We started out December by decorating Grandpa's Charlie Brown tree in his backyard. I don't know who loves this more - Grandpa or the grandkids!
We celebrated Daddy's birthday on the 1st of December but of course there are no photographs. Mommy fail. We did go out to dinner but Lilly ended up getting sick in the bathroom so I took her home. This is what a birthday for a 37 year old looks like - completely unmemorable.
But we did take pictures of Lilly on her 4th birthday. Here she is blowing out her candles and opening her presents from us.

We also celebrated Lilly's 4th birthday at the Little Gym with a Princess and Superhero party and Lilly had a fantastic time!
Finally, we celebrated the end of 2013 with a wonderful Christmas Eve and Day. Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve. I hosted a late lunch before Mass and then the girls threw Reindeer Food in the yard for Santa's reindeer, set out milk and cookies, and went to bed in anticipation of Santa!

Christmas morning the girls woke us up before 6, desperate to go downstairs to see what Santa Clause brought them. It was an early morning, but worth it to see the looks of excitement on their faces!
Finally, we spent Christmas afternoon at Memaw's house, Christmas night at Grammie's house, and the day after at Nanny and Papaw's house - what a whirlwind!
These are pictures of the horse drawn sleigh that my grandfather used to carry Santa Clause in during the annual Christmas parade in Somerset. It definitely holds special memories for me and my cousins and I so wish that my girls could have met him and had an opportunity to ride with him and "Charlie" his horse.
