Well we made it to Denver without any truck/weather problems! The car made it first with me and my mom and we got our apt keys and took a good look at the apt before the boys pulled in. I will say that I wasn't in the best of moods when we arrived, and I noticed a lot of nick-picky things "wrong" with the apt. It had new paint and flooring, but it looks like they painted before they fixed the walls/floors and there was dirt, paint chips, and dead bugs all over the floor. I think a normal person would have been like "oh well" but I nearly had a breakdown. Again, I think it was more because I had driven since 6 o'clock over two states.
Jeff, me and my parents loaded ALL our stuff into the apt on Friday afternoon. It's pretty crazy to think back on it, especially since we had a bed, desk, big couch, TV, and hope chest to bring in on top of all the many, many boxes.
We slept well that night as you can imagine. And what joy did we wake up to the next morning...SNOW! Yep, not a blizzard but our balcony had a thin layer of cold snow, and I mean COLD. I didn't think the leaves had fallen quite yet and here we are turning up the heat in the middle of Oct.
Well the next couple days we managed to find a table & chairs, two bookshelves, five lamps, firewood, and a TV stand on craigslist. Thankfully my parents helped us out with that, they are the ones that found the great deals, and had the big car to haul everything in and their wisdom as to the actual worth of some of the items we looked at. Brian (brother), Sam and Simon helped us a lot on Sat unpacking almost all our clothes and also putting our kitchen table together. I feel so blessed to have such a great family, always willing to help you out. I really don't think we could have done it without them!
ANYWAY...I LOVE the apt now. We wrote down all the things that needed to be fixed and guess what, the maintenance guys came the following Monday to fix everything! We even ended up getting a new W/D unit because the old one was off balance! Needless to say I didn't need to have gotten so worked up because the apt managers really want us to be happy, and they even sent the cleaning crew back to finish up the "not so clean" windows and walls.
We went to our ward on Sunday and felt VERY welcomed. Actually, we felt so welcome that I found it a little bit overbearing on top of all the other changes that had happened over the last 48hrs, but in the end Relief Society made me feel right at home.
We are quite happy with our place and have found we enjoy all the room, especially the TWO walk in closets and TWO bathrooms, no more
waiting for the shower! Anyone have any advice to how to decorate a fireplace without a mantle?
Here's our balcony just two days before Halloween. It was so much fun and I think we got 17" before it finally stopped. Luckily Denver doesn't like to hold onto the snow like Utah does and it has nearly all vanished now.
Here's us enjoying our favorite Halloween tradition, can anyone tell what Jeff's pumpkin is suppose to be? We went to a Halloween party at some new acquaintances' house on Friday and got to meet a lot of the young couples in our ward there. It was a lot of fun and they decorated their house really spooky including a fog machine! We went as Snape and Hermione from Harry Potter and I didn't take any pics :( but maybe I can get one from one of the girls there...I'll keep you updated on that one. 
We did buy candy for trick or treaters but none came, so we had to be our own trick-or-treaters I guess.

We drove out to Denver last weekend and had a great time! We stayed with a friend of my brothers that we had met once or twice and they were awesome. They let us stay on their hide-a-bed and play with their cute little boy, Nathan. On Friday morning we met with our realtor and she showed us some houses available in some suburbs around Denver. That was a new and exciting experience for us (and really fun too!). Out of the six houses she showed us there we two that we REALLY liked, and would consider buying IF they will still be available in 
October (not likely).

My oldest brother Kevin owned the other shot gun and the hand gun, and he taught me how to shoot.It was a good little reunion for us and I look forward to increasing y shooting percentage next time we're all together! The boys shot WAY better than I did but I still had a really good time. I did manage to hit a lot of trees (and I course I MEANT to).

you start the car and sometimes whacks you in the face if your head isn't "all the way in") didn't go all the way back and got stuck halfway on its track in the door. We needed to get it fixed ASAP b/c we were required to get a safety inspection for our utah registration. So I took it to an auto shop and they said that I needed to replace the whole thing (motor and track) and suggested that I go to the Ford Dealership to see if it was still under warranty and to get the part #. I went to Ford and they told me it wasn't under warranty AND that the part cost $650 new!!!! I only paid $1000 for my car and that was in 2005. So buying it new wasn't an option.
So what do I do? I call my reliable dad who has fixed countless things on the many escorts that our family has owned. His advice? Get it from a junk yard, and better yet call my little brother Sean b/c he probably knows all the junk yards in Provo! "Duh!" I thought, "why didn't I call him in the first place!" So I called him and low and behold he knows that perfect junk yard to get the part we need and shows up with tools to go and get it just a couple hours later. Like my dad, Sean just KNOWS how to take things apart and put them back together. We went to the junk yard he yanked the track and motor out of a beat up Escort, we came home and he ripped out the old
one and put the new one in, all in less than an hour! What was the total cost of our repair? $10!!!! I guess if you include "labor" it was $18 b/c it was so cheap that we took Sean out to dinner at Red Robin afterwards. It was the least we could do since he saved us probably $700.
