Kaydence's First Christmas

Christmas this year came and went too quick. Usually I start holiday festivities and such right after Thanksgiving, but I have been so busy with Kaydence. But all in all, we had a great holiday season.

Kaydence was very happy Christmas morning, luckily. I am so glad! We went next door to grandma and grandpa Rowley's house at 6:30am. Normally they wake up there at 5:30, but this year people slept in, which I am grateful for :) Then later that morning, all the Rowley's came over for the traditional Christmas Morning Breakfast and to our suprise, my cousin Ginger announced that she is finally pregnant!!!! I am so happy for her! Then that afternoon we went over to the grandma and grandpa Goodman's for Christmas dinner. Kaydence didn't have a very good afternoon. I can't wait for her to get better! She now has a schedule where she will be happy most of the morning and then when the afternoon rolls around, she gets fussy on and off and alot of times it continues into the evening, but I'm glad that I know what to expect instead of not knowing when she is going to be fussy so we can't plan anthing around it. But all I know is that I am so blessed to have a sweet child of God. It took me forever to get pregnant, which is probably a good thing because I don't think I would be able to handle a colicky baby as well as I am if it hadn't been such a challenge to get her here. Heavenly Father really knows what he is doing and he knows me so well. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and for Jesus Christ. Anytime I am having a rough day and feel like it's too much to handle, I just think of my savior's atonement and those thoughts immediately go away. I love my savior so much and am so grateful I have the gospel in my life. I can't imagine how much harder life would be without the knowledge of the gospel. I also can't imagine how much harder life would be without the best husband in the world! I am so lucky to have such a supportive husband. He is so good with taking turns "bouncing Kaydence on the ball", changing diapers, etc. He is such a good daddy. Kaydence and I sure are lucky.

Kaydence is 6 Weeks Old

I cannot get over how cute this little girl is!! Today she is 6 weeks old, so I decided to do a little 6 week photoshoot. That's just my excuse to take more pictures of her, hehe. I just can't stop taking pictures of her.

Happy Dec 21st

8 years ago today me and Tanner had our very first date! I can't believe how long it's been. It only seems like yesterday. We were so little. I love you honey!!!!

Temple Lights

The other night it was really nice out, so we decided to take Kaydence to see the temple lights and get some hot cocoa. She looked so cute all bundled up. She liked looking at the lights, but it only lasted about 20 mins. It was fun to see her enjoy the lights. I can't believe how big this girl is getting. I watched a video of the day she was born yesterday and she was so little!!!

Stroller Rides

I've taken Kaydence on a few stroller rides. The first one she didn't seem to like, but it was when she was only like a week old, so I didn't take her on any others until a couple weeks later and she likes them now. It's fun to find things that she likes. Another thing that she likes is bouncing on those big exercise balls. This is one of the only ways I can seem to calm her down when she is fussy. Too bad it doesn't have a back support on the ball because I find myself bouncing for an hour or so at a time and my back gets so sore! But it's worth worth it.

RIP Missi Girl

This post is dedicated to my Missi.

I had one of the hardest days last week. My dog, Missi, has been sick for a long time with a terrible cough. She was also going blind and deaf and it was getting worse and worse over time. She was in so much pain coughing almost 24/7 that we had to put her down. I am so sad and feel terrible, but it comforts me to know that she is not in any pain anymore. I got Missi for Christmas when I was 10 and she has been the best dog. She was always there for me. She always made me feel better if I was down or just not feeling good. I am so glad that I got to spend 14 good years with her. She is such a sweetheart. I got to spend all morning with her and give her a bath the day she was going in. It was very emotional for me, but I am so glad I got to bathe her one last time.

I just want to write down one of the memories I have of her. One day I was in my room and I wasn't in a very good mood. I didn't want to be alone, and so I had Missi in there with me. After about a half hour, she got off the bed and tried to go downstairs. I told her to come back and being the good dog she is, she came back. She did it several times again and I kept saying "No, Missi, come back", so she came back again and then a minute or two later she frantically jumped off the bed and ran in a couple circles and then peed everywhere! It was so sad that I made her stay there with me. She was just trying to be a good dog and not pee in the house. It made me laugh though :)

I miss you Missi. I will see you in heaven.

Christmas FHE Night

Kaydence was so happy for the Annual Christmas FHE night at grandma's. I was so proud of her. She was good the entire time! I love nights like that.

4 Weeks Old!!

My sweet little girl is 4 weeks old! I can't believe how fast it is going by. I am trying to enjoy every moment, even the times she is fussy because she's never going to be this small ever again!

She is starting to SMILE a lot. It's so fun to see her respond to us.
