Well, that's it!
Thanks for reading our blog, all 23 of you out there.
We will be starting a fresh new blog after the big move, so, if we love you, remotely like you, or are related to you, we'll let you know about the new cyber-digs for this little fam.
Now for the Oscar speech:
I want to sincerely THANK YOU, my friends and family, for keeping my little family safe and sane this past year. It's been a rough road, and I know I couldn't have done it without the support of my friends and family, the inspiration I gleaned onto, the words of encouragement I received. I feel indebted to each of you who have been a major part of my life, and I hope to pay back in kind wherever and whenever I can.
I'm sad to leave the West! This has been home. It will remain home in my heart. The cool thing about blogging-- Wherever we go, we will be able to stay in contact with you. And we will.
Peace out my friends.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Onward, Ever Onward. . .
Here's the scoop...
Husband has accepted a position with the DoD that will take us Back East for at least 5 years.
We moved out of our house (sniff, sniff), and I am currently BACK in my parent's basement. (Deja VUUUUUU)
We will be in our new house by the Atlantic Ocean by.... the end of August.
So, while my Man gets his training in his new job, paints the new digs, organizes the boxes (yea! I don't have to do it!!!), I will be kicking it here with my kids for the summer.
Life moves pretty fast... We're on to the next adventure.
New adventures will bring a NEW blog. One that we will invite people onto, with loads of security and encryption. Stay tuned.
That's it for now. GAME ON!

When the North Winds Blow...
Change. It's in the air.
Anyone else going through a major turning point? All positive in our home, but we're going through some major changes and adapting to ideas that are going to rock our family quite a bit.
How about...
Twins running... in opposite directions. It's making me a nervous wreck.
Alex reading, and remembering EVERYTHING he hears. No more swearing in our house, or negative-centered topics of conversations. (Not that either happened THAT much)
The laundry seems to NEVER end. Even when I get used to doing huge loads, it's like the loads are multiplying!
Moving. It's going to happen... very soon.
I love new places, new people, new horizons for the sun to set upon. But GEEEZ! I'm sick of moving. But, it's time, and we'll be moving. Soon. Wanna guess where?
Here's one change I NEVER expected to see. I have patience. Like, a LOT of patience these days. Very few things get me in a dither these days. That's a good thing.
Well, time to sort the basement...

One Jiggly Conversation
It wobbles, it jiggles. They're squishy, and a major topic of conversation in our house.
I'm talking bums, people. Tooshies, bottoms, peaches, your rear end. Alex is OBSESSED. Today we just had the most absurd conversation ever. All about bums.
"Hey Mom, why is your bum so jiggly? Why are all ladies bums jiggly and wobbly when they walk?" He then did this bum-shaking move to illustrate the point.
"Well, mine has extra fat on it." I said matter-of-factly. I thought that was the end of the conversation. Not so.
"So, is that why your trying to lose pounds? Because your bum is so squishy, and jiggles and wobbles when you walk?"
Seriously? He should be a motivation counselor.
"No, Alex. Why is Mom trying to lose pounds?" We've talked this one over before.
"Because you want to be strong and have good muscles and hop and jump and skip and surf and run and climb."
"Right. I'm getting healthy and strong. It's got nothing to do with the wobbly and jiggly stuff."
"So, why does my bum jiggle when I walk?"
Alex has NO fat on him. He's lean and runs 50 mph through the day.
How to explain this?
"So, does a horse's bum jiggle when it walks? What about a lion?"
"Yes! It's funny and does this..." He then does the jiggle walk.
"So, is a horse jiggly like my bum?"
"NO! Horses are strong! And muscly!" He flexes for me.
I then explained the difference between a flaccid muscle and a flexed muscle. Physiology 101, all based on jiggly bums.
He now thinks he has a horse butt. I totally agree. But I have a "Wobbly, jiggly bum, just until you become a horse." RIGHT. Just what I was aiming for.

Trippin' in WA
Our vacation to WA was funtastic! Ginormous! Snarcastic!
It was cool.
We went road trip style, which was great going there, as we stopped in a lovely Hampton Inn for the night. On the way home, however, we "bowled" through and made it a bloody long 10am to 6 am trip in the freaking car. The boys were great. Jack gets tired and laughs. Brookie, however, sobbed the whole way home.
Our first part was a great weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge in Centralia. I recommend it! Thanks Nana and Papa for a freaking sweet time! Google the resort. You won't be disappointed.
Then, it snowed, rained, and was COLD COLD COOOOOOLD the whole week. I spent too much time in my favorite Hippie Chick shops in downtown Olympia, Archibald Sisters and Compass Rose being my favorite. We ate at an Indian Dive, spent time at the Farmer's Market, and most importantly, hung with family! We rocked together, Wii style, played outside, went rock hunting, and just enjoyed a low key break. Good times, good times.
