Zayde Turned 2!

Holy cow! Where did time go? I dread his birthdays because that means my last baby keeps getting bigger!

We had a fun party with family and a few friends! He loves McDs so I made sugar cookies fries and cupcake burgers! It was a hit! He loved them!!

Sprained Ankle

Well, I made it almost 29 years without spraining anything! I guess fate decided that it was time for me to join the club. I sprained my ankle really bad after I was jumping down off the last stair and landed on my foot wrong! My friend was at the door and I was hurrying to answer it. I had to wait a minute before I could open the door because I wanted to scream and cry because of the pain. I opened the door and was probably white as a sheet and she kept asking if I was ok, but I am too prideful..I was fine. Then she left and I crumpled into tears, calling my husband and telling him he had to come home. He wasn't able to leave but my kids took good care of me, along with my sister in law. It took a good month or two to heal, but I am just glad I didnt break it!

This isn't even as bad as it got, but I can't find those pictures. 

Alexa {Preschool}

 

Alexa started her second year of preschool and was so so excited! She absolutely loves to go to school with her friends and was very excited that Brooklyn & McKenna were joining them this year! It was so cute to see these little divas walking to school together!

Chayse startede 1st Grade!

Chayse started 1st grade just over a week ago and he is having a blast! It is a hard adjustment for those of us left at home without him all day though! He absolutely loves his teacher! She seems so sweet and this is her first year teaching and so I love that she is starting off fresh and ready to go!! Chayse loves eating lunch at school and thinks recess is pretty cool too!

Here is to a great year of first grade!!

Visiting Grandpa

While we were in Boise, I wanted to make sure we went over and visited my grandpa's grave. I have mixed emotions about going there because I know he isn't physically there, but there is something comforting knowing that he is physically there. I know he was there in spirit with us and I am thankful for the time we got to spend there, talking about him and the great man he was. I wish my kids had more time with him like I did. He was the best grandpa in the world and he always gave the biggest bowls of ice cream! Haha! Love you grandpa!

Chayse is starting 1st grade in a few weeks! I cannot believe it! He will be gone from me all day! It definitely makes me sad, but I know he absolutely loves school and he will be having a blast. Alexa will miss him like crazy, but at least she has Zayde at home to play with. He is getting to the age now where he loves playing with Chayse and Alexa and I think they are loving it! Chayse is in the middle of soccer camp, and I think he loves to play the game, just hates all the running and says he wants to use his hands and his feet haha!. He isn't sure if he wants to continue now with soccer, so we will see. Maybe he can stick to playing goalie! :)

Alexa will be starting her second year of preschool over at Tiny Tots! I am excited to see what she has retained and how much more she will learn! She just got started in gymnastics. She had her first day yesterday and LOVED it! I am trying Highpoint Gymnastics today and we will decide which one we like better! She is in soccer camp right now as well and she is doing really well! She has a knack for it, but right now is obsessed with gymnastics, so we will put her in spring soccer and see how she does then! She is still such a sass and a diva to the extreme, but we love her just the same! :)

Zayde is a ball full of energy..non..stop...energy. He is always on the go and ALWAYS lookin for something to eat! He is 15 months old now and he has such a cute personality! He has the cutest little chubby face smile and he is starting to talk and communicate more, which we love in comparison to his screaming as a way of communicating haha! He can say Daddy, Mommy, nandy (Candy), nanny or nana (banana), meemee (milk), yes, no, ball, puppy, and a few others I cant think of off the top of my head this early in the a.m. Haha! He has 6 teeth with 3 more coming in. I am thinking he likes that  he has teeth now to help him down his food! :)

Brandon and I are just keepin busy with work and the kids and even though life has been crazy busy this summer, we are loving it and loving our kids and how awesome and fun they are! :) We are blessed!

RSL Game

Thanks to Justin and Jenny for our early bday presents and taking us to an RSL game! We had a blast!

Fahnestock/Borich Family Reunion

In June we had our first annual Fahnestock/Borich family reunion! It was a lot of fun and I really appreciate the planning that went into from Dad and Jacque!!

The first day we got down to SLC, I had a wedding to shoot, and then we headed to Dad and Jacque's that night. Kimber and her family got there late that night! Then the next day we headed to Cowabunga Bay and had a blast! It was Zayde's first time in a pool and he loved it! (Though we thing that is where he get Hand Foot & Mouth!) My other 2 definitely got a lot more brave when it came to being in the water by themselves! My anxiety of course, heightens the more brave they get haha! Gotta work on that! After that we headed to a family fav..In&Out Burger! Yummy!

The next morning we got up and got ready for family pictures! It was good to get pictures since everyone was there!

After that we headed up to one of Jacque's lady's cabin up by Park City. It was so nice to get away from all the hustle and bustle and just take in the beauty of nature and breath fresh air and relax as a family. I did get stung by a wasp for the first time..and it hurt..really bad..and itched like crazy for a few days. We had a delish bbq and hung out that night playing games and laughing! Those are the best times aren't they? When you can just hang out and spend quality family time together? I hope we can go back again next summer!! (Though I do think us ladies should hit up the shops in Park City next time!) :)
