Carter's first trip to Laurel

Carter and I made the journey to Laurel while Cory was on a hunting trip in Texas. Carter met lots of new friends along the way. We stopped in Jackson for a play date with Morgan Trusty...as you can tell, things got pretty crazy!

2 months

We took Carter to the doctor yesterday for his 2 month checkup and to get his shots.

He weighs 13lbs 9oz and is 22.5 inches...lets's hope his rate of growth slows down soon for the sake of my back!

Papaw and Aunt Deborah came to visit Wednesday night and Papaw volunteered to get up with Carter that night. Well, Carter just wanted to get in every minute he could with him, so he decided they should stay up and talk most of the night! Wasn't that thoughtful of him?! Meet the family

Carter got to meet his Uncle Nate, Aunt Sonya and cousin Brian last night. He wishes they lived closer! That's actually Jackson in the picture not Aunt Sonya!

Going to the Doctor

We took Carter to the doctor Monday and he has gained 1lb 3oz in 2 1/2 weeks...no picky eaters in this household! He also grew a half inch. Of course, they called us back right at feeding time, so everyone got to see a nice little fit!

Getting used to life as a State fan

We dressed Carter up in his Bulldog gear to watch the West Virgina game on TV Saturday. Halfway through the 1st quarter the Dogs were down 28 - 0 and Carter was not happy to say the least.

First Bath!

We had a few people coming by to see Carter and bring food today, so we decided to clean him up and make him presentable. Heather won't allow any pics of the "hog", but let's just say "hello ladies!" Ya'll will have to settle for him in his alligator towel. Later.

Carter's Big Day!

Here are some pics of Baby Carter at the hospital. He weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20 inches long. He also has a lot of hair! Heather and he are doing fine and we are at home getting used to changing diapers and late night feedings. We'll keep you posted!

Preparing for the Golden Child

With 2 (or less) weeks until Carter hatches, I need to get used to using this thing. Heather and Jackson are very interested in seeing if someone who doesn't even have an e-mail account can learn to do a family blog site. I say never count out a guy with an ag econ degree. Anyway, the main reason we are doing this is to keep friends and relatives up on the fam, so here are some random baby related pics. Enjoy!
