I finally finished Katelyn's talking video. Happy Birthday Girl. 

To the Snow!

Last year we didn't get to take the kids up to the mountains to go sledding, so I really wanted to make that happen this year. Well, little did I know that the day I chose would have SNOW on the roads to the mountain. It was a bit of a white knuckle experience driving to the mountain and back. We got a later start than we had hoped and I was a bit worried about getting a parking spot. Lincoln prayed that there would be parking for us... and there was! We had practically the whole parking lot to ourselves. I guess no one else was crazy enough to go in such cold weather (9 degrees) and travel on snowy freeways. We lasted just over an hour at the snow and headed home. 

Lincoln's 6th Birthday - Super Mario Smash

 For Lincoln's 6th Birthday, he had a Super Mario Smash Brother's Party. Hillam cousins were able to join in the fun of playing the switch as well as some outdoor water games and "real life" Smash Bro's using pool noodles to knock opponents of wood planks. 

Lincoln's 5th Birthday - Pirate Theme

 For Lincoln's 5th Birthday, his cousins came over for a pirate party - complete with  games and a treasure hunt!

Aunt Miriam and Uncle Josh Come to Visit

 May 3-7, 2021

Miriam and Josh came to visit us. We tried to pack in as much fun as we could. 

It was non-stop games, sports, fun and outings.

A neighborhood trail adventure that may or may not have included an adrenaline rush, scratches and thorns...

On Wednesday we went to Mt. Rainier 

We ate lunch in the parking lot and got to watch the workers try to clear the parking lot. 

On Thursday we went to a vertical park in Tacoma to play on the slides and stairs and then went on a walk through the gardens. The kids grabbed some water bottles from the car and had a blast playing catch with them. Right before heading back home they dropped them from up high and watched them explode. 

above: Lincoln wanted to be twins with Uncle Josh. He put on a striped shirt and blue jeans. He was pretty upset that he didn't have a black jacket to wear. I convinced him he could be opposite twins (grey jacket and black shoes opposite of Uncle Josh's black jacket and grey shoes). 

Uncle Josh snuck in a quick science lesson on cells right before they had to leave on Friday morning.
