Christmastime

I know that this slide show is it a bit long, but Christmas was wonderful and I had to share some of the cutest pics! It was a wonderful Christmas as you can see and very very fun to have Megs, Jene and new baby Eric here! We had great food, great company (family time is my absolute favorite thing) and were all spoiled rotten! What a wonderful time of year, you could take away all the gifts and I would still love everything about Christmas! A friend gave me a christmas cd this year and I heard a song called "gift of Christmastime" it is so amazing and of course made me cry! I had never really sat down and thought of Christmas being a gift to us. Christ truly makes this time of year so amazing and Cordell and I are trying really hard to make this time of year special for our children, in a more spiritual way! I am truly thankful for the birth of our savior and for all that his parents went through to bring him into the world! I am incredibly blessed and feel that very strongly this time of year. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I feel truly blessed to have it and Him in my life! What a magical time! I hope all of you had an amazing Christmas and that we all take a moment away from the stress and commercialism of the holiday and really reflect on the true meaning of Christmastime and the gift that it is to all of us! Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Pretty Sure I Am INSANE!!

Sugar and spice and everything nice right.....If that is true this week makes me SUPERGIRL!! I got ambitious and 3 days ago tripled my mothers sugar cookie recipe! It took me 3 days to recover and talk myself into icing them!! I finally convinced myself that I had to get it done, so that I could use my kitchen to its fullest asap! I made 165 cookies!!! Just call me Mrs. Fields! The boys helped EVERY step of the way and we did have fun! I really enjoyed delivering them all with Jackson's help! It made it feel more like Christmas...my mom who is naturally a supergirl (no sugar needed) used to make batch after batch of her famous sugar cookies and then we would hop in the car to deliver them to pretty much every house in the neighborhood! Ahhhh good times! Anyway after several sticks of butter, cups of sugar and alot of energy... it is done and I feel very accomplished! Yeah Me!!

I enlisted Jackson's help in wrapping fake presents for christmas decor (hence all the empty cracker boxes lol) and I went upstairs to get more ribbon and came down with the camera for a few shots of my big boy and instead got this!! Precious!

And All That Jazz

My hubby got tickets to a Jazz game from work and couldn't go himself...way past his bedtime lol (he wakes up at 5 for work). So I called the fam and asked what Michon was doing...A Capella concert :( so I took my bubba :)!!! We had a blast and the Jazz beat the trailblazers...Hooray! (On a side note does anyone want to discuss how we are the Jazz and New Orleans are the Saints? Maybe we should switch lol!!!) We had so much fun in the car singing to christmas cds and talking! We had a great time at the game and just really enjoyed being together! I love sports and really like going to a game when I can..especially byu and the jazz! It was a great night! Go Jazz!

They Grow Up So Fast....

So I was doing laundry...story of my life! And I walked into my bedroom and found Cameron trying on my garments!! I had to take a pic and share it with all of you! It was too funny! I laugh now but before I know it he will be endowed and going on a mission! His life flashed before my eyes and I even got a little misty eyed! These pics bring new meaning to the song....I hope they call me on a mission! So cute!!! Jackson walked in and saw him putting them on and said "oh no mommy, cameron is wearing your underwear...that's silly." Ah these are the moments!

The Marchant christmas party was on Saturday and we had a blast! I really need to see these people more! We had great food and alot of laughing! Thanks to everyone for the pics and the food! It was a great party and so much fun to see everyone!! LOVE YOU!!....Don't ask me why my arm is hidden behind me..it looks like I am TOTALLY posing or something lol! Funny!

Guess Who!!!!!

Thats right!!! We saw SANTA!!! A tenant told us that Santa was visiting a nearby location and so we decided to go visit him for FHE! We parked the car on the street and Jax and Owen got out and saw him thru the window and got sooo excited! I don't think they believed us!! There was NO line!!! We had him all to ourselves, except for the elf!! Jackson told Santa what he wanted...the list gets longer and longer lol! He got a pic and a red candy cane!! He acted all shy and then we couldn't get him to be quiet lol! He told Santa that he was his best friend and that he wanted to play at his house lol!!! Santa loved it!! And of course Cameron bawled as we tried to make him happy about accepting candy from a total stranger lol!! A really fun night!!!

O Christmas Tree

Our tree is up! Hooray! Check that off the old to do list! I decided to not stress and let the kids decorate the trees.....first lol! Then I stayed up and moved some things around! It is fun to have a christmas feel to our home! I love hearing the oohs and aahs when it is finally dark enough to turn all the lights on! Cameron really loves it and keeps saying pretty! They both love daddy's tradition of sneaking candy canes off the tree! I find them everywhere...thnks hun!! It feels like christmas now and I am soooo excited!!!

Ok so we have had the oh so very pleasant experience of having wages declared and received on Cameron's SSN!!! We recieved a letter from our CHIP rep. telling us that our baby is making money on his SSN! Funny but INCREDIBLY annoying!!!! We are having to do so many things to figure this out! The good news is that he is so young that the theif cannot get a credit card or loan with this number! The police and Cordell and I believe this is an illegal just getting a job and having to prove he is a citizen with a SSN! I am sooo frustrated at the company that hired this person without checking on the authenticity of the ssn, they have employed a baby lol! We hope to get this resolved quickly and the police should be calling us today with the detective working on our case! Talk about STRESS!!!! Wish us luck!!

Fall "Leaves" Us

So today we got home from Zumba and found the sun out warming everything! We also found a GREAT BIG stash of leaves!!! I realized we hadn't really done anything with leaves, because our landscapers usually are here picking them up! What a great way to say goodbye to such a wonderful fall!!! We played in the leaves for about an hour and a half! I will be finding leaves in my hair and clothes for the next week lol! It was so much fun to see all the kids get sooo into it!! We had a blast! I love fall and will miss the nice weather! However, I am excited for snow!! Anyway I thought we would share the pics as a goodbye to a wonderful time of year, before we get too caught up in Christmas!!! This seemed fitting since we are putting up our tree tonight lol! Sad News

I found out on Tuesday night that a dear family friend and a WONDERFUL baby doctor, Dr. Gordon passed away of lou gehrigs disease! We had found out he had it about 4 months ago and he was given 3-5 years! It just really attacked his system and on Monday morning he went home to his Father in Heaven! His son had come home from his 2 year mission only a week before! My heart, thought and prayers go out to him and his amazing family!! My God comfort you and be with you during such a tragic time! I loved this man and his family! This is one of those moments when you do find yourself asking "why?"! I am grateful to have the gospel in my life and grateful for having a testimony! I know that he was taken for a reason and Ijust have to have faith in Gods plan! I am so sorry for this loss becuase it truly is just that, a loss! What a great man! We love you Dr Gordon!!! You will be missed!!

A Washburn Thanksgiving

It was another GREAT thanksgiving! Our kids were not feeling well, especially Cameron! He was soooo tired and needed to be held the ENTIRE time! We only spent a little bit with my fam, because the boys were just done! Happy Birthday Noni!!!! I wish we could have spent more time with you! All in all good food, great company and fun games! It was a great day! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I was going to list the things I am most thankful for, but I think the list would be way too long!!! A great time of year and a great time to think about all of our blessings!!

Vaccinations and Flu Shots

So Camers needed his 18 month vaccinations and while we were there the doc suggested flu shots for BOTH boys!!! Poor Jackson kept saying "but you said no shot for Jackson." I felt sooo bad. I had to explain that I hadn't lied it was just that I didn't think he needed any! They were both tough and only cried for a minute! I was looking for gum and found my camera, so I thought I would help keep them distracted by playing doctor! They loved it and I think it made some cute pics! Of course no pics after lol!!!

Playing Catch Up...

Ok, I haven't posted for a little bit and I found some cute pics when I was getting them off my camera so...the above pic is of my boys right before Jackson's primary program! The first one with an actual line to say!! He did a great job and was of course the funniest kid to watch! Everyone always tells me that they sit and watch Jackson, because of his facial expressions and just how entertaining he is!

I told Cameron to go and get ready for family prayer and I walked in to find this!!!! PRECIOUS!!

We have had some serious cabin fever with the cold weather and so I let the kids play at Mcdonalds with their friends and this was Cameron's favorite thing! LET US OUT!!!

Cordell and Jackson went to Costco for some misc. items and brought me home a little suprise! I LOVE just because flowers! Thanks you guys! They are gorgeous and they smell fantastic!!!! Love you!! I married really well.....don't you think?!

Bunk Bed Buddies!!

So with all the NEW and FUN stuff we got in our apartment, we decided that we NEEDED somthing....some NEW BEDS!!!! Cameron is out of his crib and loving a big boy bed!! Jackson, of course chose the top bunk, is loving his dark blue room and his ladder bed! The both go to bed really easy now and a couple of nights ago we put them in bed with a nightlight, (our first mistake) and went into our room to go to sleep and all of sudden we hear laughing and playing around. I of course grab my camera and the are goofing off! So it begins!!! GET IN BED!! lol! I remember pretending to be asleep after hearing a parent get out of bed and laughing when they would leave again! Oh no!!! It was soooo funny! Cordell pretended to be grumpy and they got right back in bed and Cameron even covered his face with his blanket! Then we all started laughing! So fun! Kids are wonderful and now so is bedtime!!

Cameron loves his new bed and knows exactly which bed is his and goes to bed really well! Last night we said " Family Prayer" and he ran in and knelt by his little bed!! Sooooo cute!!! Sweet dreams baby!

First Night In The Beds!!

Goodbye To A Dear Friend!

When Cordell and I were first married I talked him into getting a puppy! We found the perfect little toy poodle! Copper was my first baby! I love him so much! He is my protector, my friend, my comforter and the perfect teddy bear! Last night we gave him away to a friend of ours. It was the HARDEST thing I have done in a long time!! We have lived in the apartments for 2 1/2 years and plan to stay a bit longer. He has no room to run around and play and no fenced in yard to use! We just got new carpet and knew that we would need to lock him in a bathroom at night and when we were gone, so he wouldn't have any accidents in the house. I know that he will be happy and he will even have a girlfriend who in a couple of months will let us see another batch of his pups!! We gave him away for free on the condition that we can see him and stud him out 3-4 times a year. And they can't sell him or give him away, they would return him to us!! So it is not goodbye, goodbye! If you know me you know that I spent the last couple of nights in tears and especially last night! We have had him stay at other peoples houses before to stud out, but this time him being gone was incredibly difficult for me! I missed feeling him on my feet at the bottom of the bed and having to nudge him off when I needed to move! I missed his soft breathing and this morning I missed him begging for scraps from the kids! Jackson is taking it pretty well! He has suggested that we get a dogfence guy to come and build a fence for copper so we could keep him! When he saw me crying this morning he asked why I was sad and I said that I miss Copper and he said "It's ok mommy were sharing." Followed by a BIG hug!! Cameron woke up and was playing around with Jackson and started to say Topper, Topper! OHHH it KILLED me!!!! Even this post is incredibly hard for me to write! I just hope he understands and doesn't think we don't love him anymore, or that he did something wrong! I know I am personalizing it too much, but he is my dog and I love him!!! I will miss seeing him at the window waiting for me and I will miss his sweet personality!So.....Thank you Copper for being such a great part of our family! Thank you for being there for me when I needed a snuggle or someone to just sit with me! Thank you for protecting me when Cordell was gone at night and for being so wonderful with kids! We will see you SOON! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! I miss you already! Good boy Copper you're a good boy!!!

I am FINALLY a MarchAUNT!!!

OK, So I have the CUTEST nephew in the whole wide world! His name is Eric Michael Johnson and my sister Megs was a trooper and went through 7 hrs of labor! He was born at 11:44 last night and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 inches long! As you can see he has Megs cute little nose and Jenes full lips! He is sooooooo cute!!! I have to wait 6 whole weeks before I can hold him and snuggle him :( . He looks like Megs baby pics! I think he is such a doll and now I want a dark haired baby!! My babies had light hair and not as much, so they looked like balding old men lol! I am glad they are so adorable now lol! Good job Megs! He is perfect! You done good sista! I love you guys! Hug and kiss him every minute or two for his Aunt McCall!!!! Hooray!!

ok so I needed something to do, after last nights election especially! I couldn't sleep and my sister's due date is today and NO BABY yet, so I decided to write her a song. She is so far away and this is like the only thing I could thing of for support in a fun way! I love you megs! Happy DUE DATE!! Good luck! We hope it happens soon!!

What A fun night! Sorry the slide show is a bit long, but you know me...I have a sickness and need professional help! The weather was GREAT (despite the slight drip lol), and our kids were happy the WHOLE time....oh wait no they weren't lol! As you can tell from the pics, Jackson was having none of the whole picture thing! We also went trunk or treating at the church first and didn't get any pics of that! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, second to Christmas of course! I feel like this year we just barely fit it in! We got new carpet and fresh paint in our apartment jus days before, so we are in a mess! We barely got the sugar cookies done and carved our pumpkins on Halloween lol! So this year it was a tad stressful! But as you can see from the pics, we had a blast!!! Everyone loved our theme and thought that we looked great! And holy cow did we get some LOOT!!!! Anyway...I hope you had a great Halloween and that it was less stressful than ours lol! Now I just need to watch a scary movie and do some caramel popcorn! I am sooo behind lol! Well I guess all that is left to say is.....BOO!

Pumkin Patch Pics

So we finally got our act together, after being sick forever, and took our punkins to the pumpkin patch! We took Owen's family too! We had a blast seeing all the pumpkins, animals, and lights! We loved watching our kids running a muck (a muck..... a muck a muck, a OH). We are really enjoying the fact that we got home ate and our kids passed out! Ah a quiet fall night!
