Where did the time go?

Upon gazing on my blog I realized that it's been a while since posting.

Therefore, for those of you who do visit my blog here's an update of our little family.

My belly is growing.  I can no longer see my toes when I stand.  I pee more than I want to.  I'm actually having cravings this time around.   Poptarts as of late.  Early on it was anything red meat.  I almost ate a whole chicken by myself and when Tom ate some of it I got mad.  I didn't vent because I way trying to figure out why I was so upset over him eating some of the chicken.  I realized it's because I WANTED that meat and it was MY chicken.  After a couple of minutes of telling myself it was a chicken for the whole family to enjoy and that it was okay to share I was over it.  Weird.
I have also realized that my maternity wardrobe is, uh, a bit ugly and out of date.  Seriously!  What was I thinking when I got that shirt?   Maybe it's because when I was pregnant with Little Man I took anything that I could and now that I have a bit of an option I'm not so sure I want to be wearing those black and white checkered pants.  Not even around the house.  Good thing the DI Bin is coming to our church parking lot.  They are going to go to someone who really wants them.  Or not.

Tom is busy with work.   He's such a trooper on Tuesday nights when he has both kiddos to put to bed and I'm at mutual.  But he's just catching up for the last five years where I've had one to two nights a week to put the kid/kiddos to bed by myself.  I don't know how I'm going to do it when #3 comes along.
He has also started to chatter in my ear that he might go back to school part time for a Master's Degree.  I hope so.  I've been trying to encourage him for a while.  Maybe five years of talking about it is sinking in a little bit.  

Little Man is a busy boy!!  He LOVES being outside.  Doesn't like drawing ( I already knew that).  Is loving to learn how to write and spell words.  Taught himself to ride without training wheels in about an hour.  Always seems to find the dog poo that somebody doesn't pick up.  Pesters his little sister.   Loves to drink milk and anything chocolate.  We are working on learning to tie his shoes.  He is a good worker and loves to help clean the house.  Especially the bathrooms.  He also leaves me wonderful treasures of paper, rocks, cars, and other boy things when I do his laundry.  I must always miss the pants that are full of treasures when searching pockets!  

Babe is growing up too fast!  She LOVES to draw and color.   She loves to play with all her toys.  she LOVES books which she calls her notebook thanks to Blue Clues.  We watch a lot of Tinkerbell and Yo Gabba Gabba.  She loves to play outside and cries when she can't go out and cries when I have to bring her in.  She had an aversion to Nursery a month or so go but now it's all she talks about.  She also loves to see her little friend around the corner and asks everyday to go see her.   Babe is also learning new words all the time and repeating EVERYTHING.  Oh you say?  Example:  Little Man was not being obedient and it was the umpteenth time I asked him to do something.  Then he did started sassing back and I told him if you keep that up I'll kick your butt!   For the next week Babe was walking around the house telling everyone, "Kick your butt."  I learned my lesson.  

#3 is a movin' and groovin'.   Mainly at night.  Well pretty much all night.  I wake up to go pee and he/she is moving.  I lay down or shift and he/she is moving.  During the day he/she is pretty still but will randomly move and kick.  #3 is also being carried MUCH lower than the other two.  So when  he/she wiggles just right I have to run to the bathroom and pee.  It's awesome.  I love peeing this much.

Well, it's about time to get dinner going so we can have Family Home Evening.  Until next time . . . . . .

Oh How I Love Thee!

We are celebrating his birthday today.

I'll spill later as he hasn't gotten it yet.

  I would list the big something - zero list of ways I love him but since this will be posted to Facebook

 he won't like that much.

He requested these little yummies for his dessert.  

First time ever making them. 

 Any guesses as to what they are?

I had a lot of fun  making these and they taste wonderfully!  I think I might make some for Babe's birthday party bash but a little less sophisticated!

PS - Any one who has ever made these I have a question:

How do I get them to keep their roundnesses after dipping in chocolate?!

If so that means I am going to have to share my chocolate now!

What do your little thieves eat?

Autumn is wonderful!

It's also my favorite time of the year!  After living in Cali for four years I am beginning to understand the shift in the seasons; small as they may be.   There are even a few trees near the end of October early November that have a red or yellow hue to them.  I discovered a patch of them last year and plan on taking walks and lying under the trees this year!  

I also love Autumn because General Conference comes during that time.  I am grateful for the messages shared even though some sessions I didn't hear anything from kids being noisy, loud, or bothering each other.   I also didn't even hear the rest of the Saturday morning session when Pres. Thomas S. Monson announced a temple in my beloved hometown of Star Valley, Wyoming!  I squealed with utter joy and then the tears began to fall!   Babe ran over and wanted to sit on my lap and Little Man asked me what was wrong.  I told him, "Nothing is wrong!  There is going to be a temple in Star Valley and I'm so happy!!!!!"   Upon hearing this news I become so overwhelmed with joy that I began to wonder if this is how the saints in various areas must have felt like when they heard a temple was going to be built closer to them.

Now I know that I am NO WHERE NEAR Wyoming.  California is quite far from it.   Yet I am excited and thrilled that I'm making plans to take my family to the open house and show them the wonders of where I am from.

What Lighting Tastes Like

Little Man had his first soccer game on Saturday.  
I find it very funny watching a bunch of 4-5 year olds chase a soccer ball around.
I laughed pretty hard sometimes!
Then this little jewel of a conversation happened AFTER the game was all done.

Me:  Did you have fun?
LM: Yup.  Number 3 is REALLY slow.
Me:  But Number 3 is a really good player!
LM: Yup.  He's really slow though.


Me: Do you like your snacks?
LM: Yeah!  I even got Gatorade!
Me: Can I have a sip of your drink?
(After taking a sip)
Me:  Tastes just like orange with a hint of salt.
LM after taking a sip:  No, it tastes like lighting!

Now I know what Lighting tastes like!  Orange with a hint of salt!
