We had a SMOKIN' GOOD TIME yesterday as we celebrated Austin's 4th birthday! I was so impressed with the firemen at Frisco Fire Station #4 here in Frisco as they taught the kids about fire safety. They were so informative and the kids loved the tour of the station! We even talked to the Care Flight crew, asked questions about the helicopter, and saw the helicopter take off to help someone in need. Austin loved every minute of his party,
and we were so glad so many could join us to help celebrate.
Happy birthday to my spunky little man, Austin! We love you so very much!
They provided all the kiddos with great yellow fire hats and Fire Chief stickers......

One of the firemen put on each part of his fire fighting gear while the other fireman explained what each part did to protect him.
....he even put on his oxygen tank and mask to show the kids what they looked like in full gear. This helped to ensure the kids would be familiar with a fireman's appearance in case of a true fire emergency
...so they wouldn't be afraid.

As we were finishing cake, the firemen came in and said the Care Flight helicopter was leaving for a rescue flight! So, we quickly went outside to watch them take off.....
Once we got home, this little guy couldn't wait to open his gifts!....
