Baby Friends

I was so excited when I realized that our trip to Phoenix last summer had been planned right around my sister's due date. The day after we got into town my sister and her husband threw a gender reveal party where they finally announced that they would be having a little baby girl. We were so excited since, yet again, our babies would be around 2 months apart, and will hopefully be super close friends as they grow up! Only three days later we were able to go see the newest little niece/cousin in the hospital.

Baby Terra was such  a chunk! Here she is next to Jovi, who is- believe it or not- almost 6 weeks older... and she's almost the same size!

Just look- only seven months later (this was taken in early February?) and they are already friends!

And Jovi is still rockin' the same headband! ;)

Willman cousins June 2011

While we were in Phoenix last summer we were able to get together with all of Kyle's family to celebrate Janan's birthday.

Since this picture was taken another cousin was added in November and cousin #8 is on the way and due this July! What an awesome and fun group of kids... Minnette and Aurelle love their cousins so much!

Snow Days

On a snowy day last November I took the girls on a little field trip (meaning a 30 second walk) to the softball field behind our apartment so the girls could play in the unmelted snow that hadn't already been put to use by the 75+ children that live in our quad.

All bundled up with frozen cheeks and stuck in a jumper for an extended period of time while tired and starving so that Mommy can help the big ones out of their snow clothes... life can be so rough at times for poor little Jovi!!

Silliness

These pictures were taken on a Sunday afternoon last June. I am pretty sure that we had decided just not to give the girls naps this particular Sunday (ummm... obviously!) Which happenned occasionally due to our church meetings being held from noon to 3 pm (right during nap time), which might explain the silly behavior we were witnessing. This sort of behavior was a rare sight to behold, at least from Aurelle at the time, who was acting particularly silly that night, as you will see:

Grandma and Grandpa visiting LAST summer

My, oh my, is this post a LONG time overdue! Again, I blame blogger for my lack of blogging (is anyone tired of hearing that excuse from me??), but we don't need to get int that right now... right now is a time for celebration: because after another 4 month blog absence, the Willman Family blog is back in business!

These pictures were all taken last May and June, just after Jovi was born, all while my Mom and Dad were here. My mom was with our family for a month after Jovi was born, and my Dad came up and joined us for a week in the middle of June. Here are some of our documented adventures:

The week that my mom came up to Provo (a.k.a. the week Jovi was born), despite the fact that it was the middle of May, was cold and rainy. (Not exactly the warmest welcome... pun intended. :)) We were so grateful, then, when the weekend after Jovi and I came home from the hospital, the sun came out and the temperatures shot back into the 70's and 80's, and we definitely took advantage of it!

The duck pond on BYU campus is a favorite spot for our family, so when the weather turned beautiful it was the obvious choice of where to go!

Minnette and Aurelle were both armed with a bag of Cheerios and set loose. The ducks knew what to do:

One of the benefits of having my mo  there to help out, meant that the girls were able to spend a lot more time outside playing. I could send them down with my mom while Jovi was sleeping and I got ready, and after I finally was able to head down, my mom could go upstairs and fix lunch while I stayed with the girls. They definitely got in a lot of good outside playing time.

Minnette really attached to one of our neighbor's bikes (probably because it was pink) but it was waaay to big for her. She would just sit on it anyway. Just sit. For, like, half an hour at a time. Well, one morning I look up to see her whizzing around the quad on the humungous pink bike! She is definitely one determined little girl.

We also got to head out to one of our favorite free places to go: Jump on it. The girls have such a blast running around and playing with balls in the kids jumping area!

On another day while Kyle was a work (he was working THREE jobs last summer- he was at work a LOT!) my mom and I headed to the duck pond with the girls again.

There is an awesome park near our apartment that has ramadas and picnic tables, a super fun playground and a giant grass field in the shape of a huge bowl that is used for draining excess water from the Provo river when the snow starts melting. From March to around mid-July last spring/summer there was a river running along the outside of the field that is only about a foot deep (and ice cold!), and the girls absolutely loved coming and playing in it.

We had so much fun with my Mom and Dad here visiting. We are so grateful to have such amazing, loving family that is so willing to come and help out and visit with us! We love you guys so much! Minnette and Aurelle were sad to see you leave, so it was a good thing that we left to come down to Phoenix less than a week later!

Oh, and as soon as I can find our video camera, I have a super sweet video to upload of my Dad demonstrating for Minnette how to roll down a grass hill! Not to be missed!
