Mike + Mike's Kenz, GET MARRIED!

This beautiful couple were sealed in the Salt Lake temple, yesterday.  They couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!  The weather was perfect, and she looked stunning!  This couple is one of my favorites, seriously.  Andrew's littlest brother, Mike, (I still can't believe he's married!!!) and his sweetheart Mckenzie have been together forever.

Andrew's grandpa has sealed 9 of his grandchildren, us included.  It makes it that much more special to us, to have a grandparent perform such a special and sacred ordinance.  I cry every time someone in his family gets married!  This time I was able to write down as much of his advice as I could, and I'm glad I did.  It was nice to be reminded of what he said to us 7 1/2 years ago!

After the temple ceremony and pictures, we headed to South Jordan for a wonderful lunch, and then down to Nephi.  They had their reception in the backyard of a beautiful home.  Seriously, I have never seen such a beautiful place for a reception.  I wasn't able to get many pictures, because I was chasing Carson around the entire night, but, trust me, B-E-A-UTIFUL!

Speaking of Carson, he was  HOLY terror!!!  I'm not kidding, if he weren't so cute, he would have been in some SERIOUS trouble!  In the span of 2 hours, he fell in a giant fountain, knocked over a large, stand umbrella, (onto another guest, no less...) and escaped.  Twice.  He's lucky he made it home from the party alive.  Regardless, here are some more cute pictures of the stinker and his sister.  Oh, ya, and my hot husband :)

It was such a great day, surrounded by wonderful friends and family.  Welcome to the family, Mike's Kenzie!  We all love you both, so much!

independence day

what a wonderful independece day.  it's probably my favorite out of all holidays! this year we decided to buy the matching flag shirts from old navy and i'm pretty happy with that decision, we looked pretty cute if i do say so myself! 

anyway...onto the festivities!

kaysville is always my favorite place to spend the 4th of july.  i have grown up going to that parade and the fireworks at davis high.  i'm glad that we have pretty much kept up that tradition with our own little family.  we headed over to the parade and got ready for some fun!  the parade this year was so long!  it was almost 2 hours!! the kids loved it.  they got some candy and random junk and you would have thought they won the lottery.

we had a small barbeque after the parade and played some baseball.  then it was time for fireworks! the best part of the whole day.  kaysville puts theirs to music and i always get chills watching them.  another excellent show put on by k-town, the fireworks went on for about 30 minutes!

as much fun as the parade and fireworks are, i can't forget how important it is to remember the people who serve our country every day, and sacrifice so much so that we can have freedom. when i think about the time they give up with their families and the holidays and special occassions they miss so that i can live my life, it always brings tears to my eyes.  it truly is the land of the free because of the brave.
