i'm on a blogging spree apparently

sundays are good to avoid homework and blog.

+i am on a literal Christmas high. actually i don't if that is even possible, so i'm on a hypothetical literal christmas high. when you grow up with older siblings (who are also the most favorite and yet most annoying people in your life) & who are 7 and 10 years older than you, spending christmas with the entire family is an endangered event. but this year my mother and father set it up so that all 9 1/2 richardson's/koski's will be together this year for one coveted holiday. and 1 1/2 of those richardson's/koski's are my niece(s) (and nephew?)

i'm pretty sure music has special powers. actually, no. i'm positive it does. think about it.
name anything. the sun? yeah people in seattle hate it. talking? your teacher hates it. water? sandy cheeks hates it.
music though....
sure some people dislike certain genres. i HATE country. sorry...
no i'm not actually. i don't see the appeal to a banjo, guitar and someone singing about their truck and drinking beer. but that doesn't mean people don't like it.
really, everyone has music that they like, or a song that that has impacted them in some way.
why is that though? why is it that a few words set to music can make you feel any number of emotions?
we all have that song. the song that makes us happy no matter what. Or the song that can bring you to tears within a few bars. music is magical. it is a universal way to express emotions.
listening to Sam Smith? probably just broke up with bf/gf
MGMT? smokin weed, or they wish they were
Nicki Minaj? probably thinkin theyre a boss a$$ bish
music is full signs that tell us exactly how someone is feeling.
music is alive. it can make you feel exactly how it wants you to. it is literally beautiful.
maybe you can a understand a little better why music is so meaningful to me.
anyway.
so i don't know what it is with fall, but music just get's better. is it just me? because i literally could spend hours listening to it. sooo since that is pretty much what my days have consisted of for like the past two months, i figure i'll share because everyone likes my music (except for the sad number of you that are country fans;sorry can't help ya). i'm pretty open minded when it comes to music. press shuffle on my music and you'll probably get whiplash or something. one second i could be jammin to imagine dragons and the next i'll be spittin rhymes with Drake. really... i could find a song i like in pretty much any genre (omitting country so you cowboys should sit this one out), so here are my favorites right now.

summer luvs

i can't believe we're already over halfway through summer vacation. i feel like just last week i was pushing through piles of procrastinated finals studying and wishing for the end of the year to hurry up. but i guess that makes sense since (cue your mother's voice) time flies when you're having fun.

here's what's gone down:

+ cruise. ok, probably one of the funnest weeks of my summer (and maybe funnest isn't a word but the cruise was so good that webster is making it a word just for me. lol jk.)

cruises have the best food. i gained 8 lbs in four days. I regret nothing. 

+ Especially For Youth. cool people, cool place, cool spirit. 

+ Girl's Camp was pretty chill. i mean sleeping outside, bug bites and body odor... it's delicious. 

oh, and can't forget the fact that there was a spider on my face and i crapped my pants. gotta love girls camp.

All I want for Christmas is... not you, this stuff.

It's a big deal this year.

1) These glasses for that hipster life I don't live. 

2 & 3) To meet Olan Rogers and be best friends with him as well as that sweatshirt.

4) For someone to make me these cupcakes

5) I want this. So. Bad.

7) This because I'm just a couple weeks away from being a licensed driver. #procrastination

Cliche Christmas Post

Just kidding, I don't have time for that! I don't have time for anything anymore. Everything is study, study study.
Whoever said Junior year was the hardest was dead serious.
I feel like I'm living a balancing act where one side is an A+ student and the other is the momma's boy living in his parents basement.
Let's just say the basement is starting to look pleasing... there's a fireplace and Christmas movies down there.
But seriously,
life is pretty dang good.
I have temple trip this weekend that I am super mcstoked for. I am in dire need of an hour in Lord's house.
I also got my patriarchal blessing scheduled! I cannot wait!
Along with the other "cannot wait's" is the arrival of my dear little niece.
LESS THAN A MONTH.
Let's just admit it, I will be the coolest aunt known to man.
Aside from perhaps Jennifer Lawrence (woman crush errday).
I don't even know if she's an aunt, but I feel like she'd be pretty dang good at it.
