Toby's Version of the Army Crawl

Then and Now-

Remember when Toby was first born? Lots of dark hair, brown eyes, nothing would fit him and I thought he looked more like me (Ilene).

Now at 7 months, his hair has lightened, his eyes turned blue, he loves to smile and laugh, and he looks more like Greg (in my opinion).

What a difference!

Toby Doesn't Like Everything-

If you know Toby, you would know that Toby likes pretty much anything. He loves to try new foods and he'll grab your food out of your hands if you're not paying attention.

So it was completely out of character for him when I had him try applesauce and he gagged on it! I guess there really are a few things Toby won't enjoy eating!

More Tie Shirts!

So Toby outgrew his first set of tie shirts and I decided I liked them enough to make more! These were a lot easier to make; apparently I've perfected the technique or something.

I made a black vinyl one and a pink striped one. I have one more to make and I bought red satin ribbon. I was thinking of making a bow-tie, but Greg didn't like that idea. :( I'll just have to make it a red satin tie.

Reading Time

We haven't started reading Toby any children's board books yet, but ever since he was a newborn, Greg has been reading Harry Potter to him.

Greg is on book 3, Prisoner of Azkaban and I must say, it's been a fun experience!

(oh yeah, the tattoo - I was going to put up pictures of his "Ironman" tattoo, but I forgot and posted these instead! Oh well, no need to now!)

Our new place has almost as much usable space as our 3 level condo had in Vernal! Every morning I get to wake up to birds chirping and it feels like we live at a park. And even though our new kitchen is smaller, I like it better because I can cook while watching TV (I don't like cooking if I'm stuck in a back corner of our apartment, like in Vernal!).

We feel like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders since moving and even though we have a few added expenses and problems because of the move, it was the right decision. We don't plan on moving again until we can move into our own home - packing and unpacking is a colossal hassle!

At the Movies

So we decided to try taking Toby to a movie.

We saw "Ironman" which was better than I expected! And Toby was so good! He watched the movie while drinking his bottle and he didn't even react strongly during loud or scary parts.

However, towards the end of the movie Toby's attention waned and I stood up with him in the back for a few minutes. He loved it when any music would come on! He would bounce on my lap in time to it.

We may have to do this again!
