I made this card for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge at Split Coast Stampers...

This week we have the option of sending our cards to Eula...and if you can imagine this...

she is celebrating birthday number 108

That is something to definitely celebrate, and she deserves a big party and lots of cards...

You can probably gather from my card that Eula loves parrots and does have a parrot...

My dear husband found the parrot image for me, and I put a stitching background on my card...It's been a while since I have done that, and this "grandma, may not be doing that again in the near future...LOL. I now know why my cross-stitch books, embroidery, crewel, smocking, etc. are just taking up space in my craft room. Stitching takes a long time to do! and it is hard on my Grandma eyes. but I truly hope that Eula likes her card...

We were to use the photo of the bracelet for our inspiration and add metal to our card.

My card, has a lace' center...(made using a template and exacto knife) peel off corners

and stickers to make a frame, a plaid bow, and a metal stick on in the center of the card which

reads "faith"

They are quick and easy to make...this is actually my third one...but

I forgot to take a photograph of the other two before I gave them away...

Butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart

the edging on the bottom of the bookmark is made with EK Success punch

the Designer paper is from Stampin Up

Teapot we were to use for our inspiration to make a card....

This card is for another Teapot Tuesday challenge...this card will be mailed to a 15 year old girl named Alea...who had been hospitalized for a long time...Hopefully it will help to cheer her...

I had hoped to get this card done earlier so I could photograph it in the DAYLIGHT...

but it was such a busy week, it's the first chance I had to do this card...

I knew I did NOT want to miss making a card for this week...I just love the inspiration piece...

Pink is my favorite color...the rose is my favorite flower...even though I'm mostly in "jeans"

these days...smile...I still like to see beautiful dresses...and lace...flowers...ribbon...this inspiration photo had it all!

My card was made with a prima flower

and stamped leaves with an unknown stamp

and, Of course, lace, and ribbons...

But I was gone from my house most of the day...so this is the first chance I had to make a card

We were to make a card for Dante, an 8 year old boy who is recovering from bone marrow transplant surgery.

My fishing card is more suited for someone older so I will save this one to send to someone later...but it did fit today's theme. I will sent Dante another card that is more suited to an 8 year old.

So today I'm going to get brave and see if I can enter one of cards there...

My card is an Iris folding pattern, (I got the pattern from a book I purchased)

I stamped the side of my card with a stamp for rubber stamp tapestry

I used stazon Timber Brown Ink for the vines

and Color Box pink ink for the flowers...

I outlined my candle with a gold leafing pen, and used pink vellum for the iris folding.

WT283 Ways to use it challenge

The ways to use it challenge at split coast stampers was to use a button on your project, card...etc. I like to use buttons all the time. I might upset some people because I don't usually tie thread in the button holes...probably too lazy...

Card for craft night

My crafting buddy, Cherie, and I try to get together at least once a week to craft. Last week she gave me a challenge, she handed me a template and told me to make a card with it. I'm not sure where she found the template, but I found this free template site that does have some similar templates that you could use to make an interlocking card...

The card reminded me of my of my eye glass holders so I tried to use that for inspiration.

I wanted my card to have a velvet/brocade look.

I used Tim Holtz distrss Inks, I sponged two colors-- fired brick, and Antique linen...

I then used a gold leafing pen for around the outside edge of the card...

and used my Stampin' Up background stamp ---"Bella Toile" which I heat embossed with gold embossing powder, added an image, holding a mirror, and a bow...

Spirelli card

I like to make Spirelli cards...In case you haven't heard of spirelli before...it's like doing the string art that was so popular years ago.
This card has a spirelli wreath in the center of the card made with gold thread...
I like the punched border that was done on the bottom of the card when I was playing with two of my EK success punches. The problem then was that I could not find designer paper to match my blue and yellow card stock, and then I realized that my card matched the place mats on my dining room table (where I usually do my crafting...smile) So I just scanned my place mat in my scanner and made myself some designer paper...I thought it was a nice match to my card stock.
