A nice Sunday afternoon for a canyon drive and a small hike? Yes! How about running out of gas at the top of the canyon? Sure! And that was, is, our story for this afternoon. After realizing that we were out of gas and that the car battery had also died we coasted down Big Cottonwood canyon and mercifully made it to a 7-11. Who knew that the gas station had their pumps torn out? Gratefully there was a nice man at 7-11 who loaned us his car so we could drive down the road to another gas station, and buy a gas can and fill it. Currently I am watching Eric pour gas back into our car and getting ready to jump it. Watching, haha what a good wife I am :) and what a fun day!

My Life is a Fairytale
I'm starting to think that if I actually kept up with this whole blogging thing, my post wouldn't be three miles long and it would be easier for everyone else to actually understand what I'm even trying to say. Eh, who am I kidding. Even if I was better at this game I would still ramble on and on and on.... lets blame this one on my Dad. :) Anyways, so as normal there is TONS to catch up on. Engagments, life, Bridals, life, planning a wedding, stress, tears, laughter and more laughter, life, giggles, apartment hunting, lots of shopping, awesome dates, wedding, reception, honeymoon, apartment decorating (which is still in the "when are you ever going to finish" stage), and as ever, more life. Ahh, don't you love life!?!?
Anyways because I don't understand how to find pictures on this monster of a computer my hubby made (seriously, not only is the computer itself huge, there are only 1 million places those pictures can be and I can't seem to find where that is. Stupid external hardrives. Love you honey!) and my laptop isn't hooked up to our internet yet I will have to play story time with this post and picture-sharing time with the next. So lets start!...
Once upon a time Eric was in love with Tia and they got engaged and then Eric's awesome brother and sister in law took them out all day to day to take engagment pictures. Which she is now realizing she never posted... thats what Facebook is for right? (Hum, looks like I need to catch up Facebook someday too...) Anyways, they planned a wedding and were engaged for what seemed like forever. Oh, they also did bridals with the same awesome brother and sister plus Tia's amazing mom. Then one day, the wedding was here! Everything had been finalized anywhere from a week to the day before and now they were ready to go. The day started off with a beautiful breakfast that morning at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Then it was off to the Salt Lake Temple where they were sealed for time and all eternity (it was a perfect fairytail wedding). After the sealing it was pictures, pictures, pictures! Then a break to run up to the church and set up for the reception. Then pictures! Then the actual reception of standing in line and giving LOTS of hugs. Then a few more pictures and then they (we) were off!
The Sunday after there was a BBQ at Eric's parents with both sides of the family and gifts were opened, food was consumed, and fun was had by all! The next morning, very, very early morning, we left for the airport than down to the Bahamas for a week long honeymoon. (That's right, my husband is bomb at planning vacations!) The Bahamas was amazing!!! (and very blog worthy if it wasn't already so long!) We had a blast sight seeing, snorkling, and tons of other awesome stuff. It was sad coming home, but good too.
Tomorrow it will be exactly 1 month since my best friend became my best friend/husband and I honestly can't tell how life will get any better. (I'm sure it well, I seem to think this a lot and then am always proved wrong, but that is definately a good thing!). I have loved every second of the last month, well my life has always been pretty good but ya know, marriage is especially awesome! Life is never boring, except maybe while Eric is at work, and new adventures and fun is always to be had. (Seriously, you want a fun night, come over and watch Eric find and kill earwigs! Hilarious!) In short life is full of great things, and mine it seems is so full it's even better than any disney princess movie. (Because I am real and they are not.)

My Parents Need a Vacation!
Sooo much has gone on in the last few months that as I try to think about what to update you all on my brain goes into some sort of picture flash frenzy and I find myself smiling to myself and staring into space. (Not totally abnormal, but not productive to blogging either). Hmmm, except that now that I think about it maybe a rushed story and random pictures is the best way to sum up the last what... 3 months? So here it goes :)
December of this last year my sister and her now husband, then boyfriend, informed us that they were getting married in February and that we had better start planning the wedding. Well this was odd for all of us since there was no formal engagement, but fun and exciting just the same. So we are planning this wedding (true I didn't do much but the story flows better this way) and anticipating the actual engagement any day now. Truth be told I was anticipating this day for Kaye because Eric had already admitted to getting me an engagement ring, and that he had actually already picked it up. A secret which to my disappointment he spent the whole next week telling me he had made up.
Friday comes along and right before our date I get a bouquet of flowers sent to my house with my name on them, my wanna-be wedding colors wrapped around the vase in ribbon. So I'm excited and I must admit that maybe I did jump around the room a little in excitement, but all hope and trace of thought of my own engagement disappeared as we started the date off by shopping for lingerie for Kaye's bridal shower the next day. After finding my baby sister a suitable honeymoon "outfit" we headed to temple square and spent awhile walking around and sitting in the visitors center talking. Just as I think this adorable boy of mine is loosing his mind he leads me to the reflection pond, hands me some quarters, and tells me to make a few wishes into the reflection pond, telling me that for the wish to come true you had to close your eyes until the quarter hit the water. I do this a few times and after the third wish (I was secretly wishing he would just propose already) I look out and BAM! He's missing. Looking down I see him on one knee with a ring box in his hand. Like an idiot I just stand there, not saying anything, but for a moment he didn't either so its okay. Finally, kneeling in front of the temple, he tells me he loves me and asks me to marry him for eternity. Of course I say yes, at least I'm pretty sure I did, I cant remember anything I said really, just thinking, "is this real?" and after he slides the ring onto my finger he takes me to the Roof where the manager seats us next to a window with a perfect view of the temple.
Next comes a romantic carriage ride, that albeit cold, was beautiful. After we leave temple square we stop at a Village Inn for hot coco then return to my house to show the ring off to the family :) As it turns out the diamond in my ring was the wrong one, but we didn't know this for a month and that's a story for another time.
So I'm engaged first, we do Kaye's' whole bridal shower thing, the bridal pictures, then Kaye and B are finally officaily engaged, two short weeks and one long night preparing for the wedding/reception later, and the wedding day is finally here. Awww, cute, yay for them!!!
My turn again ;) So we wait a few weeks for things to die down and Eric and I start diving into our own wedding plans, which are coming along so fantastically! With my dress picked out, his tux picked out and both the wedding bands purchased I keep trying to convince both Eric and my family that Vegas will work out nicely for us, but to no avail. June 16th it is!
We have our colors picked, the reception all but done, found a tux for my honey and hopefully for the fathers as well, spent a few hours with mine and Eric's mothers finding a dress, decided on food, shopped for miscellaneous things, gotten shoes, figured out wedding party attire layouts, the cake, flowers and honeymoon are also underway, we have taken engagement pictures (don't worry that will be my next post!), and made breakfast arrangements.
Okay so the story wasn't so scatter brained and there aren't actually any pictures, but be sure that next time there will be. For now, just bask in the knowledge that while my parents may be frazzled, they are secretly having fun and that they are excited for Eric and I. :)

I got a camera, I got a camera, I got a camera heyheyhey, hey!
To those of you who read my blog, (hi Mom, Dad and Eric!) I apologize for the lack of communication for the last 10 months. No I haven't been in hiding due to an unexpected present, I've been running crazy mad with a million other things that suddenly jumped up at me. It is thanks to one of the above mentioned "other things" that I have decided to fill you in on the missing time, so here it goes.
Last December I came home from BYU-Idaho not feeling quiet right about heading back up there again in the spring. (I was really loathing my early morning custodial job!) Come January I became intrigued with a young man in the singles ward back home and began the first stage of introduction- the stalking faze. Seeing as I am the total and complete chicken that I am the stalking faze wasn't really moving into the talking faze very quickly. Thus on February 11, 2011 I accompanied my parents to a stake valentines dance hoping to see him there and possible say something astounding like... "hey", leaving him so impressed that he would finish the introduction stage for me. Well as it turns out he didn't come to the dance. So as I'm sitting at the table with all the married couples from the family ward a friend of ours made his way up to the DJ booth and convinced the DJ that I wanted to dance with him. I was embarrassed and was hoping that he wouldn't come down and I could just go home early. But a few songs later he did come down and ask for a dance. Well it turned out that this guy was REALLY cute! So after a few dances he comes back down and sits next to me (this is when he stole my heart, literally.) and asks me on a date. I wait until after the dance, give him my number and 1 week later head out on a very awkward date with the guy. Well the awkward date turned into 2 then 3 and not quiet a month after the dance this DJ became my boyfriend.
So March comes and one week before classes begin I decide that I'm not going back to school (I'm not ready to give up my new found man just yet). Mid March I decide that I'm going on a mission and start the paper work. End of March- beginning of April I only have the final doctors visit and interview left when I decide that I'm not going on a mission anymore either. (This may or may not have something to do with the same above mentioned boy). The rest of the story grows along side my relationship with this great kid, who does have a name bytheway. (It's Eric. Hi honey!)
The rest of the months have flown by with online classes to get my associates degree from BYU-I, Fun times with the family I am now living with again, dates, Late nights babysitting, a fantastic new job at a charter school, dates, a car, car payments, dates, finals, and spending every possible minute I can with the amazing man I absolutely love. (awww!)
So turns out that the same reason I decided to get on and finally ramble on my blog again is the same reason(ish) that I haven't been blogging in the first place.
LOVE YOU ERIC!!!
Our story is actually quiet a bit longer than that and much cuter than I have portrayed it to be, but seeing as I have already taken so long to get to this point that will have to wait for another day. (But it is really great, I promise!)
And back to the title of this post. My super cute-ultra amazing boyfriend got me an amazingly cute pink digital camera for Christmas! Yay me!!! And so now I will be taking more pictures of whatever I want to and blogging to you about them. Until next time! : )

Sweethearts!
Soooo I know it's like 3 weeks late but she is so cute I had to get these pictures on! Sweethearts for Cyprus High (GO PIRATES!!!!!!!!!) was the 12 Feb. and being that I was actually home I got the extreme honor and blessed privilege of becoming Meggers hair slave for the afternoon. It was actually really fun and although it took some sweet talk to get her to agree to an up-do, it turned out pretty stinkin' cute if I may say so, and my little sister was- of course- the most beautiful little lady at the dance that night. :)

Decorating for CHRISTMAS!!!!!
I know that I haven't gotten around to posting Thanksgiving yet but you will have to forgive me as I will be posting those later, but tonight was just too much fun to pass up not sharing!!! In order to get out of a date my sweet roommate C. told her would-be admirer that she had plans to get our apartment decorated for Christmas with the rest of us instead. (Nice play don't you think?) So in order to keep her word we all piled into her car and made a trip down to Wally World to get the decorations. I have spent the last 3 Christmas seasons with C. M. & CL. and this is a first with our new friend JU. but this is the first time we have gotten an actual tree (actual as in not a sage brush, the tree is plastic...) and we were pretty excited! So armed with bags of festive decorations, sparkling cider and pizza we went back home to enjoy our fun evening complete with 2 hours of Criminal Minds.
And to top this wonderful night off we had to jump CL.'s car. So I took this wonderful opportunity to take a bucket load of pictures of everyone freezing in the snow. It's nights like this when I realize that life is really pretty grand when you have amazing friends like mine. :)
