Evalee joined our family a month early, but happy and healthy. She was blessed at a few weeks later, so sweet in her little white dress from Nana.

 

During the summer it seems like my sole responsibility is to wear my children out so I can have time at night with my husband. That isn't completely true but we do love hitting up the local parks and things around our area and we play hard when we do. 

 Happy Birthday to Jack! He has turned four and I can't believe it. Davis and I made a balloon attack for him in the morning so when he opened his door tons of balloons fell on him. Can I just say that he is not a morning person :-) He did enjoy them a little later in the day.

 Our ovens element is broke so my dear friend let
me come over and bake Jacks cupcakes and cake
pops in her oven in the morning. He got to unwrap one present from his nana and papa that morning which he loved with all his heart and saved me from his endless questioning of when he gets to open presents.

 Jack loves cake and what  can be better than cake but cake pops! When we shop at the store and get their cookies samples, he always points out their two dollar cake pops in the gourmet section. I always say okay we'll make some.....someday. So we worked together in the kitchen and made them together. As you can see in the picture there are like five on his platter, well we started out with ten. Hmmm little fingers are sure quick and tricky, but hey it was his birthday.

We had a family party that evening with the Jensen's coming for a
pizza party (this was kind of a ninja turtle party) and dessert. He really had a great time opening gifts and playing balloon volleyball with Evan and Davis.

So Happy birthday to Jack who is now four. He has the best personality, not the easiest at times but he is definitely his own person and I love that about him.

Zoo lights

Zoo lights this year was super fun. We came early to see some of our favorite animals which include the otters, cheetah and eagles. The lights were everywhere, it must takes months to set them all up! We brought our dinner with us which we have never done. They had a nice indoor cafe that we ate in and watched the lights out the wall of windows. Afterwards we headed to get in line for the train. It was a 45 min. wait and the boys were so patient and good. The wait paid off and the boys were super excited to be on the train. We were even able to see the elephants as we rode by, one of them had a baby elephant just days after our visit. We are going to go back when my mom and dad come for a visit in a couple of weeks. It will be fun showing them what we love so much about the Portland Zoo. Merry Christmas :-)

I found Davis in his room quietly working away at building the tallest tower he could with the Lego's he has. He enjoyed smashing it just as much and the building process. It makes me wonder what he will do for a living in the future. ;-)

Masking family night

The boys got these masks from their grandma J a few weeks ago. We decided to decorate them for family night. They were having fun using markers, glue and glitter.

Birthday bash for Evan

 Happy Birthday Evan!
The Jensen's came over to celebrate Evans birthday. The
boys had fun showing off for Grandma J and Papa J, grandma
Clair and Jana. We all went out for a birthday dinner for Evan to
Calamity Janes, a western burger place where they serve outrageous burgers. We came home to a party and a dessert bar for Evan. I made a pumpkin trifle that was so so good, there were cookies and cupcakes too. Evan appreciates his desserts :-p

The boys really got into decorating for his birthday and loved the balloons. They each helped wrap a present and gave it to him when it was present time.

Evan is such a great dad and husband, he wanted to spend his
birthday with the boys and fixing something at the house. I
kept on bugging him to go and do something for himself.
