Halloween

For Mason's first official Halloween going to the neighbors house he caught on quick. He liked knocking on the door and then the neighbors filling his bucket with all sorts of yummy treats. After the two neighbors houses it was such nice weather we sat outside while Mason enjoyed his sucker and we passed out Candy to the neighbor kids. My little monkey was very good!

Kitchen Remodel Part 1

The Before







Since we moved into our house in June I knew I wanted to make my house a home by doing a few projects to freshen up the style. Thanks to my aunt Laurie and my Mother I was able to complete one of these projects this past week. A face lift to my kitchen. One of my favorite parts of the face lift is around the sink area with the bun feet and the molding running down the side to pop out this area and add a custom touch. It is not complete yet as I am going to add some decorative hardware to this area that is different then the hardware I put in the rest of my kitchen. I still have to do the back-splash too, which will really add an updated look to the kitchen too-- That hopefully will be done by the end of November. Thank you Mom! Thank you Laurie!!

The After!!

Learning letter sounds

Thomas is such a great Dad. Mason loves to play with him, but he also loves to do starfall on the computer with daddy and learn his sounds. This week Thomas introduced Mason to "A" and "D". Mason caught on right away. Mason also loves to have stories read to him and try to participate in the reading too. He is so fun and is just learning so much each day. Here is a little video I took of him showing off what he has learned.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

There is a lot to catch up on since last time I wrote on our blog. Mason is now 9 months old and he is actively crawling and loves to explore. He also is great at finding things on the ground to put in his mouth too. I guess I have to really keep the house clean now! He is also doing a little talking. He loves to say mamama and dadada. He occasionally will say bababa and one of his favorites at the moment is oooooo. He also loves to point at the angles on the tree and if he wants to touch something he puts his arm up and out to signal to one of us he wants to touch. He is a happy boy and we are loving every moment we get to spend time with him. At the moment he also has 7 teeth! I can't believe how fast he is getting his teeth. He has his upper and lower central incisors, his upper lateral incisors and his lower left later incisor. I am sure the lower right one is going to be in soon too!
For those who have not heard yet we are moving back to Minnesota. I have taken a position with American Dental Partners to work with their Minnesota affiliates (Metro Dentalcare) as a Dental Hygiene Mentor. I am excited about the new job as I will be in and out of the 42 offices helping the hygienist and business in performance. Thomas will be working on some of his own goals while we are in Minnesota and tend Mason when I have to be at the office. We are excited to return to Minnesota to be next to the great friends we made while we were there these last 3 years. I am not excited for the below freezing temperatures, but figure when a door opens with a great opportunity you will learn to embrace the cold:).
We will be leaving for Minnesota on January 1st. Until then we are spending our last week in Utah with Thomas's parents and then on Christmas day we will fly to CA to spend a week with the Kelly parents. In CA we will load our belongings in the ABF truck to meet us in MN.
Although our plans of London did not go as attended and God had a different path intended we our embracing all we have learned from these past few months and look forward to the New Year and what it will bring for our family. Happy Halloween

The month of October has been fun for our family. We have finally unpacked and settled into Thomas' parents basement, We have met up with some old friends, seen some family, celebrated Halloween by carving pumpkins and dressing our child up for the first time, and have got back exercising again to run in a 5K in 2 weeks.

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we went to the Pumpkin patch with Nic, Kandis and Nixon. Mason, along with the rest of us enjoyed the beautiful fall day. We took a hay ride out to the patch and picked a pumpkin for Mason and one for Thomas. We are looking forward to carving them soon.

Back In the USA

Well to make a long story short we are back from London. Thomas has decided that he needs a break from school and that international law is not a long term career he cares to pursue anymore after attending a week of class in London. On top of it all nothing was working out for us house wise and Mason was sick everyday we were there. So after spending a month in London and not even getting to enjoy a single bit of it we are temporarily living with Thomas' parents in Layton Utah until we figure what our family's next step in life is.
