Kiddie Carnival

Here in Athens, there is a kiddie carnival. It looks like it has been here for 100 years. All the rides are small. There are swings, cars, a train, a "roller coaster", etc. The lions club operates it and it is open for a month every summer on the weekends. The best thing is that everything is only 50 cents. We have known about the kiddie carnival for several years but this was our 1st trip. We met some our friends, The Powless' there. They have a little boy, Emerson, who is 3 and our children love. He and Sophie had a ball! Sophie had a huge smile on her face all night. Jack was still a little too small and wasnt into the rides but had a great time exploring and eating sno-cones.

Swimming

The babies are LOVING the pool this year!!..and Sophie has learned to swim!! We are so proud of her and it has been so exciting to watch her. She will jump off the side and swim to you. She can swim under water across 2 lanes before coming up. Jack love to float in his puddlejumper and play on the steps. He loves jumping in too! Jon and I love the pool too so we are there every chance we get.

We had an incredible Easter this year. Sophie is 3 and is beginning to be interested in and somewhat understand the reasons we celebrate holidays like this. It is so sweet and fulfilling to teaach her about God. Sophie is a pro at Egg hunting this year and Jack got his 1st taste of it. It is so much fun to watch their excitement! We spent the Easter weekend with Jon's family. There are 10 grandchildren so it is a blast for the kids..us too!

Rainy Day Fun!!

Today we had VERY rainy/ stormy weather. It seriously poured ALL day. There were about 5 minutes of a break this afternoon so we headed outside for some mud puddle fun!! The babies had SO much fun. Im sure squeals could be heard across town!

Daddy, Lindsey, Taylor and Abbye came to visit today. The girls needed their hair colored and cut and we were overdue for a visit. We had so much fun with them!!

Friday Morning Jon took Jack to the Dr(sinus infection), so Sophie and I went to the park to play and feed the ducks...
