On Saturday we went to The Home & Garden Expo in OKC and it was a lot of fun. I was most excited about seeing Paul James since I watch his show on TV whenever I can. His show was on early in the morning Saturday and Sunday and watched him then. He was great at the Q & A session (which lasted about one hour). There were quite a few people in the audience and some did not get the chance to ask questions. Why can't some people learn that it is enough (and polite) to only ask one question each? Here is a picture of Malin, Jacque and I with The Gardener Guy. Personally I think he is cute.

News! David Bromstad (the winner of HGTV's 'Design Star') will be on HGTV starting March 18! The show airs at 10:00 pm e/p. His new show is called 'Color Splash'!

Tomorrow we (i.e. Malin, Jacque and I) are going to the Home & Garden Expo in OKC. I am excited. Once again John will be watching the boys and I am forever grateful. Thank you! Paul James (known as The Gardener Guy on HGTV's 'Gardening by the Yard') will be there. Did you know that Paul actually got his degree from the University of Oklahoma? He studied botany, plant physiology andn plant pathology. And did you know that he shoots most of his show from his very own backyard (here in Oklahoma)? This is what Paul has to say about having his own show: "I remember watching gardening shows when I was younger, and I was amazed at how everything was always picture perfect. The soil was so soft and crumbly. The plants were pest disease free. And the hosts never broke a sweat! So when I got the chance to do my own show, I decided to make it as real as possible." Cool! Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing him live! He is kind of a charmer and I like his sense of humor.

Spring is almost here! I wish I had planted some bulbs last fall... I would have loved to have some tulips and daffodils in our flowerbed. Perhaps I can 'borrow' some from Malin! Just kidding... It is so beautiful outside now. Hopefully the weather will stay this nice. I am definitely ready for some warmer weather. It is funny how I longed for colder weather in the fall but now I am so ready for the sun to come out and stay out. I love Oklahoma in the spring. Sweden is very pretty in the spring too. I especially miss all the pretty flowers growing back home! But I am happy that Oklahoma is pretty too. The fact that we do have four seasons here makes me very happy. I think I would be depressed if it was warm and sunny all the time.

The IKEA store that Carson went to the other day only accepted Mastercard! We have Visa so when he reached the cash register to pay the lady told him SORRY! How typical is that! I felt bad for the man...

Today Malin came by and the three of us (Malin, Max and I) went to Gordman's to shop. Max and I bought a decoration for the front door (the only thing we bought). It was a star made of metal (painted red). It may not sound very exciting but it was. The star is very cute. After our visit to Gordman's we went to Rusty's to get some ice cream. When I was pregnant I was often craving ice cream but I have no craving anymore. I bought a soda instead. So tasty! Right now I am watching the Hallmark channel and a Diagnosis Murder movie. Today at eight o'clock there is a Perry Mason movie that I would like to watch (depending on when Max falls asleep). I used to watch Desperate Housewives on Sunday evenings but I missed a few episodes along the way and ended up watching Hallmark och HGTV (for my fellow Swedes: Home & Garden Television) after Max fell asleep.

Carson is coming back in one week and I am getting excited. The one good thing about being apart is looking forward to seeing each other again. Max has grown a lot the past few weeks so he will definitely notice that. He crawls A LOT. He lets nothing get in his way! And he manages to crawl up the stairs at the Eichman household (with me very close behind). Remember how I mentioned IKEA in my previous post? Carson found out that there is an IKEA 25 minutes away from where he is so he will buy some stuff there. I like the fact that we have IKEA products from three countries.

Friday is here again and that is a wonderful feeling. You know what I mean. It is so nice knowing that you have a weekend ahead. I do not have anything specific planned but I think Malin and I may go to a flea market tomorrow. I have not been to one in a LONG time. I also have some stuff to do around the house. I am working on child proofing the house even more. I need to organize a few things too. Sometime in March I hope to go to IKEA in Frisco, TX. Malin has promised to watch Little Man for us. We have some things we need to buy: two drawers for our TV unit and a wall shelf for the kitchen area. I am also thinking about buying a BILLY bookcase with two glass doors. I worry about Max getting into everything now.

Right now I am thinking about spring and plans for our front yard. I have some ideas already and would love for it to get warmer so I can head out and do some work! I have been reading about plants online and how to grow them. Plants I love from back home may not grow as well in Oklahoma soil so I need to take that into consideration. But there are plenty of beautiful plants that would thrive in Oklahoma. I like to sketch and come up with different designs. We will see how everything goes. One thing is for sure. This year I will plant some sweet potato vine. I will put it both in my flower bed and in planters.

When I came back home yesterday afternoon I had a package waiting for me on the porch. Carson had sent me two beautiful bouquets of tulips. They were absolutely beautiful and reminded me of spring back home. The flowers made my day! Thank you, honey!

It has taken me forever to put something new on my blog! I have been thinking about my blog a lot but I never did anything. Life is good around here. Jonathan is keeping me company right now and Max is sleeping. Yesterday I went out for lunch with Malin and Jacque. We drove to Texas Roadhouse which is by Crossroads Mall. The food was great. I was not able to finish my HUGE (Texas style) burger and that happens very rarely. I eat A LOT. After lunch we drove back to Norman and went to a Home & Garden Expo. It was kind of small but still fun to see. We saw a few neat things. John was watching both boys (Carson is not home) so it was fun to be able to go out with Malin and Jacque. They are so much fun to hang out with.

This weekend went by rather quickly. We went to New York Pizza & Pasta for dinner Friday night. Dawn had come in from Houston and we saw her again. It was so fun to catch up. The food was good as always. I had two slices of pizza; one pepperoni and one cheese. I think my favorite is cheese. Before we left, Kim came out with Tiramisu. It is the most wonderful caket EVER. I could have eaten five pieces (or more). Without a doubt. It is so good. We go to the restaurant at about 6 now. We have to take into account when Max gets tired. We usually leave at 7:45, which is quite a good time since we get home in time for Monk. We watch Monk, Psych and House every Friday night on USA. Sometimes I miss staying out longer but things change when you have kids. You think about them first. My memory gets worse and worse. I can hardly remember what we did Saturday. Carson packed and I cooked. We spent most of the day at home. Last night we went to the movies and saw "Because I said so" with Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore. It was such a wonderful movie. It was great going to the movies again. We bought popcorn and soda (and the rest we bought at 7-11). I recommend that movie. Diane Keaton did a great job! And so did everyone else.















There is a guy in the movie (played by Gabriel Macht) who is so incredibly cute. I have never seen him before. He plays one of Milly (Mandy Moore)'s love interests. If you love a romantic comedy, go and see this!

What is wrong with this picture? By the way, this is a picture of a plate that my husband used. Look closely at the plate! He left a piece of chewing gum on the plate. Yes. He is one of "those".

I just recently found out that Carson's leg is on a Canadian website. He had a tattoo done when he went to St. John's (Newfoundland) in 2005. Pretty cool.

It was first introduced in New York to get more gay men to do yoga (there is quite a large gay community in Chelsea, New York). They say this kind of yoga is a quicker way to connect with the true you . There are no clothes in the way. The trainer can see every move you make (is that supposed to be a good thing?) and therefore assist you in a better way.
