Easter Eggstravaganza

We had a great weekend celebrating Easter. Yesterday our church had quite the celebration for the community with bounce houses, egg hunts, face painting, food and tons of fun games at booths. My friend Kelley and I ran the photo booth. 

This morning we went to a special family service at our church. Once home, we had our annual egg hunt in the yard. The boys asked what eggs and bunnies have to do with Jesus coming back from the dead. Good question guys! ;)

 

Ryan made a big brunch at home then the boys worked on their grip strength at the rock climbing gym. 

Sweet Caroline

Today we went on a field trip to Fort Caroline which was less than twenty minutes from our house. I love all the parks, forts and nature we have here in Florida. This area is jam-packed with US history. We have probably been a little slow in discovering them all but this one was a gem, not to mention it was gorgeous outside!! 

Six is Simple and Sweet

Blake had a "Dude Perfect" 6th birthday yesterday. We had lunch at Chick-fil-A with buddies Hudson and Riley and then joined a few friends at our neighborhood park to play for the afternoon and have cake. Simple and Sweet! 

Late Night Date Night

Last Thursday evening Ryan had a work engagement so the boys asked to have a date night with me. They picked Top Golf because they had never seen it after dark when all the lights are on. They said it was the best time they've ever had at Top Golf and named our date night "late night date night".... and by "late" I mean we were home by 7:20 PM.

Hole in One Houseguests

Only 24 hours after getting home from Breckenridge, we opened our home to host two college female golfers from Xavier University, Mikayla and Morgan, who were here in town for the UNF Collegiate Golf Invitational Tournament that is in our neighborhood every year. Around 80 homes in our neighborhood host the players. The girls stayed with us for six days and were so much fun. The boys and I kept up with the tournament and were out on the course watching all of the fantastic players.  We also got to go out to dinner with the entire Xavier team one night. The boys were so sad to see them go.
