We had a great Christmas! Kim and Drew were with us in Tenaha, so ofcourse it was better than when they are gone! While they were here we had a weenie roast at the Barr's residence. It was lots of fun and yummy hot dogs and smores! My camera was MIA on this night so I don't have any pics to share.
The new year for us had a not so great start. Brandon's family lost their dog Kujo. Kujo had been a Barr family member for about 14 years. New Year's day B found Kujo. He had passed away. This was a very hard time. Brandon and I have been together for about 4 years now and in that time I have dealt with some really tough stuff. He has stood by my side and been a solid rock for me. I have very supportive and loving family and friends. However, I've never experienced the kind of bond that the two of us have. But when he was dealing with the loss of Kujo, I didn't know what to do. I know from experience that the loss of a pet is very painful. I hope that I did everything I could to ease his pain. He still talks about Kujo often and I know he always will!
My 24th birthday was last Wednesday. The day wasn't so great. I had class and was in Nacogdoches by myself all day. But Brandon took off early that afternoon and came to take me on a birthday date. He brought a sweet cake. (Although there was a little trouble with the transportation.) He had planned to pick me and Bella up to spend an afternoon at the park, which is something we love to do but don't do often. However, the weather didn't cooperate with this plan. So, we ate at Clear Springs, which was delicious! Then we went to SFA's basketball game. They won by one point in overtime! We had fun!
My friends took me out for a fun night on the town Saturday for my birthday. We went to eat at Superior which is one of my most favorite places! I have really great friends who always make me feel special. Thanks to all of them for a fun night!
Superbowl XLIV: I was disappointed that Peyton Manning lost. I really do like him a lot. But more than that I was sick that the Saints won. I just really don't like the Saints!
