right guy can be an automatic deal breaker, making an already complex dating world even more difficult to navigate. “I’ll be online,” says Jason, 33, a financial consultant, “chatting with some guy, we’ll be getting along really well, and then I’ll say I’m a bottom and he’ll say, ‘Me too. Okay. Good-bye,’ and sign off.”
Though many men despise being labeled, offering up their versatility as a selling point, like a six-figure income or well-defined lats, others say a versatile’s just a bottom in denial. “New York is a bottom town,” says Jason. “When you’re on manhunt.net and the profile says ‘versatile,’ you know that guy’s a bottom. It means he will top but doesn’t like to. I’m a bottom, and my profile says versatile.”
Jason will top on occasion, when he loses the game known as “Race to the Bottom,” but he doesn’t enjoy it as much. “One of the reasons I don’t top as much is because I don’t have to do as much work—not that I’m a lazy bottom who just lays there.” When he finds himself being asked to top by a guy he likes, he takes Viagra. “That way, there’s not as much potential for it to fall through if I’m not totally into it. There’s not as much riding on the erection factor, and I can just enjoy the sex.”
Some surmise that the Big Apple’s bottom surplus is a reaction to the daily grind of making it in the city. “I have to be on all day,” Jason says. “At night, I don’t want to have all the responsibility on me. And the responsibility is on the top because he has to have an erection in order for sex to happen.” Other men say it’s only natural to want to be a bottom when it’s the bottom who has the most fun. Contrary to what many straight people assume, bottoms are not necessarily submissive or masochistic; any man who’s done some exploring knows the pleasures of the prostate.
Some bottoms call themselves “power bottoms,” which means they take pride in bottoming and are extraordinarily picky about the anatomical endowments of their partners. “A power bottom,” says Stan, 38, a literary agent, “is somebody who can take it pretty easily and likes it a lot. I know a guy like that who’s only topped four guys in his life. I said to him, ‘That’s one per decade!’ ”
With so many proud bottoms in this town, it’s enough to make even the most committed tops question themselves. “My best friend and I are both active tops,” says Dennis, 26, a stylist, “and we’re always talking about how unsophisticated and tacky and eighties we feel, like we’re missing out on all this pleasure. We feel like we’re in the service industry. The bottom gets the good end of the deal.”
Dennis has been thinking a lot about position lately because he keeps getting bait-and-switched: He meets a guy he’s certain is a bottom only to take him home and find that he’s a top. “It’s made it hard to get in a relationship because it seems like every time someone seems right for me on other levels, he turns out to be a top. We’ll try switching, and it’s not satisfying, then fast-forward a month and we’re talking about the other guys we’re dating.”
Some gay men are reluctant to define themselves as top or bottom. Stan fell for his boyfriend when the subject of position came up on their first date. “He said, ‘Are you top or bottom?’ I said, ‘Both,’ and he said, ‘Yay!’ I would never date someone who said he was one or the other.”
Bill, a 36-year-old journalist, spent time in Amsterdam, where he found that most gay men were versatile, then moved to New York, where everyone was obsessed with top/bottom. “It’s very American to have to decide, like ‘McDonald’s or Burger King?’ Why should you limit yourself that way?” Versatility benefits everyone, he says. “The best tops are also bottoms because they know what it feels like.”
The issue is made more complex by that fact that looks are no indication of proclivity. Gone are the handkerchief codes of the seventies, where a hankie in the left pocket indicated a guy was a top, and the right indicated a bottom.
Some say there’s a reverse correlation between appearance and position—many short guys and drag queens are strict tops, while steroidal gym rats can be devoted bottoms. “All those Chelsea boys are bottoms!” cries Adrian, 28, a filmmaker. “I remember being at Barracuda one night, and this drag queen was going around to different guys saying, ‘Bottom, bottom, bottom,’ but no one was willing to admit it.”
Some men are tops when they’re single but become bottoms once they fall in love. Adrian considered himself a top when he met his current boyfriend, Mike, who had never bottomed. “He had issues about it,” Adrian says. “But he was willing to be a bottom with me because of the emotional connection.”
The first time, Mike was nervous, so they joked about it to make things more comfortable. “I said, ‘Honey, it’s going to hurt me as much as it’s going to hurt you.’ We were laughing hysterically. He speaks five or six languages, and he was going back and forth between them, saying, ‘Why do you gay people do this?’ ”
Since then, they’ve been jockeying for position. Adrian now calls himself “a bottom who’s not willing to give it up.” “I’m a white boy with a Puerto Rican butt,” he says, “so Mike’s always saying, ‘Look at your butt! You have to be the bottom!’ We’re always chasing each other around the apartment, these two 145-pound guys trying to pin each other down.”
For gay men who haven’t yet found their Mr. Right, the difficulty in New York may have less to do with position than competition. “I do yoga four times a week and have 7 percent body fat,” says Stan, “and I still can’t get guys to say hi to me. The real challenge in New York has nothing to do with being a top or bottom. It’s getting a second date.”

The Long Distance Love affair
This is because we thrive on blurring of lines. We want to be with our significant others 24/7, but we also want our space. We wish them to lavish us with attention, yet we also don’t want to be smothered. Indeed, there is no single formula for a happy relationship. But, wait; is there really such a thing as a “happy” relationship?
People who live miles away from each other and manage to stay steady for over three months, perhaps, have the biggest challenge. In a kind of relationship where romance is equated to physical presence, staying true to a relationship can be very difficult. Even with the availability of virtual connectors like the mobile phone and the Internet, the number of long distance failures still trump the successes. If you are currently in a long-distance relationship (LDR) or are planning to get into one, take heed of the advice from those who have been there.
Name: Athens
The situation: Hers was the spin-off of “The Terminal.” She and her boyfriend of over two years would only see each other if and when she passes Manila to go to New York. Athens lives in Davao, the guy lives in Manila. “The whole duration of what were us was characterized by being physically together only four times, each of those consisted only of a few hours.”
The coping mechanism: “We call and text each other every day.”
What happened: The guy turned his phone off. “You’d seriously have withdrawal symptoms when you don’t have a phone in hand or hear ‘The subscriber cannot be reached.’”
Advice:
Name: Marc
The situation: His girlfriend left for Canada to be with her family and try new career paths. Marc works for a call-center in Makati so his nights, which were the usual time his girl called, were warped. The girl had promised to be back after two years, but she stayed away longer and longer, their conversations started to imply otherwise and eventually ended up with her saying she wasn’t coming back.
The coping mechanism: “I clung to the hope that she would be returning so all my actions were predetermined and according to what would have been had she come back. We talked on YM every day, sent each other photos via e-mail, called, etc.”
What happened: Both Marc and the girl eventually settled with other people. They lasted two years.
Advice:
Name: Dhay
The situation: Dhay is a half-German, half-Pinoy, born in Germany, but lived and grew up in Davao until she turned 21, during which she moved to London, United Kingdom. Boyfriend is Pinoy born in the Philippines, who lived in Manila until he was 15 before moving to Oklahoma, United States. “There’s a six-hour time difference. We travel across the globe to see each other about three to four times a year.”
Advice:

I guess the most painful lesson I have learned in my life thus far is that the moment you love someone, you have given him the capacity to hurt you, that how much you hurt is equal to how much you have loved and that getting hurt is proportionate to having too many expectations...

Rubbing shoulder with Simbu

After three rigorous days of bombardment with figures, graphs, boring technical seminars and whatnot, I dragged lem, a Filipino colleague of mine along with a Bengali colleague (sigh, if only he is in the league of sushmita, kajol, rani and bipasha) to unwind at the Bolan Bar in Park Sheraton…
I was half through with my Singapore sling when a familiar face entered the bar. I had so much difficulty juggling him in my memory why he is so recognizable…until I realized that his face is actually in the movie billboards flooding the entire metropolitan! The waiter later told me that his name is Simbu! Damn, he is HOT while he looks like a dalit in all his movies (or maybe he was deliberately deglamorized in such manner).
Hmmm, I never knew we all go to the same places with these page 3 personalities...Here are the others:
Aravind Swammy- seen him at the lobby of Rdha Park Inn ages ago
Ajith and wife – I guess at the Distilled in Taj Connemara
Sham – at the Blossom restaurant in Radha Park Inn (he is the HOTTEST of the lot)
Hasina –at the Anandha Gym, Pondicherry
A famous non chennaite cricketer at the Leather Bar, in The Park
Hopefully soon, i will be getting the autograph of Vikram :)

Happy birthday bro!
Darn, am such a jerk that i completely forgot! got no reasons though...
Anyways, always remember we are all here kiddo to be with you no matter what! Check your red card, a small gift has been deposited to treat yourself and your friends ;)
Below is my bro's usual rant:
Time, The Endless Idiot Runs Screaming
It's my birthday today and I am turning... um ... past thirty.
I read somewhere that the age of immortality is thirty. Che Guevara died at thirty. Alexander The Great died at the age of thirty. So did our great hero Jose Rizal. Beyond thirty our idealism gradually fades. We start to compromise.
The beauty of youth is that we look at the world with burning fire in our eyes. We embrace life with burning passion. We are so consumed with our ideas. We had the luxury to read and think . Our unadulterated mind, free from contaminants from the real world, is receptive from ideas and alternative views.
Back then, I wanted to change the world.
Once, I was moved by an angry poet Philip Larkin. In his poem This Be The Verse, he lamented:
Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can
don't have any kids yourself.
It struck a chord in me. A transcendent awareness came over me. yes, sort of like an epiphany. Probably because I lived a difficult life. I came from a very poor family and I was raised in a community where I could taste and smell the stink of misery.
I was young. I was inspired. So much intoxicated with ideas, I had illusions of grandeur. I took upon myself the mission to one day extricate my family and the community from the closed cycle of poverty. I wanted to start from the grass roots, and sow the seeds of of changes. I ran for kabatang barangay , became a member of every NGO empowering the community and I thought joining an underground subversive movement.I wanted to do many things. I wanted to become part of of the Green Peace Movement.
I wanted to slap a multi-million peso damage suit against multinational corporations for polluting the earth. I want to patch holes in our ozone layer, invent a serum that could make trees grow in minutes. I wanted to be a volunteer of the UN Peace Corps and help rebuild lives ravaged by obscure ideologies. I want to be part of Amnesty International and be fervent advocate of human rights. I wanted to start a movement that would crumble down institutions mainly established as a form of social control.
I wanted to wander and see the world. I wanted to live a nomadic existence, meet interesting people and experience different cultures. I wanted to travel to the Amazon Rain forest and live with the Matis tribe. I want to experience the Tanzanian dawn, try the iboga of Babongo in Gabon , party at Ibiza, and feel the ambiance Ipanema and Leblon in Brazil.
But, as we grow older we tend to see the word at a different perspective. We become more realistic and more practical. Yes, we compromise.
Whether we like it or not the number of digits in our bank account matters.
As we age, we feel that time is running, like the endless idiot who always runs screaming, it constantly reminds us how much time is left for us. So we tend to rush thing. We plea-bargain with ourselves.
I am beyond thirty and I still want to do those things.Well, probably in my own little way as a citizen of the world. On how I live my life.
I think it was E.M. Forster in The Room With a View, who said that at some point in our life we aspire to look for a spot that we could declare as our own territory and do whatever we want, whatever makes us happy. Literally, I want to look for some place where I could settle down and live a complete life. Yes, I dream of having a family with two kids in a posh village, with security guards and at least with two cars in my garage. I wanted to raise my kids, play with them, bring them to school attend and PTA meetings.
But then again, I still have to hurdle this important battle in my life. A few days from now I will be taking the bar exam.
Wish me well.
Happy birthday to me!

on wearing kurtas
I thought Kurtas look good only to sharukh khan or to well built, dark and tall south Asians!
But I was wrong! They look cool on us too! When I bought one for Mark as a pasalubong, I decided that the style should have that fashionable hippie element – shorter than the traditional one, made with lighter materials, and a-not-so-elaborate-decorative –treatments that is designed to be worn over jeans.
Alright, he may have been short-listed at level 4 for the UCB model hunt, but hey it looks cool too to plain folks like me :)

Footsie at the magazine stall!

I would definitely recommend the magazine section of Landmark, Spencer Plaza as one of the hot cruising spot for gays who are looking for hook up! I guess all it needs to take is to dress sharp, ogle at those male models in the lifestyle magazines and voila, probably a quickie will be offered to you in hot platter!
I decided to kill my time sitting and browsing the latest edition of GQ magazine while waiting for my appointment with the GM of one of the biggest stationary companies in India. I was so immersed sniffing the sample perfumes (that long floded strip found on the edges) of Jean Paul Gaultier when this twink, who must be 21 0r 22, sporting a French beard, wearing a faded black baggy diesel jeans with a tight BRASIL green t shirt and a flip flop came nearer and pulled the M magazine. He was quite oblivious with the crowd opposite to us who were all as well absorbed with the IT and Management magazines when all of a sudden I felt his legs rubbing my thighs…
Blood oozed down to my crotch when all I can manage to say with my sweetest smile is: ‘hi, I love your shirt!’ and made my exit to answer the call from the goddamn manager who wanted to meet me at SUBWAY resto!
I called and informed my bf after the incidence and he retorted back: ‘ya, ya! I used to do that during my younger years too…’
Grrrrrrr!

Re-visiting my Alma Mater and the tranquil Miagao
Thanks to the Alumni home coming sponsored by the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences at UP Miagao! I may have seen just a few of my classmates and friends, nonetheless the moments I shared with my mentors and my young org mates are indeed worth relishing!
And who would not be amazed that the trees we have planted 7 years ago has contributed so much to the lush greeneries of the campus…though the buildings and the classrooms (that have shaped students who are now- ambassadors of goodwill and some, who may have joined the rebels in the Cordillera mountains) badly need a complete face-lift!
The newly erected diwata (goddess of the sea) is a pleasant to the eye but could it be more appropriate if it would have been a sirena (mermaid) raised up at the wet laboratory overlooking the gulf of Panay?
**************************************************
And of course no one can ever miss the very imposing baroque church of Miagao who was included in UNESCO’s world heritage list.
Recalling my 4 years of stay in this serene town, this is my refuge where I constantly flagellate myself from the disastrous results of my long exams :)

On my departure to manila, my check-in luggage blinked a 31.7 kg in the weighing scale. Knowing that the allowable weight is 30 kg I thought I could make my way by seducing the guy at the counter of Bangalore International Airport with my sweet smile. But all hell breaks loose when he told me in utter shamelessness that I need not to pay now at the counter but instead he will meet me upstairs to settle the unnecessary charges.
I was aghast with disbelief that right in front of my face corruption is so skilled for the public to see …!
And I ended up paying nothing when I reported the incidence to the GM of Thai Airways, Chennai branch who happened to be a closest friend of the company I’m working with…
Sigh, am sure the pathetic guy would have lost his dear job the next day! And I couldn’t care less!
**********************************************************************************
I developed a footballer’s crotch after an hour of locating the transit counter of Suvarnabhumi Airport to obtain my boarding pass en route to Manila. The queue is unbelievably stretched that I almost surrender to my strained feet when suddenly *gasp* Milind Soman is right there beside me! The Indian supermodel seemed so bewildered in locating someone… and suddenly *pooof* with a blink of an eye he disappeared just like that!
The ponytailed Milind is damn stunning with his rugged cargo pants and plain white shirt…
**********************************************************************************
You can be so sure that boarding flight TG 325 to Manila could indeed be at the Gate C10 due to loud OFWs.
And do we need to remind these flashy OFWs from Europe that their fur overcoats will be blemished with loads of mold due to persistent humid in tropical countries like Philippines…

Big fat Brahmin wedding

“you must come and I will never accept any bullocks excuses” came the reply of my only friend who seems still clueless of my sexuality amongst the straight friends I have.
The moron (who sports a hairstyle that made him look like a porn star in the series Barely Legal) is still recovering from his grueling jetlag from San Francisco forced me in the last minute to attend his brother’s wedding reception last night…
With loads of crap covering the entire space of my table that needs to be mended before my Philippine holiday on Tuesday, spending 5 hours including at least another hour to waste in the horrible traffic of Chennai is just too much to reckon with… but because he is my best friend and anticipating that there will be heavy weight kollywood stars attending the reception, I grab my tavera key without bothering to change my casual office attire…only to my dismay that fat ugly aunties flooded the wedding hall.
Sigh.

Bling!

Darn, I was so bogged down with loads of crap that all I can manage to do is upload a stupid pose!
Jason, pardon my get up…I know it’s only you who could do justice to this fashion statement, but what the heck, sue me for ‘nothing but a second rate copycat’ hehehehe!
The bling corteousy of Pantaloons. I bought it for my sister as a pasalubong!
