Dinner Guy

I had to write this down somewhere because I thought it was so funny. This morning Teague came to me with an apron on and toy food in the pockets saying....." Dinner guy! " the way you would say "Super man".  He gave me some fake food to eat. what a goofy personality.  Earlier in the morning I asked him if he loves me and he said "no, I love twinkle stars and eyeballs and bum crack".

Peyton turned six last month.  We finally got around to having a birthday party for her a couple of weeks ago and we made fun ice cream sundae and milkshake cupcakes.  

  Peyton loves being in the spotlight and had such a great time with all her little friends and cousins.  She got a new flashy pink scooter! Here she is with all her little friends.  I made her the poodle skirt just for the occasion.  Peyton is so much fun to have around. She is a friendly sweet little girly girl  and lives to dress up.  We love you Peyton Lee.

Reunited

 Just this week I have finally felt like I live in a real home. Not a construction zone (although we are still under construction).  It is finally finished enough to hang some pictures and keep it sort of clean.  It feels so great to have everything unpacked and all in one place.  As I unpacked boxes of things that I had not seen in 18 months I would sing to myself...Reunited and it feels so good.... I know I am a dork but I just can't express how I feel about having everything organized and having a place.  It feels like home.  It feels like my life used to feel in Colorado.  Happy and settled.  My kids have friends, love their school, we love the neighborhood and the area. We are just so blessed to be here and I definitely feel like this is where we were meant to be. It is interesting how we are led to where we belong no matter how hard we resist sometimes.  I think I resisted pretty hard. South Jordan was not on my list of places I desired to live.  Who knew? It is really spectacular here and we absolutely love it. Here are some pictures of the areas of the house that are mostly finished.  I will post more when we get other areas finished.

It has been a very, very long time coming but We are finally moving into the new house this weekend.  We have had half of our stuff in a storage shed for 18 months!  My kids are going crazy over the toys they find as we dig in to the boxes.   So.... here she is in all her un-landscaped glory. It is not a very good picture because it is overexposed but it is all I have right now. I will put another one up when i get it.  I will take inside pictures when we get some of these boxes unpacked and the construction done. We are doing a lot of work because the home was not completely finished and there were a few things we wanted to change...or enhance.  We have a lot of work ahead of us but once we get in and get settled I think we are going to love it.

Valentines festivities

 This year I was so excited for Valentines day because it was the first year that we got to make a real valentine box. I remember these from when I was little and how fun they were.  We made Brode a guitar box and I think it turned out great if I do say so myself.  We even signed it with his rock star signature.  It had real strings (just thread) and was lifesize ( the same size as his kid sized guitar).

We also made a cakie (chocolate chip cookie decorated cake style) to celebrate the day. We had to celebrate on Sunday because Charlie was leaving town on Monday. I love my little family. It is so fun to celebrate the day of love with them.

Basketball Brode

 Brode is playing basketball this year.  He played one year in Colorado but they didn't have real games at that age.  I think we have finally found a sport that he really enjoys.  He looks forward to going every game and he works so hard the whole time. He made his first basket at the last game and I have never seen him so proud.  He had a smile that melted my heart.  I know these pictures are blurry but it is hard to capture this action.  I cheer like a crazy person and love to watch his games. Man I love this kid!

Hands off my cake

 Teague turned three this January.  As you can see he decided to do a little art work on his face just in time for his party.  He was also very protective of HIS cake. He had to sit next to it and guard it from the cake stealing ninjas.  A dinosaur cake is very fitting for Teague because he really is a little monster.

 Teague is such a joy.  He is a challenge as well due to his very strong personality but there is no one more sweet and entertaining than Teague when he is happy!

 We had some cousins over for cake and ice cream and Teague has a great time being the center of attention.

Teague I love you more than any one could love a three year old tantrum throwing comedian. You are one of the biggest joys in my life.

Santa came to town

Chrismas morning was super fun this year. It is fun to have the kids be at an age where they can really be excited and know what is going on.  Teague slept through most of the gift unwrapping but had a blast when he did join us. Peyton got a dollhouse, Brode got an Electric guitar and and some lessons of course, and Teague got a gun and some puzzles and a light saber.

 All the kids got snuggies and they have been snuggled up in them ever since.

Tis the season to be crafting, decorating and visiting Temple Square

 Since My blog is my journal I just can't skip ahead without recording the things that I have missed while I have been a slacker.  So I have to post about our fun holiday season.  Even though most of our Christmas decoration are still packed in the storage shed we still had fun making crafts and decorating the tree with what were were able to dig out of the shed without to much trouble.  We got a new tree this year. it is our first fake tree and I LOVE it. It looks gorgeous, there are no pine needles and it was easy to put up.  

 We also had fun building a gingerbread house. I think we will make this a tradition from now on cuz the kids had a great time with it.

 I made this cute Christmas wreath and it was our only Christmas decor besides the tree this year. I am pretty proud of it but I think I was the only one who thought it was cute.  I am loving all the fun crafty things that are trendy right now. Felt and yarn and bows and stuff. It makes me inspired to create.

 We also visited Temple square.  Teague was not with us because he was being babysat by Grandma Jackie so that we could go skiin the next morning with Brode and Peyton.  They have been taking lessons this year and are getting really good. Brode Snowboard like his momma and make me proud with his skills.  Peyton is an adorable little skiier and is so brave and easy going about it.  It is so fun to watch them on the mountain.

Disney World Vacation 2010

We had a great time in Disney World in November.  We have never been before and it was a serious adventure because the parks are so huge and there are so many of them.

 Brode and Peyton got to participate in the Lion King Play. They were so proud. You can't see Peyton in this picture but they both played percussion instruments and danced with the characters.

 Waiting and waiting for the Christmas parade.  We got to enjoy all the free hot chocolate and cookies we could eat, and watch a very spectacular fireworks show so the waiting was worth it!

 Super cute gingerbread guys. When they walked by the air smelled like real gingerbread. The whole thing was absolutely magical.

 Bug eyes at the bugs life 3d movie. The 3d movies were some of my favorite things to do. They are out of this world!

 Brode on the Toy Story Ride. We waited 2 hours to go on it but it was pretty fun!

 Teague and me and Peyton had to sit and wait for Brode and Daddy to ride the rockin' roller coaster. They aren't big enough to go and Peyton was soooo sad about it. It was one of the funnest rides there.

 One of the highlights of the trip was the stunt show at Hollywood Studios. We went to Hollywood studios twice because it was our favorite.

 And last but not least...Fantasmic. This was an amazing way to end our trip. It was such a cool light and firework show. We were all in awe.

Thanks to Charlie's deal hunting we got an amazing suite to stay in, It made the trip so nice and saved us tons of money because we could cook in the room. The kids had a blast in the Jacuzzi tub.  We were so tired when we got home from this vacation that we needed a vacation.  I think we all crashed for the weekend to recover.  It was a great time and something every one should do once or twice,  but next time we are going to Mexico to relax on the beach.
