Merry Christmas

This year we got to spend Christmas at home. It was great because my Dad got to stay with us and spend Christmas morning with us.

Connor got Mack, FINALLY!!!

This is a gift we got from Craig and Karalene. Very fitting don't you think!

This was Julia's present from Santa a fur Real Teacup Pup. She is completely happy!

Julia also got the Diamond Princess Barbie's. She is a very lucky girl.

And Connor was doubly blessed because he also got a motorized Lightening McQueen. This Christmas was very special to me because we got to spend it with my family who we usually don't see during this time of year because we are up in Montana and while we miss all of Steve's family terribly after all the snow we have had I am so glad we stayed home during the bad weather.

Happy Anniversary...Here's to 10 more years with the love of my life!

On Saturday Steve and I went on a double date with his wonderful brother and sister-in-law. We went to Gardner Villiage (which I had never been before). It was to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and it was so much fun. The shopping was great and the atmosphere was very festive.

This is the cute little elf display outside Archibalds Restaraunt. The display and the store inside where the best feature about the restaraunt. The food and service was not as good as it should have been but the evening was not spoiled. We ended up doing all of our last minute christmas shopping and then ended the evening playing trivia Scene It which Steve and I love.

These are the beautiful roses that my darling husband sent me at work on the acutal day of our anniversary. He is the bestest. I love you with all my heart even though I am a pain in your butt sometimes. I am so happy Heavenly Father gave you to me. I will never ever love anyone else for the rest of my life. I can't wait until we get to celebrate our next 10 years.

Snow Day...

I don't like the snow, I don't like being cold and of course my children are the exact opposite. They love cold fingers, toes and snot filled noses! Ok ok I guess they probably don't love them but they love playing in the white stuff.

Blog Stalker...that's me!

I am officially a blog stalker. I have found blogs that I will read and actually want to comment on but feel like a stalker because they have no idea who I am. It isn't my fault though. I read the South Ogden City's blog and make comments every now and then (OK I have only made two) but today I got e-mailed another blog to read from a comment I made and now have two more blogs that I have added to my following. I know blogger's that you don't know me but really I am not a bad stalker just very an interested stalker. I did find them very interesting reading. I love blogs. Sam this is actually all your fault, you got me started now I can't stop.

Congrats Aunt Windy!!

Tonight my darling sister graduated (Got Pinned) from the DATC Nursing Program. She still has more classes ahead of her but this is the biggest step. We are all so very proud of her and all that she has accomplished.

A group of girls (Windy included) sang a Christmas song that they had arranged from different things about their school life. It was really cute and Windy of course sounded beautiful.

One of the cutest parts was the showing of a class presentation with some shots of all the different students and the things they did through out the year and every time a picture of Windy came up all the kids would yell and clap, Aunt Windy Or Mommy! It was so cute but probably really annoying for everyone else. But oh well, they are so proud of her too.

Holy Cow...

Folks I am so very happy today. Today was weigh in day and I am now officially in the 220's. OK so it is just barely into the 220's but remember when I was just barely into the 230's. HOLY COW!!! I am so happy. I haven't had a chance to work out this past week because I have been sick but I am starting tomorrow and feel energized and renewed! I know probably not something you all needed to know but you have all been so encouraging and supportive I want to share with all of you my excitement. Love you all and have a great week!

Crazy Truckers

So on Saturday we went outside and found our road completely closed. In the afternoon after a quick trip to purchase snow boots for the kids we found out why. A trucker who normally parks his fully loaded Semi on a shoulder by his house had a mishap. The place where he parked has a large shoulder however it is right next to a gully that is really deep. I guess his full load caused the road beneath the semi to give way and either a pipe burst or it just fell away but his semi (trailer and truck) ended up in the bottom of the gully. It took them about 7 hours to empty the semi trailer and another 3 or so to actually lift the trailer and truck out of the gully. It was all really cool and painfully obvious that he shouldn't have ever parked there.

Let it snow...

We bought the kids snow boots today and it is a good thing we did. Julia did the shoveling, and Connor swept the snow. My kids are so useful.

Congrats MENG Graduate - Steve-Daddy/Husband/Brother/Friend

Today the wonderful man in my life graduated from the Masters Program in English at Weber State University. We are so proud of him and all his awesome accomplishments.

These are the three musketeer's. Amber and Kim where with Steve all throughout his program and they really are the sweetest girls ever. I am glad Steve had such great compadres with him through it. It made it a lot more enjoyable.

This is Dr. Rogers, Steve's favoritest professor. He is the one that Steve still goes to for all his advice and insights.

After Thanksgiving - Ogden City Parade

We have lived in Ogden for 7 years and have never ever been to the lighting ceremony that they have for downtown Ogden. We went this year with the Combe's and watched the Parade, the Fireworks and the lighting of the little village that they have in the downtown square. It was lots of fun and way less crowded than the SLC lighting of Temple Square. We will do it again next year just for that reason.
