Join in Prayer

Tom's cousin and and her husband are adopting twin baby boys from Ethiopia and today was supposed to be their court date. Somehow their papers have been misplaced and the judge said if they resurfaced by Thursday he would review their case. Otherwise they do not know what will happen. Could you please join with us in prayer that God would provide the right person to place the papers in to the right person's hands. It is so hard to sit back and feel helpless and yet knowing God has full control, we pray!!!! Thank you.

Be careful, it's hot

So I guess I must blow on Silas's food pretty much every time I put it on his plate, and so he picked up the habit recently. Here is a video of him blowing his food, just like mommy does. He also picked up the phone the other day and "talked" on it. It is so fun to see them start mimicking things we do every day.

Pregnant Pic

Ok, so here is a picture my very talented sister Taryn took of me a week ago. So I think it is just a tad better than Oliver's.

20 week picture

So I realized recently I hadn't taken a picture of myself growing round. I asked Oliver to snap a picture of me. He was sitting on the couch to keep steady so the up shot makes me look rather tall. Here is my first pic of me and baby girl Steffen growing. I am so enjoying feeling her move now. It reminds me to pray for her and I am just so amazed at this miracle forming within me.

My first little girl is 4 today.

Four years ago today, it was the day after Easter. We had celebrated at my parent's house the day before and they kept Noah and Oliver over night. On this morning, 4 years ago, we went to the hospital to be induced, 1 week before my due date, because fluid was low. Naomi made her entrance into the world around 11:00. I remember being so excited to meet you. You were so beautiful, with dark skin and eyes. My first little girl. You are such a blessing to us Naomi, so full of like and spunk. You make everyday a day full of surprises. We love you. Happy 4th Birthday!

Another Princess is on her way!

Yes - you understood correctly. This mother of 3 boys and 1 girl is now adding another girl to the mix. I really can not wrap my mind around it yet. It just shows how I was protecting my thoughts from really going there in my mind. Naomi has a sister! I just can't believe it. We are so excited and just blessed to have another opportunity to raise a child of God. So far, everything looks great. She is growing just as she should and we are just filled with praises!

Now come on really. I know there are plenty of people out there, including many from our very own family that have not weighed in on: Is it a Boy and a Girl. And the countdown is upon us. I would love to hear even from people that happen upon my site, or who have never commented before. Looking forward to the results.

A brother for Silas or another Princess

So I have been anxiously awaiting my next apppointment with my high risk specialist. I see them for my Grave's Disease, heart check and now a blood issue. I have a hyperactive thryoid which I have taken medicine for off and on since Noah was born. I am not on any currently and my levels seem be holding steady. I have never had ill-effects with my pregnancy because of it, but they just monitor it with bloodwork and sonos. Also they do an indepth study of the heart. The last one is a new finding this pregnancy. I have an antibody in my blood that can affect the baby much like the RH factor does in pregnancy. Basically if my baby has the particular antigen that my antibody fights it could cause anemia in the baby. It is pretty rare to have it and from what it sounds pretty rare to cause problems in the baby. Just one more reason to be stuck every month and get frequent sonograms. All of this to say, I will be 18 weeks next Monday, the day of my sono. and am praying the baby gives us a peek at what it is. Let me know what you think. Silas's 1st Birthday Bash

So we had two parties but I only have pictures from the first as my camera decided to stop working during the second one. Any you could send my way Ab would be great. Since Silas is a leapyear baby I decided to do a frog theme of sorts. Not sure if that was so evident since my husband thought they were Oscar the Grouch. He had a fun night, loved his balloons and toys and dug right into his cake.
