The kids love making and decorating their gingerbread men. I think that they had more fun eating the toppings rather than the cookies themselves.

Lindsey's class party

Lindsey had a great time at her class Christmas party. They all got to sing karaoke. It was by far the craziest class party that I have ever been to. They had krispy kreme donuts in the shape of snowmen and hot chocolate too. 
Here her friends are rapping and Lindsey is trying to get her mic to work so that she can join in the fun.

It is so hard to find a picture where we are all smiling and looking normal.

Kirsten's Baptism

Kirsten got baptized on Saturday while we had all my family in town. It was such a beautiful baptism. For family home evening last week, we gave Kirsten a special treasure box with some things to remind her about how special her baptismal covenants are. We talked about the 4th article of faith and put some little keepsakes in her box to help her to remember this special time.

Thanksgiving

We had a great time with my family this year for Thanksgiving. He are my parents and my brother Brian and sister Lacey.
We tried to take a picture of my parents with all the grand kids. As you can see some of the little ones were not that happy to be taking another picture. We had a great time with our family. There were 20 of us altogether and it was such a great time for everyone. 

Happy 8th Birthday Kirsten!!

 Kirsten turned 8 years old today. She is such a special little girl with a lot of personality! Kirsten brings us so much joy and happiness. This is a very special birthday for her. She will be getting baptized at the end of the month. We love you Kirsten!! Here she is through the years......

Kirsten was only 2 days old here. She was such a beautiful newborn baby. I wish that I could go back in time and hold her again. 
She was 5 months old here. Her personality is beginning to shine.

Kirsten was a good sport, it was only 45 degrees the day we took these pictures.  If she looks uncomfortable, she was. 

Off with that cast!!

Lindsey and I have been patiently waiting for this day for over 8 weeks now. I have been giving Lindsey a bath for 2 months now.  She can finally have her privacy and I can get a little break from helping her do so many things that she couldn't do by herself. 
This is right before her appointment.
This is right after they took the cast off. Her arm is so weak. She couldn't even hold it up on her own. It will take a little while for her to have full use of her arm again.
Here she is with her arm splint. She only needs to wear this for a few weeks. Now lets just hope that we have no more broken bones again.

It's our 12th Anniversary!

Brian and I have been married for 12 years today!! For those of you who don't know, we met at a 5 stake dance our senior year of high school. We went to each others proms and then I waited for Brian while he served his mission. We were married a little over three months after his return. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband that I get to spend forever with. He is my best friend and I love every minute that I get to spend with him.

Trick or Treating

Lindsey the school witch (we left our hat at home:() Kirsten as Dorothy, Caroline as Tink, and Lauren as a ballerina. 
We had a fun filled night of trick or treating. Our friends from church invited us to go with them.  Their girls take dance at the same studio as our girls too. The weather was a little chilly but is was perfect.

Spooky Halloween

I woke up this morning in the mood to clean my house. (That doesn't happen very often but I do it any way). So, I opened all my shutters and this is what I found. Thankfully it is on the outside of my window!! What is it? I have never seen such a spooky bug. I know it's not a spider. I guess that I don't need to decorate my house with scary bugs, we have the real thing.  I think it's so funny lately that I keep getting people in the background of my pictures. Check out my neighbor in the bottom left corner. She is talking on her phone and in her sweatpants. Makes you wonder how many pictures you are in that you are unaware of. Have fun trick or treating tonight. I will take lots of pictures of the girls and post them soon.

Pumpkin Patch

We drove to the best pumpkin patch that we have ever been to on Saturday. People have been telling us about this place, so we finally checked it out. It took us about an hour to get there but it was well worth the drive. Not only was it the most beautiful day (60 degrees or more) but they have the biggest pumpkins that we have ever seen. Some of those babies sell for $50 or more. There were people everywhere.
There was a sign that said do not sit on pumpkins, but we could not resist. Plus everyone else was doing it come on.... Look at the cute teenage girl to the left. She was posing for a picture too. 
That line to the right of Caroline went on forever. It was for the hayride. There were all shapes and sizes of pumpkins available. We let the girls pick out their very own. That took forever. I just love how they each had to find the perfect one. Kirsten and Lindsey must have picked out about 5 or more before they found the perfect shaped pumpkin with no blemishes whatsoever. 
There is our silly girl. Yes, I know she has a bright red stain on her white shirt. We had Chick fil-A for lunch and she always has to have fruit punch. Yummy Yummy. 

I took this picture from the other side of a stream. I thought it turned out cute. 
Kirsten would not put down the pumpkin that she picked out. She carried it around all day. 
This was the most beautiful little place. There was a stream with rocks. There were kids everywhere playing in the water. There was a cute little grassy area right next to this stream where there were dozens of families having a picnic. 
In the background of this picture there is a cute covered bridge. If you look closely, I apparently took a picture of a lady and her son posing for a photo too.
