11-21-11: Big News

 Luke has some SUPER exciting news to share!!

He's going to be a BIG BROTHER!! 
We're having another little boy April 29th next year.  Yay!  


Now does it make sense how slacking I've been on the blog?  The 1st trimester was icky, crappy, crummy, all words you can think of that equal = not fun!  But we're on the 2nd trimester now and starting to feel a little better.  And I don't want to jinx myself, but so far it's been slightly better than my 1st pregnancy.


I don't anticipate doing the weekly updates like I did with Luke.  Honestly, I don't have the energy or time.  I'm only working 3 days a week, and I don't spend much computer time on my off days.  I have an iphone, which limits what I can blog about. Besides, what is there to write about?  I'm getting round in the middle, the baby is starting to kick and Lukey is excited to have a little brudder!


Josh is excited too :)  He has been very patient with me as I am Mrs. Grouchy Onery pants. Being sick just makes me grumpy.


If you were wondering if I wanted a girl or boy,
I was hoping for a boy.

11-13-11: HB to me

11-17-11: Sleeping In

This little man does not want to wake up.

Nor does he want to sleep in his bed at night.

I don't mind him sleeping in, 

but the sleeping in Mommy & Daddy's bed needs to stop.

And fast.

11-13-11: Happy Birthday Mommy

It's my Birthday.
Happy Birthday Jen!

The morning started out with presents, and waffles and a nice nap.
Then off to church for....THE PRIMARY PROGRAM.
It went great! And it's over for another year!!! Yay!!!!

Then after Church, Josh made me a wonderful dinner and invited my Mom & Dad over (Nana & Papa).
Then everyone came over for PIE - YUM!!!!  Mom's homemade chocolate cream pie.
My favorite!!
Thanks for making me feel so special.
On a day when I was feeling very old.
Thirty-five.
Ouch.
I AM getting old.

11-09-11: Cousins

Shay came over tonight and Luke and her PLAYED NICELY TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a short time together, but I was soooooooo happy!!!!!

11-09-11: #2!!

He did it! He went poopoo in the potty!!!!!! Yay Lukey!!!
Daddy took him to the store to pick out a prize and this is what Luke picked out.
A fireman hat.

We know this doesn't mean the end to the accidents (we wish!) but we are so proud that he tried and did it.  And it was one less diaper to change/underpants to...well most like throw away.

SO proud of my big boy!!!!

11-07-11: The story

Today Luke brought in all his plush toys and made me sit on the floor while he sat on his stool with his stuffed animals and told me stories.

What's a story without a video?
I have recently learned that although it does not make sense, I've got to film videos on my Iphone on the side.
It doesn't make sense...but I'll try better next time. :)

He asked me to put my phone down.
And did you notice the "monkey's jumping on the bed part of the story?"
My favorite part of it was when he was done he said, "AMEN"

My little boy is awesome.
Hands down, AWESOME.

11-07-11: Luke's gift

Luke's Mommy's birthday is coming up.

So he wrapped up a gift for her in his special

most favorite blanket

then gave it to her.

Well, he didn't quite give it to her...

He opened it back up and showed her the present.

It was this month's Church Ensign that had come in the mail a few days earlier.

It was sweet and Mommy loved it.

Thanks buddy!!!

11-05-11: It's here!! It's finally here!!

11-04-11: Cough Cough Croupy

Lukey was under the weather.

We took him to the Dr. (he was very brave!)
and found out he had the croup.
(Super sad frowny face!)

Nana and Kamashay brought him over some stickers.
He enjoyed them very much putting them on top of each other on his leg.

Poor sick Lukey.
Thankfully he didn't get worse.
And a few days later he was all better!
I've heard of many kids who get it and can get really really sick!
We are so blessed that it didn't get worse and our Lukey got all better so quickly.

10-30-11: Carving pumpkins

We carved pumpkins over at Nana & Papa's.

Lukey had fun...for a second.

Papa took a nap.

Jen fell off the stool and hurt her bum.

Josh was just happy to be there.

Overall, it was a great time by all :)

These were our pumpkins we got from Black Island Farms.  We saved the seeds, baked them up...they were good!!

10-31-11: Happy Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Here's what we did on this haunted holiday!

We made Grandma L.'s puffed rice balls
(Miss you Grandma!)

We went to "School" aka the library.
I was the dumb Mommy who didn't think to dress her son up!

We went on a parade at the library.

Then finally, he wanted to be spiderman.
The first time....and he was a very serious Spiderman

He went trick-or-treating at Mommy's work.

When we got home he fell asleep (only an hour BEFORE trick-or-treating time!)
Mommy felt bad to wake him up, but didn't want him to miss out on the fun!

Then he went trick or treating with Papa.

As Spiderman.

Daddy came home, and helped me convince Spiderman

into Mickey Mouse.

Afterall, Goofy's best friend is Mickey Mouse!!

And Goofy waited all month to dress up!!!

10-29-11: Fall photo shoot

It's that time of the year.
When the leaves have fallen at our neighbors house.
And we take photos!

We got really lucky, because our neighbors blew them all away....into the road. Which made me really mad.
But that's another story.
