It's been a long time

I know I know it's been WAY too long since I have updated our blog. I will try to do better. We have been busy! But everyone is doing good. It is after midnight so this will not be long. I decided to start a blog about Chloe and our journey with her and her diagnoses of Auditory Neuropathy. http://chloesauditoryneuropathy.blogspot.com/ I have so many mixed feelings about all that is going on with her and I thought that it will hopefully be a good way for me to express my feelings and keep everyone updated. Till next time hopefully it wont be another 6 months I will post some of my sweet little Lyla's 1st Birthday pics. It's hard to believe she is already 1!

Random updates

My sweet little Kennedy and Chloe broke my camera. Kennedy took it upstairs to take pictures of all of her stuffed animals having a tea party. Chloe wanted to join the fun so there was a big fight over the camera and that was the end. All of this happened while I was taking care of Lyla. They are always getting into trouble when I am feeding and taking care of her! (secretly I am kind of excited to get a new camera I never liked that one)

Justin entered some of his pictures in proffesional photographers of California he had the 2nd highest scoring wedding portrait! We are proud of him and his work! Kennedy has started to bring home some new books from school the Junie B. Jones series. Justin gets mad when we read them without him these books are so funny. I love that Kennedy is loving to read! She is learning so much right now it is fun to see her grow and learn so much

Chloe is going to preschool 2x a week and loving it (when she's not too sick to go) she has started to point out different shapes and is learning her colors. She is letting me work with her more at home too. Her hearing test that she had in January showed that she has profound hearing loss, she did not respond to anything. So according to the test she is deaf. But anyone that knows this kid knows she is not deaf so she is a mystery to all of the medical proffesionals working with her. The audiologist and ENT think that she has a processing disorder. Pretty much the sounds do not process to her brain right. We have a MRI scheduled for Monday Morning. Hopefully that will give us some answers and we will know better how to help her.

Lyla is growing so fast! I can't belive she is already 4 1/2 months. She is a sweet and patient little thing. Kennedy and Chloe adore her. I don't know if I can say the same for her she loves to watch them but when they want to hold her she gets mad she doesen't quite trust them (I don't blame her). Im afraid she is becoming a momma's girl. She is rolling,cooing,giggling & drooling machine.

me well im just busy taking kids to the doctor, cleaning, doing endless amounts of laundry because we are trying to potty train Chloe. ect, ect, I have been making some new hair things for the girls. Save the Date

Tiffani Swensen has had these dress parties in the past and I have bought the girls some adorable dresses for easter and Christmas but this time she can't do it because of the fire.(their house is almost done being rebuilt!) I am excited this time they are bringing some cute colored stretch jeans, more accesories and shoes too.

Lyla Blessing

I know we had Lyla blessed last month so these pictures are a bit late. I was so excited to see how this dress turned out. I looked and looked for a dress for her I found one I loved online http://www.onesmallchild.com/detailviews.aspx?productid=3763 the only problem was the price I just couldn't pay that much. So I called Justin's mom and bought some fabric and about a week later she was finished! I love it! Justin gave her a beautiful blessing and we had so many great family and friends that came it was a great day. I am so thankful for this sweet little girl she has such sweet little spirit.

Happy Holidays

Like the rest of the world this last month has been BUSY. This year has been so much fun Kennedy and Chloe are at such fun ages they have such sweet little spirits and it has been really fun to see their excitement and Lyla is at a fun stage too she is starting to smile and coo she loves her sisters and their funny faces they make at her. I think the one thing they have lost some of their excitement for is all the pictures (as you can see in a couple of our pictures) Over all I can't complain our holidays have been great! I am excited to start a new year, and to see what this year holds for us, I am excited to see the changes in our girls they change so much every year. I am making a new years resolution to ORGANIZE my time better I feel like I can't stay on top of things cleaning house, homework time with the kids, working out ect. and there are so many projects I want to do but I never seem to have the time. So I am going to attempt to make a schedule for myself and to stick to it! If anyone has any tips to share that help you keep on top of things please do share!!

All about Chloe!!

Chloe will be 3 tomorrow (today now that it is 12:13 am). I love this crazy little girl. She is so much fun, theres not a day that goes by that she doesen't make me laugh (theres also been a several days that she makes me cry from frustration) Chloe is one of the cutest,sweetest,happiest,funniest,most loving,cuddly,thoughtful kids I know (I may be a little biased). She is also one of the most energetic, wild, stubborn kids I know. She definately keeps life intersting and fun at the swain house. The sweet girl has been through alot in 3 years (health wise) We are still going through it and just pray that we can get her figured out! She has a big test we are doing on the 8th of January. She had ear tubes put in last month because of her ear infections, we were really hoping that the tubes would help her speech and that her speech was behind because of her infections. I took Chloe for a follow up appt. this week they unblocked one of the tubes and made sure the tubes were clear and did a hearing test AGAIN. Again she failed. So we decided to take the next step and do this next test it is a Sedated ABR hearing test, we should hopefully get some answers,the next step if this test comes back abnormal is hearing aids. I love her so much I know that she could be alot worse off and it wouldn't be the end of the world if she had some hearing loss and has to have a hearing aid but there are so many things that go through my mind, it just hurts me to think about her having to deal with this for the rest of her life. I almost feel guilty for being sad about this when I go to primary childrens and see all the children with much more severe problems, I know that we have been so blessed I feel so blessed I have no words to explain. Happy Birthday little bug! We love you!!
