Orlando

We got to spend a week in Orlando (thanks to military discounts) with our friends the Davis' and Ericksons. We had so much fun and it went way too fast.

Halloween!

Van's first Halloween. I couldn't help myself, I had to get this costume for him, thanks to the suggestion from Marin. The pictures are great, but it's even better in person. 

I love this picture. He's already a pro at 11 months.

After about 3 houses he decided he was satisfied with the candy he'd already gotten.

Life will soon not ever be the same.

 

Summer

This will basically be our summer through pictures (so it's going to be long). But first, some key events and milestones:

- We moved from Los Angeles to Utah

- Nate did 6 weeks of basic officer training in San Antonio

- Van and I stayed with my parents

- Van got his first two teeth

- He learned to crawl

- He started pulling himself up onto his feet next to things

- Nate came home from training and we moved to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri

- Nate started working as a dentist

- Van got four more teeth

- He figured out how to climb up stairs

- He's starting to stand by himself for a few seconds at a time

Nate's graduation and 6 months old

I'm so proud of Nate. He graduated from dental school this month. It's been a long road but he made it. He's an excellent dentist. Way to go bud! A lot of Nate's family and my parents and Marin came out for the weekend. We had a great time with everyone. Thanks again for coming out!

We just happened to catch the spit-up coming out of his mouth. Pretty funny.

Van is now 6 months old. I can't believe it. His little personality is evolving more and more. He's so much fun. Some things about him right now:

He's 15 lbs. 11 oz and 25 in. long

He's getting closer to crawling and is quite good at sitting by himself.

He loves to pull Nate's arm hairs and pinch the back of my arms.

He also loves to grab our cheeks or mouths or my hair.

He loves eating solid food and has liked everything except for avocados so far.

He still loves the bath but doesn't do much in the pool, he just kind of sits with his straight face. 

His favorite place to poop is while he's in the bouncer in the bathroom. 

His legs are really strong.

He prefers to sleep on his stomach and likes to find the corners and sides of his crib.

He likes to scratch things and feel their textures.
