First Time Swimming

We took Kate to the Sports Mall on Wednesday and splashed around for a little while. She didn't seem to be to sure about it, but at least she didn't cry. Here are some pics!

A Second Blog

As I was creating the new blog and posting all of my pictures to it I realized that I must have been really high on pain killers when I did Kate's newborn pictures.  Hardly any of them turned out.  Well I guess its okay because I have made her into my little daily subject for photo taking. I can't help it.  We had a little "shoot" today.

This is Sadie and Kate. If you can believe it there are only 4 months between these cousins.

4 months old!

Kate has discovered her feet and toes and she loves them. She is taking every chance she gets to grab, study, and suck on them. I envy her flexibility. She is still just a little sweetheart. She is too easy on us. I love my days off that are spent just me and her.

Football season is here again. Brian is back in the stripes. So far this year he has been assigned to some pretty choice games. This is him calling a field goal good at the Alta vs. Timpview game which was on KJZZ. That was pretty cool.
Kate has gone to one game, but only made it until half-time before she had had enough. She'll probably be better with the games as she gets older and I can bribe her with popcorn from the snack stands.

I have just set up my phone to post to my blog! Looking forward to Summer's shower tomorrow!!

Bear Lake '09

We went to Bear Lake and had a great time. This is the third trip we have taken with Kate so far and she is a good little traveller. We got some great pics on the beach.

Kate's blessing went very well. After it was over she raised her arms up to the sky because she was stretching but it looked really cute. Everyone laughed.

Summer is almost due. We took a picture of Kate talking to Sadie in her belly.

Come to Kate's Blessing

Kate's baby blessing is going to be on August 2nd at our ward house. Call us for our church address if you want to come. Our sacrament meeting starts at 12:50.

Coo...

Kate is starting to chat it up. We can't stand how much she changes and grows all the time. She is always entertaining. We have so much fun with her. Of course we aren't tickled to death when she needs us to get up in the middle of the night, but it really isn't a chore. We feel like we couldn't be more blessed.

Birth Announcement

Baby Kate!

Here she is!! We couldn't be happier. Her name is Kate. She was born May 11th at 8:35 PM and she weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 21 inches long. We are having a blast figuring out how to be parents. She's made it pretty easy on us.

Spring

We're still waiting. The due date is Wednesday and I'm hoping she isn't too late. Brian entered the Rose Park open which was on Saturday and finished 9th in his division which is pretty good. Grant is graduating this month. I took some pictures for him for his senior pictures. We'll let you all know when our new member of the family arrives.

Preparations

We aren't at all ready for our baby girl but we are slowly getting there. My mom gave us an awesome quilt for her crib. She made it all including the lamb on the front which she drew up from a picture online.

We had these pictures taken in my parent's front yard because I don't have that many of me pregnant, but after looking at them I've decided that's not so bad. The diet plans will begin sometime in the second half of May. ;) It's totally worth it though.

7 months.

As of yesterday we are 2 months away from the due date. We bought a crib and dresser/changing table and we have registered at Babies 'R Us. My mom and I picked out some material yesterday for the quilt and dust ruffle. It's going to be light pink, chocolate brown, and a darker pink with fuzzy lambs embroidered onto the quilt. I'm pretty excited.

Brian got to ref some state playoff games this year and right now he is in Las Vegas with JJ Bowman and Matt Basham for the MWC Basketball Tournament.

Updates

We're almost six months along now. Everything is going very well. We are taking a little Valentines get away to St. George this weekend. Brian is so busy with reffing that it will be nice to have him to myself for a little bit.
