Wow has it been that long!

I haven't posted since March, terrible! I guess Facebook has totally sucked me in. I've uploaded a bunch of photos, some videos and all my DSC portfolio work on Facebook. Vector Art in Illustrator

This project is dedicated to my sister Erin. She is one of my favorite subjects:)

How do you eat an elephant? One bit at at time. This took me 36 hours over a 3 week period and ironically, I loved it! I found an image of this online, made a template in illustrator to copy over it and after a lot of detail work I did it! This is actually my favorite class, AH GASP! NOT PHOTOSHOP?! OR MY PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO CLASS? That's right. I definately love those but I didn't think I would love drawing so much. I think because it's new and it's so fun to put on head phones and just work without my brain bleeding from photo editing in the other two classes. My teacher is amazing and this semester has been so great as I am learning and making so much progress. Our final project is very cool so I'll post that in May:)

Bike Rides

Hi:) What have we been up too?

Family-Well we have been on several family bike rides this month and have loved the perfect weather in St. George and the great trails. I also take Isaac to the Rec Center to go swimming but he likes to watch the other kids at the pool more than be in the water.

Todd-We will find out where he has been accepted to the end of this month. He applied to UNLV(vegas), Boise State and UofU. Salt Lake is our first choice but the Psychology program fills fast & is competitive. We'll just have to see:) He is also still full time at the youth facility and has started P90X every morning.

Me-I just finished spring break and midterms went well. The big project I was working on in Illustrator turned out great, and I am learning alot in Photoshop. My commercial photography class is very laid back and we just finished shooting toys. I go to the rec center 3-4 times a week but I want to go 5-6 so I need to push myself more. I work out whatever feels like it needs it and jump around machines alot, lift weights, run uphill on the treadmill, shoot hoops or go across the floor(some dance exercises) and always finish with laps in the pool for 15-20 minutes. I feel great I just don't see results yet. I'm also eating less and better. Where did this come from?...I guess you could say I saw a video of me last month and about died of embarassment! My goal is 140lbs:) And I'm not telling you how much I have to lose to get there! Next, I am planning a fun trip with Todd to Vegas in April and maybe a cabin trip with us and Erin's family at Duck Creek in May:)

While I was in Idaho after Christmas I got super lucky. I got to take family pictures for my brothers' Jason and Preston, and of my mom and step dad. I love taking photos of my family! They are such great models and I am so happy to have current pictures:)

Christmas at our house was a little early as we were headed to Idaho on Wednesday to spent a week at my parents. So Todd, Isaac and I celebrated just ours on tuesday morning , and then with Grandma & Grandpa Rignell that night. We had lots of fun and Isaac kept saying

"O Wow!"

Merry Christmas

This year Todd, Isaac and I will be going to Filer, Idaho. We are excited to stay with our friends, Jarom and Heidi Taylor in Salt Lake Wednes. night and then see my family for Christmas! I have special gifts for my brothers, sisters and parents and I would love to have snow! Hopefully I can take Isaac mildly sledding and spend lots of time with my brothers and sisters:)

Thanksgiving Trip 2010

My parents flew in to Vegas and we saw a "American Idols"(impersonator show) that night and stayed at the Stratosphere. Then to Pomona, California. One night we ate at this awesome, upscale sushi restaurant and got 6 different appetizers! It was fantastic, they were so pretty and SO GOOD! It was beautiful and packed with people, very cool place.

Universal Studios:) We were here in August but this time Kate got to come!

Oh, I couldn't help it. I talked up San Diego so much that I convinced everyone to go! It was only and an hour & 45 min drive and we even stopped to look at the temple.

We also stopped in a cute town and ate at a small authentic mexican place outside. The ocean was just over the hill and I loved the food! We drove a little through down town San Diego then went over the bridge to Del Coronado! My dad, Olga and Kate loved it! Of course it was all gorgeous!

Yes. WOW! That is an ice rink right next to the beach! This place is so cool.

The hotel had lots of Christmas decorations and a huge beautiful tree with ocean ornaments.

I love this photo. The shoppe had beautiful delicate items and the lighting made everything seem so fancy and dreamy.
