Nursery time!

Titus officially started nursery on Sunday, YEAH! He went the week before and since there was only one other kid they let Titus stay and he loved it. Then on Sunday he went right in and stayed the whole time. I am so excited that he isn't afraid at all. (knock on wood) Nursery is such a blessing to Ryan and I we have been struggling with him the past few months between juggling him with our callings so this is a much needed break. So far the nursery leaders are blind to his stinkerness because his cuteness still works for him. Hopefully he will keep them fooled for a long time.

Long Beach

We Celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day by going to Long Beach. We had a really good time. We went initially to go to the Aquarium but after went and walked down the street to eat and then we went and walked around the harbor. There was a nice little area you could walk up to a lighthouse and play on the grass. You could see the Queen Mary and other large ships there. The kids had a good time rolling down the hill.

He Kept Running

Across from the Aquarium they had a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant so we of course had to take pictures of Ryan and the kids sitting on the park bench.

Long Beach Aquarium

We had a good time at the Long Beach Aquarium. It is a really big place and it had a lot of places for the kids to touch things some of things were starfish, sea urchins, sharks and they had a lot of Stingrays from small to really big and more but that is just an idea. They had a lot of shows that went on throughout the day. They had a sea otter exhibit, sea lion, and seal exhibit. It was a really fun place.

Back to reality

So tomorrow we have to go back to normal life. Ryan and Amrika have been out of school since the 17th of December. I didn't know if Ryan and I would survive with each other for that long since I don't think we have ever spent that much time together but we did. I guess I really do love hm! I really am going to miss him and Amrika, but it will be nice to get back on schedule, if I can remember what that is. I only have two months until another 3 week break comes up so I guess I can survive. The perks of marrying a teacher!

Grandpa the Mummy

So as I wrote early my parents were here visiting this last week. We had a lot of fun with them. One night the kids were wrestling with grandpa then got the idea to wrap him up in toilet paper. Grandpa was a good sport. We miss them already:( Thanks for coming mom and dad.

Train museum

On Monday we went to a train museum that is about an hour away from our home. It was really big and spread out. We got there and thought that it was closed because there was no one there and we couldn't find anyone. Then Ryan and I found someone and it was really nice and interesting because he took us all around and we were the only ones there we felt like we were on a private tour. The tour guide said the weekends are really busy. It was a really fun and best of all it was FREE!

Polar Plunge

Our ward does an annual polar plunge in one of the members pools. This year they did it in someone that has a salt water pool. It was 45 degrees outside and the pool water was about 40 degrees. Ryan got there a little late so he had to jump by himself because everyone else already had. They told him that they all jumped from the farthest side and swam across, obviously joking but Ryan went to the farthest side jumped in and swam across the pool. All the men were very impressed. Ryan said it was cold but not as cold as he thought it would be.

So I wish I could show you a bunch of cool party pictures but that didn't quite happen. We got all the junk food for a party but half of our party fell asleep at 10:30. (Amrika, Davin, Titus, and Grandma) we do have a picture of grandma sleeping but decided not to post them all out of love. We did have a good time though!

One of the many wonders of the world

So here is what you all can do if you live out here. With all of your extra time that is. I love the one with Ryan and the kids, if you look closely at Amrika you can see her front teeth that are missing, it all fits just perfectly.

Ostrich Farm

On New Year's Eve day we went to explore the wonderful weird places around where we live that you have to experience once while you are here. We had a good time with the ostriches trying to get them all excited. Grandpa had a ostrich that was following everything that he would do he would raise his left arm and the ostrich would raise his left wing it was pretty funny.
