CHRISTMAS

I only have a few photos of Christmas - silly me. Everything always seems to happen too quickly on Christmas morning and I just simply didn't grab my camera...so sad. Here is what I was able to snap pictures of.

TIME TO UPDATE

I thought since it has been 2 months since our last post that it is a good time to update. We have been doing plenty of fun things to bring the Christmas spirit into our house. Some of the highlights: Going to downtown Denver to watch the "Parade of Lights" in single digit weather (burrrr!!), A Santa train ride in the mountains - just beautiful! It started snowing while we were on the train and it was magical :-) Picking out our Christmas tree and of course decorating it - I love how the kids put all of their ornaments in the same spot - we had to rearrange only a few times :-) Hope your holiday season is fantastic as well - I'm sure I'll update again soon...

A forgotten post

Last month for our preschool field trip we went to the fire station. It seems I have been so wrapped up in "preschool" these days that I have forgotten to blog about anything, and when I do blog, it is about preschool - ahh, such is life right now, I guess.

THEME PARKS = FUN, HEADACHE, DIZZY, FUN

Tim's lil' sister came into town on her way to BYU Idaho to visit us and the kiddos. We loved having her and wished she could stay longer. It was fairly quiet during the week with Tim being at work, but when the weekend came, we were ready to party. We took everyone to a mini theme park (especially for the alpine slide.) It was lots of fun...but it is very different experience now as an adult.







Is it just me, or do they each have the same face eating that cotton candy...

BASEBALL SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

Rylan's first season of baseball has come to a close. I'm so proud of him. He has learned so much. Next year, however, I think we'll try to get out of daddy being his coach (it's much harder to listen to dad rather than another coach). We enjoyed it and of course, so did he!

After the game, we had a pizza party with cupcakes (which I brought) and the kids received their trophies and pictures- so fun!

Snips, Snails and DINO Tails!

I heart internet tutorials. Seriously, my kids would be so bored if it weren't for amazingly talented people who post their wonderful ideas onto the internet for me to copy. I admit it - I spend way too much time trying to find these fun ideas - but really - who can resist it when your two little munchkins have cute little dino bums??!!

Cinderella

My first barbie cake! A friend of mine was stressed about her daughter's birthday party and asked if I would be willing to do the cake - of course I obliged. She wanted a Cinderella cake - yikes! I remember my mom making them for me as a kid and loving them! I never realized how much work they are???!! It makes me laugh because it's not very proportioned and is totally lumpy (not sure how to fix that?) so I definitely want a re-do, but for a first I guess it's not too bad.

A Royal Tea Party

I am still obsessing over this party I threw for one of my friends daughters. With so many photos I wanted to share, I had to narrow it down (and it's still an overload of pics!) I loved every detail - from the crown sandwiches to the cute girlie tutus! Did I mention that I don't get enough of the "girly" at my house?? I have to live my "girl" dream vicariously through friends daughters - oh well. The party was so much fun! They decorated crowns and wands inside, then we moved outside for lunch, with "tea" (hot chocolate) and a dessert table (I tried my hand at home-made macarons - yikes!) And can you believe how utterly cute those tea cups are - seriously! Each guest received their very own tutu prior to the party and a beautiful butterfly cupcake as a thank you for attending. The girls looked so cute and hopefully had fun - I know I did!

Sunshine & Summertime

Lots of summer things going on at our house. Of course, baseball is in full swing. Rylan started t-ball this year and is absolutely loving it! He is quite the hitter...that's really all he wants to do - being in the field is sooo boring. Rylan also learned how to ride his bike without training wheels and has been whipping around the neighborhood like a pro. We've been to the beach and lake quite a bit already and the boys ask if they can go "boating" (canoeing) practically every morning. I've been very absent from the blogging world lately so I've got lots to post - a royal tea party that I threw for one of my girlfriends daughters is in the mix - be back soon!!
