2008 Olympics

Holy Cow, last nights men 4 x 100 freestyle relay swim was incredible. I actually jumped off the couch and was screaming right along with boys on TV. It was so awesome. It was even better that France said they would squash the US....ugh ugh. The only thing that would have been better is if in the 400m freestyle Katie Hoff would have won. So ironic that the exact opposite happened in 4 x 100 and the 400m, US and France duking it out. It has been so amazing to see the talent of these Olympians. Wow the dedication...I need a little. I thought to go to the city pool in my bathing suit was bad but heck at least I am not broadcast on the TV all over the world in one. Of course if I looked like one of them I probably wouldn't care. And like when I go to the pool I always figure there are bound to be people who look better than me and people that look worse.

Breaking Dawn

Yes, I am one of the dorks that stood in line at midnight to get my copy of Breaking Dawn. I loved this book. I LOVE that Bella ends up with Edward. I thought she would but you never know. Daniel has actually read the saga with me and Sunday night we read the book together. We were in different places to we had to lay on our stomachs and hold the pages in between where I was and he was up so we could both read. It has been so fun to be part of the craze. I have gotten to know friends and family members better just because of some "dumb vampire book". It has been fun to talk about with everyone, how often do you read a book that someone ( a lot of someones) has read and you can talk about it. It has been a fun experience. I can't wait for December 12........I will be waiting in line for that too.
