Yum Yum!!

I recently purchased this deep dish covered baker from Pampered Chef. It was kind of pricey but totally worth it. I have made two meals in it so far. But the really cool thing is that you can cook it in the oven or the microwave! Tonight I cooked a whole chicken for the first time and it was delicious. It looked so pretty, I took a picture.

In other news, I will be MIA from the blog world this week, because I am hosting a Pampered Chef show on Thursday and having a garage sale on Friday and Saturday.

Elmo and Pink Toes

My cousin bought Lane this Elmo at a yard sale...she loves it.

Lane actually sat still long enough for me to paint her toe nails.

18 Months Old

Can you believe it? Lane turned 18 months old yesterday. She is getting so big. We went for her shot and check-up today and here are her stats:

34.5 inches Length = above percentile 95
25.8 lbs. Weight = between percentile 50 and 75
19.5 inches Head Circumference = above percentile 95

She's already an over-achiever ;-) The doctor said everything looks great and that we could start thinking about potty training soon. So, you know me I went right after the visit and bought Lane a potty so she can start sitting on it and getting used to it. I think I am starting to develop a buying problem...I have bought Lane so many things in the last month, stuff she doesn't really need but I think she might like now or eventually. I may need to look into a 12-step program.

Can anyone guess what this is? FYI: It is not a kilo of illegal drugs, even though that is what it looked like to me.

That's right...Baby Can Read...or we hope she will be able to soon with these flash cards and videos...we'll let you know how it goes.

Family Reunion

Saturday we went to my dad's family reunion in Gainesville, Texas. This year's theme was "nifties fifties," so I made Lane a poodle skirt for the event.

The reunion is held at a ranch compound. Lots of horses, goats, etc. This was an especially beautiful and friendly horse. I am holding Lane and taking the picture, otherwise this would be a picture of her and the horse.

Aunt Meagan and Lane hanging out at the reunion. She was a BIG help corralling Lane throughout the day. And she made and brought me this cool laptop sleeve for my new Dell. I love it! And I was looking at some last week...sometimes we do this, kind of read each others thoughts. We also wear the same kind of clothes on the same day sometimes too. Freaky!

AquaKids

Lane and I are taking a swim class this summer with our BFFs Sarah and Blake. Brandon came to class today and took some great photos. Today was our third class and a big day of firsts...first head dunk under water (about ten times...yikes), first time daddy came to class, first time down the slide into the pool, and first time to cry at swim class (see aforementioned firsts for cause of crying).
