Our trip to Vegas

This is me and Randy at Vegas when we went back in October or November. We had so much fun.We stayed at Imperial Palace, right on the strip. Actually right in the middle of the strip by everything. We went to see the show Ice. It is a Russian ice skating show. It is not just ice skating, it had acrobatics and comedy. It was way fun. We also went to see the Secret Garden at the Mirage. The new baby tigers were so cute. They were so playful and beautiful. We also went to see Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. That was a good show as well. They made the whole audience get involved. We had a blast. Sorry it took me so long to get these pictures up. School was kinda hectic. The lion is a white lion, which is one of the rarest there are. Not many are left in the world. The baby tigers were so cute. They are all from one litter. There were 5 all together. 3 were white with stripes 1 was orange with stripes and 1 was pure white, no stripes. When it was feeding time they were all over the handlers, waiting for their bottles.

School's out!

YEAH! School is over for the semester. I am in my english class but just waiting for him to grade my final paper. I missed 9, eeeeewwww, yikes, but I got an A in the class from all my homework. I had so much extra credit that it bumped me back up. I had a lot of fun in my classes this year. Next semester I am taking a general physcology class and a health and wellness class. Both are online because of my surgery on the 23rd of January. Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone! Hopefully we will see each other for dinner or something. Bye!

Thanksgiving

I am a horrible mother and did not take any pictures of my family over Thanksgiving, but my dad took a few so I will get some from him. I will have him e-mail them to me. We had so much fun. We were in SLC and had dinner at my parent's house. Wednesday, we all went to Preston's house, my brother, and played games. We played a game where you write down like 4 or 5 names. Anybody you know, preferably famous, but anyone, then you split up into 2 teams and try to guess what the person is describing. It is fun. We were all laughing so hard. Then we played on his WII. We ate meatballs, deviled eggs, chips and dip, and all kids of other food. My whole family was there. All my sisters and families and both parents. Then on Thanksgiving day we all congregated at my parents house for dinner. It was so nice to be with ALL my family. Unfortunately, Randy had to work Friday morning so we had to go home. Black Friday, I got up at 4 AM and went to Wal-Mart. That is the ONLY store here in town. I picked up a few things but nothing major, nothing I should have woke up for. I have been busy trying to finish all my final assignments and my final 8 page essay for the semester. I have also been busy trying to prepare myself for the most wonderful Christmas gift I could ever receive. I have finally got my reccomend to go to the temple to get my endowments out. I will be going January 3, 2009. I am so excited. I am getting surgery on January 23rd for my ankle. A full re-construction of my ankle. I wanted to go to the temple before I get my surgery because it will lay me down for around 3 months. I am so happy. Oh yeah, I found out that I have a herniated disk in back. That is why I have been in so much pain for so long. I have to get steroid shots in my back, 3 of them. I am so thankful for my wonderful family. I have an awesome husband who supports me and loves me through all my trials. I am thankful that he can go to work and support us. I am thankful for my two beautiful daughters. They keep me on my toes and always watch out for me. I am grateful each day I wake up and can walk or carry my girls. I am grateful I have eyes to see the beautiful sky and trees. I am grateful we have food on the table and a roof over our heads. I, like Dani, am also grateful for a washing machine and dryer. Also, for a dishwasher, if it starts working agin. I am grateful for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and all that they did for me. I am grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the scriptures and the gospel and the joy they bring to my life. I am also very thankful for the power of tithing. I have so much to be thankful for on this beautiful day. So much more than I could ever mention. I love you all. Hopefully I will be able to add pictures in the next couple of days. Keep checking. Thanks Maybe we can get a group of us together and plan a temple trip next year some time. Love ya all

bye-bye hair

This is the day I asked my wonderful little sister to "trim" Bry's hair. Well, Bryton decided she wanted it like Mommy's and cut a lot. She does a good job and she does it FREE!! :) Erin cut about 6 inches off. It was so nice not to have to fight her to do her hair anymore. I guess so much for that, right.

Clumsy Me!

So here is an update on my back. I went back to the doctor on Tuesday the 21st. Well, I am off work for another 4 weeks and still in physical therapy. That will be more than 2 months off work. Luckily I am getting paid for it. Well, at least I get a break from everything in Vegas baby! Randy, Robbin, Brady and me are going to Vegas on Nov. 9-11. Robbin is one of my best friends here and Brady is her boyfriend. She has never been to Las Vegas before. We found flight tickets for $60 round trip. We couldn't pass it up. I just have to keep up my excercises while I am gone. Well, that's my update on my back. It is feeling a little better and my balance is getting better. Hopefully things will get better so I can go find a new job after this is all over.

My Life Right Now

As most of you know I live in Wyoming, a nice quiet, calm, no congestion or smog state. The only problem with that is I live across the street from the hospital. It's a frequent stop for helicopters. I have become immune to hearing them, most of the time. One problem is when they fly one right after another 5 or 6 in a row, it gets old. I do love where I live however. As I have stated before, I am a busy woman now. I have been working, except for the past 4 weeks because of my back injury. I started back to school, which is good. I am tutoring another woman in my math class. I am a full time Mom and a full time wife. I may be busy but I still like to get out every once in awhile. When we came down to SLC once, I went to Nicole's wedding. She looked so beautiful. Also, one time when I came down to SLC, Rachel, Tasha, Laura and me went to the park and ate lunch while our kids played and we talked. It was so good to get to see them again. We all need to get together. I don't know about any of you kids, but mine both like to play dress up with Mommy's clothes and shoes.Bryton is always putting on my shoes and now Alex is doing it too. The thing is Alexys has a new fashion statement to make, my socks! Sorry about the two Nicole and I pictures, my computer is stupid. I can't wait until we get our new computer completely done with internet on it. I have more to say but Bryton has ANOTHER bloody nose. I'll be back another time.

Slacker!

I have been a bit of a slacker lately. I have been crazy busy with school and everything else. I have had essays to write like crazy. I love writing them and all but for some reason one specific essay was so hard for me. I have been having kinda a hard month and needed time away from everything and everyone. One good thing though is that we bought a new computer. It is so nice. It's a DELL. It is an LCD monitor and mini tower. We needed a new computer and since Randy and I are both going to school, we figured that it was time. It only cost us like $450 for all of it. The monitor was separate but still. The total was around $450. Randy found a really good deal through DELL. I am actually at school right now on their computers but I had some extra time before class started. Life is o.k. right now. I have been in a bit of a slump, but Randy has been so supportive. Basically the MS is kicking my butt right now. I will beat it. I just turned in a paper last week titled "I'm A Survivor." I will survive. Bryton is loving preschool and Randy likes his job. He is so happy not to be in retail anymore. I am still on Leave of Abscence, but will find out Wednesday if it will continue. I hope it does because when I called work they told me that they had made the schedule for October and could maybe give a couple of days. My back is getting better but not perfect yet. Well, I gotta got to class so I will write more another time.

Update!

-k- on my last post I had said I hurt my back at work. Well, here is what is going on now. I went to the doctor. He told me that I need to go on LOA for 2 weeks and light duty for 2 weeks. Then he said no because there is no light duty at a nursing home. SO he said what I will do is put you on light duty for 4 weeks, no lifting more than 10 pds. I told him I have a 1 year old and he said ok no lifting more than 10 pds if you don't have to. No bending or twisting and no standing or sitting for prolonged periods. He told me that more than likely they would just take me off for 4 weeks becaseu of the no light duty. Well then he said I want you to go to a chiropractor for 4 weeks, 3 times/week. I have been going to physical therapy now and He told me I needed to walk everyday and ice my back for at least 20 minutes. It is starting to get better but it still hurts and I have to be careful how I bend over or pick something up. Well, I will have more for everyone at a later date. I will be in SLC next weekend, the end of the month for a doctors appointment for my ankle/foot. After that I will have news of surgery or no surgery. Well, ttyl Bye!!

Work injury!

I know I haven't been on in awhile but I have been so busy with scool and work and kids. Any way about 2 weeks ago I hurt my back at work. I was lifting a patient from bed into her wheelchair. She lifted up her arms out of the lift we have to use and she slipped through. Another girl and I grabbed her so she didn't hit hard and some how I tweeked my back. I went to the E.R. and they took me off work for a week. I went into the orthopedic surgeon here in town and now I am off for 4 weeks more than likely. He put me on light duty with no lifting more than 10 pounds. I don't think work is very happy. By the way I don't know if I have said it before but I work at the nursing home here in town. It is within a mild 10 or 15 walk form my house. Well I have to go to physical therapy now. I will check back with everyone later. BYE!

CNA Jobs

I have good news and I know that I have't had a picture up on the last couple of posts, but I GOT A JOB!!!! I will be working as a CNA at Rocky Mt. care. It is a nursing home and rehabilatation center here. They will pay for me to finish school up to a RN and will work with my schedule and Randy's. I am so excited. Once I take my final hands on test ($210), they will pay my either $10/hr with paid vacation, benefits, or $13 /hr no vacation, benefits. They are really good to work with you if you need days off as well. I don't know what to do. $10 or $13, what do you think? Oh yeah, by the way, here is another fun new/old memory I probably have to get surgery again on my ankle. The orthopedic surgeon down in SLC said he wants to go in and move my heel back underneath my foot because my ankle and my heel aren't lined up together. I have such a high arch and that is why I twist my ankle so much. I don't want to do it though until the beginning of the year.

So on my last post I told you about my CNA class. Well, I am now going to tell you more, kinda. I am so nervous because my final written test is Monday the 28th. It is on everything we have learned in class, 24 chapters. We have been working our butts off trying to pass off all of our skills. The last test we took on the last 4 chapters I only missed 1, but I am so nervous to take the final test. I hope I do okay. I guess just wish me luck! On Tuesday and Wednesday we have our clinicals, which are at the nursing home, where we get hands on experiance. Oh yeah on a happy note, we are getting 3 new windows in our home. They all need to be replaced but we are doing the 3 that don't open right now. They are the biggest windows in our home. I am so excited, they are actually going to open now. Well, wish me luck!? P.S. I tought this was a good picture and it is showing the new me for the start of my new life!

School!

So I had an awesome day. There will be no picture with this post, but I have one other post that has pictures. Anyway, today I went to my CNA class and when I got home there was a message on my machine. It was the lady at the college that is in charge of all the financial aide stuff. I had already recieved and accepted my $569 pell grant I was offered, but because now that both me and Randy are both going to school, it bumped it up to $820. Then she said oh yeah, you have also recieved 2 more grants. I went onto the website and I got another $244 in pell grants from the school. YEAH, I was so excited! Now I don't have to pay for books or anything. It has been such a good day, but unfortunately tomorrow I have a test at school. That's ok, I aced my last one on Tuesday, Alexys's birthday. My CNA class is so much fun. The class is 4 hours per day from 8am-12pm, but it goes so fast. We talk about everything and goof around, not just read and learn.

Happy 1st Birthday Moose!!

This is the cake I made Randy for his Birthday on the 28th of June. There are 28 candles that are in the number 28. The cake was a white cake with the rainbow chunks in it and chocolate frosting ( that's why you can't see it very well, my flash is being weird), all though, I should have done white frosting, he likes it better. It was still good. I like chocolate better anyway. Sorry Randy!! We didn't do anything for his birthday because he was working 7 pm-7 am then he came home and slept till he had to get up to go to work again. This was the cake my mom bought for all of us and the one she bought for Alex. Wow, was she excited to get her own cake and do it all by herself.

On Sunday, my mom wanted to do a birthday party for Alex because we won't see them again for at least another 3 weeks, plus Eric (Kelcie's hubbie) is the day before and Randy's was the 28th of June. Her Birthday is Tuesday the 15th, (same day as Nicole Evans). So she bought a cake and a little cake for Alex, which was fun. We ate dinner and cake and ice cream. It was way fun. Alexys had a blast. We gave her some Mac & cheese becuse we had fajitas and they are not the best baby food. I stripped her down to a diaper and away she went with everything. We left SLC sunday night because I had class bright and early Monday morn. It has been a fun class. We took on test so far, but there is one on tuesday. I aced the 1st one and we will see with the 2nd one. I was talking to my dad one night and told him I had to go because I had homework, he laughed at me. Well, clas is over till Monday again but I still have studying to do this weekend. Oh Yeah, Randy was accepted for college and signed up for two criminal justice classes as well.

I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!!!!!!

This has been an awesome week. First, last weekend we went down to SLC to see my fam. We were there over the 4th. We went and saw fireworks on the 3rd and did our own on the 4th. It was fun, Alex liked the bright colors. She had a blast. On Saturday I decided I was done with my hair. It is so thick and it was so long that I needed a little haircut. I went to Fantastic Sam's by my parents house and decided to donate it to Locks-Of-Love so I CUT it, literally. It is not as hot or as heavy. I was nervous because I haven't had my hair this short since sophomore year of high school, but I like it and people have told me it makes look younger, which could be good or bad I guess.? The only one who doesn't like it, is Randy. He likes long hair better. Oh well,I guess it will grow.

Happy Birthday

Saturday, June 28th was Randy's birthday, unfortunately he had to work his graveyard shift. He turned 28. We didn't do much but I made him a cake. Picture will come soon, no camera with me today. My CPR class is 2morrow, July 1st, and my CNA class starts the 7th. I am so nervous. I finally feel like I am doing it. I will let you all know how everything is going after they start. I will put pics up in the next day or 2. Wish me luck!

Not such a windy day

-k- so on Tuesday all of went to the park to play. We actually went to 3 different parks. The first one we went to, Bryton calls the dinosaur park, why I don't know. Maybe, cause there is the one dinosaur thing there. We played and let the girls swing. Second, we went to Bear River State Park, which is where the elk and Bison are. We drove around the loop and watched the elk for a while then left. I took pictures of him, but he would not look up. All I could see was his butt. Then he started itching what I thought was his leg, then I realized it was not his leg, it was something else very close to his back legs. Then we went to the park that is right down the street from our house. It's a cute park and perfect for flying kites, if there is wind. I probably won't have to ever say this again but there was no wind the other day. Yes, Windy Wyoming, no wind to fly kites!!! We got the kite up for about 20 seconds and then it came crashing down. It was upong enough to take a picture then down it came! Bryton had fun because she just loves the park. Alexys, well she had fun too.

Oh yeah one more thing I forgot to mention. Everyone needs to get together again. We haven't/ I haven't done anything with any of you since Christmas. We need to get together again. I will be down there next weekend, 4th of July weekend. If you guys aren't busy or going out of town let me know. We can do something. Even if it is just the park with all the kids or something for a couple of hours or an hour. I want to see people. I never seen most of you kids in person, just pics. Last but not least, School starts on the 3rd, my CPR class is on the 3rd , then my CNA class starts the 7th. AHHHHHHH!!! I am so excited but so scared. Wish me luck I guess!?!?!?!???

details/crazy week

-k- so I didn't go into a lot of detail about anything on my last post because it was, well a crazy week. We're all Moms and understand, I'm sure. Well, Randy is back at work now and working graveyards. Now I am figuring this week out all by myself. I'm gonna be a big girl!!! LOL! Last week when we fishing Bryton was doing really good and sticking around to fish. Then one of her friends came and all h!?l broke loose. She decided to jump into the pond, after she actually asked first. Then they were running around. I was trying to keep her in eyes view, but Alex was not wanting to stay in her stroller either. Well, things cooled down and we finished up with a pretty good day. Bry loves to fish and had been practicing casting her pole for a week or so. Unfortunately, it was so busy she only got to cast once when most the people had gone home because she doesn't exactly cast straight. She cast her last cast and we caught her second fish, the one we kept. Go figure!! Oh yeah, Alex's hair I cut it because it was so long. The front was hanging in her face. I finally cut off about 1/2 inch of her bangs so they were not in her face. She looks so much better now all though I probably didn't cut them the best, but they are cut. Randy finished his shelves he was building. He took off his hard top from his jeep and put it on one of the shelves. Then he put a whole bunch of other stuff, like more camping crap and Bryton's booster seat. She has one but won't be able to sit in it until she is 6, I swear. She is so little. She is tall, but only weighs like 30 lbs.Oh yeah, while we were fishing the coolest rainbow came out. It was across the sky, but it wasn't raining nor was there a dark cloud in the sky. There wasn't hardly any clouds in the sky. It was so pretty. It started out really light then it kept getting darker and darker. It was awesome. P.S. The picture with the two girls, Bry is the one with the hat on. If you didn't know. The picture with the fish, that was her first fish for the day.

Crazy Week

So this week has been a crazy week while Randy has been off work. First, the water pump in my car started leaking so we had to buy a new one. Then, he has been building a shelf, or 2 shelfs, so we have more storage out in the garage. We had to buy a little bit of wood for that project. The first one he built was a shelf nailed to the wall fo camping gear and other misc. things. The second one he built was to put the hard top of his jeep on for the summer. He found wood that has been here since we bought the house and figured all we would do is get rid of it, so he figured "hey, why not build shelving in the garage!!" Like I said we bought a little wood but most of it was already here. Then yesterday was kids free fishing day. We took Bryton & Alexys to that. It was fun. The parents could not fish, real in the fish. The kids had to do it. Bryton caught two. The first one we threw back because it was pretty small, but the second one she wanted to keep. The nice thing is they guted it and everything for us. All we had to do was bring it home. She also won a prize, every child that registered did. She won a life jacket, it was a nice one, probably $15 or $20. Then last night we went to the rodeo. Bryton did the chicken chase. She loves it. By the time we got home last night at like 10 p.m. we were all pooped. Today, I was sunburned on my lower arms from yesterday. I had a headache when I woke up and was so tired. I wasn't going to go to church, but then Randy reminded me Bryton had to give the scripture in primary today. In 1/2 of an hour I got me and Bryton ready and went to church. My sacrament meeting is last so primary is first. I couldn't find my make-up, and Bryton's hair had braids so I just took out the braids and put them in pig-tails. We got to church right as primary was starting. I left Alex with Randy at home. I wasn't going to go to the whole thing, but Bryton wanted to stay for class. I called Randy to see if it was ok if I stayed so he could watch Alex while we were gone. We left just before the closing prayer in sacrament meeting. Phew, now can I rest?? Wait I have 2 kids, what is rest? LOL Oh yeah, I cut Alexys's hair/bangs as well this week. Now, I am done!? Yeah right!!!! LOL!!

Cool Things

So as I was looking through all the other blogs, it has come to my attn. that I need a lot of help. Mine is so simple and I want to do cool things on it, but I don't know how. Help Me!! Also everyone is talking about twilight, what is it? I know I dumb.

works week is over

Things here where I live are hot and windy. Randy's work week ends tomorrow. It would have ended today, but he is working 1 day overtime. That's ok with me, the money for overtime is nice. It has been so hot here. The girls have been wearing shorts

Just Playin Pool

On Monday, June 9th we needed a break and I really didn't want to cook, my friend, Holly invited us to her parents house to have dinner while she was house sitting. It worked out perfectly. We had pizza with them. Her son, Malachi, who is 2 and Bryton, who is 4 played in the tub and after we played pool. (Alex wanted to play too.) It was fun to go and do something other than sit in the house and watch T.V. (By the way Holly is single but wanting to date a very nice LDS man)
