Aw man...

In the middle of summer last year I started using instagram to track all of our family happenings and though I love it, I thought I would double document our family history on the blog as well.  Here are a few of this last year's happenings...

July & August- Dave received an offer from Intel, the kids played in the pool EVERYDAY in AZ and we got to go to Disneyland! It was a great vacation!

September- Clark had his first day of preschool, we traveled back to Utah for Dave's last year of school.  Clark started soccer (and scored a goal a game, except for one...) and we were in the BYU homecoming parade.  It was a blast!

October & November- Clark had a music and movement class, we found out Cayson loves to paint, and we hiked Donut Falls.

January- We got to go to the San Diego big balloon parade, spend New Years in San Diego and go to the rose parade.  We also spent some time at the Rec Center and Clark and Dave went ice fishing.

Summer, Summer, Summertime...

We have been really enjoying our summertime.  For the 4th of July, we popped on over to San Diego and enjoyed the San Diego Safari Park, the beach, the weather, the Switchfoot Bro Am, Torrey Pines, lots of yummy places to eat, fireworks at various locations and the Museum of Making Music.  It was a great week of rest, relaxation and family time.

Some like it hot...

Summer in AZ is quite interesting.  This last week the temperature hit 120 degrees and it feels like fire on your skin!  We have tried not to go outside and when we do, we are armed with spray bottles or swimsuits! Though its difficult, it is still livable and we have gotten to do lots of fun stuff the past few weeks.  I've been trying to document in picture form so I can remember our summer!  

Each week we have been going to a different splash park or pool with some of my spouse intern friends...

16 months!

Cayson turned 16 months this last week!

He can say...  mama, dada,choo choo, beep beep, poop, broda(brother), ball, doh (dog), you, shoosh (shoes), dirsty (thirsty), more, hot,bye bye, bubbles, uh oh

He can... throw a ball, play with trains, find his nose, eyes & belly, give kisses, blow kisses, wave, dance, sing, pretend to read books, run

He loves...anything that moves, to brush his hair,  balls, cars, trains, to dance, to play with his brother, to pat his tummy, desserts, almost any food, water, and bubbles.

We think Cayson might be a train conductor when he grows up or a professional eater.  We love our little man, and can't wait to see what he'll do next!  He doesn't stop moving and getting into things, but he is darn cute when we find him and all he can say is "uh oh".

Man, I did it again...

I need to catch up again! Oh well, here is the reader's digest version...  Right after my last post during finals, David received a great internship offer from Intel in Chandler, AZ.  The next few days we decided to get packing a little early and head to Vacaville to see family.  In Vacaville, we played with cousins, traveled to San Francisco with my parents and enjoyed an awesome cruise under the golden gate bridge with dinner and music.  We also went back to SF for our 6th Anniversary and did a scavenger hunt in the city, as well as eating Crab on Pier 39.  It was such a nice vacay, we did not want it to end.  On Mother's day, we were at the Headrick's house and unfortunately, Clark broke his leg on the trampoline.  Because of this, our trip was a little longer, due to doctor and orthopedic visits, leading to a full leg cast to be kept on for a whole entire month.  It was quite a mother's day present!  We then headed to AZ, where its literally hotter than anywhere I've ever been before.  Right now its 8:45 and its 104 degrees outside, its completely unreal!  While here, we  have been to the Grand Canyon, gone to San Diego for my sis in law's graduation, enjoyed many wonderful restaurants, been to the botanical garden, enjoyed downtown Phoenix & Tempe,been to an IMAX movie, and finally today (Clark got his cast off a few days ago) been to the pool and splash pad! We have a great ward, and we go to park days each week, as well as preschool storytime.  Sheesh, there it all is in a nutshell!  A whirlwind of things in a month and a half! Of course there were pictures, so here they are...

 My new home away from home, I was name the Gifts of The Heart Exchange committee head for 2013-2014.  I've already been here four times and its the first week! EEEK!

Easter

For Easter we had some fun Easter egg hunts through preschool, the city, and the MBA spouse association.  We also had our own spiritual egg hunt at home because Clark is getting old enough to understand what the true meaning of Easter is.  It was a beautiful day and I'm so grateful to know that my Savior lives!
