Tia's Birthday Surprise

 So for my birthday, Scott planned a fun surprise. He got tickets to the murder mystery dinner theater on the Heber Creeper Train!  It was a ton of fun! We even almost figured out who did it!  We guess one sister, but spoiler...it was both.  We first went to Grannies in Heber for desert..Life is too short, eat desert first :)

 The actors and actresses did a little skit deal before getting on the train.  There were two passenger cars that they would walk between doing their show.  About 20 minutes into the ride we stopped for dinner...that is when the Hollywood Producer was killed!  The dinner was yummy!  Dutch oven pulled pork, beans, corn bread, salad and fyi the lemonaid was the best, just like the kid said.  I got water at first but after trying scott's lemonaid I had to go back for some of my own.  I think it made the kids day.  after dinner we got back on the train and had about 35 minutes to figure out the mystery.  The train went down by the lake and then turned around and headed back.  we stopped again at the dinner area and there they showed who did it!  Then back on the train and back to the station.  Scott was a wild child and decided to switch train cars about 10 minutes before getting back.  He got up and left without me.  He turned when he got to the door and looked at me, motioning me to come.  After a minute, I decided he wasn't coming back so I followed.  Kinda freaky walking across the part of the train that unhooks while it is moving. 

All in all it was a fun birthday surprise!  I love scott, he is so good to me!!!

Colorado fun

 warning, lots of pictures on this one.  while we were in Colorado for Jeff's graduation there was a firehouse openhouse type of thing.  so we went.  I was fun.  The kids got to sit in the back of a cop car, fire truck and have all kinds of fun!

 kasia in her fire hat, she didn't have this very long though.  When she got into the fire truck a burst of wind blew her hat into the passenger seat, but because of all the gear and stuff we couldn't get to it.  She wasn't too worried about it, so we left it there.

 the kids all got tattoo's.  Kasia's was a shooting star, with glitter and all.

 We even had time to go to the pool!  Gabe was trying to dry off.  he had quite the pose going on.

 Back home Kasia was trying to build a box to get into.  She did quite well at building it around herself!

 She was even able to see out for a few pictures!

 McKinsey's birthday was just a few days away so we put her birthday gift together while out there.  My mom and I filled the balloons with notes or money and put them inside a big box.  It was fun to see her have so much fun popping the balloons and finding her prize.  She didn't hesitate at all popping those balloons.

Happy Birthday McKinsey (even though it has long since past) We love you!!!

solar eclipse

 Scott and I went to Cedar City to see the Solar Eclipse the last weekend in May.  We didn't think there would be very many other people down there, but if you keep going, there were TONS!!  We found a great area that didn't have any mountains to obstruct our view and so did hundreds of other people.  But it was fun! This was the very beginning of the eclipse.  Our pictures aren't amazing, but they are still fun!

 This is where the moon is completely in front of the sun. At this point someone near us started to play the song "Ring of Fire", pretty funny!!

 Scott also had fun making a solar eclipse viewing box.  so we got to see it two ways, not just one.  fun!
