So....

We're still alive and doing well, I just haven't had any urge to update my blog for......well awhile. We've been staying pretty busy but still finding time to relax and enjoy life. We have tons of pictures from the last while but since I haven't even uploaded pictures since last time I posted I seem to have misplaced my adapter so maybe later. We've got some good ones.... trip to Boise, parades, fair, Briggs shooting his first BB gun, Tony's Grove, anniversary, canning with Briggs (big helper), pumpkin patch, Halloween, playing in the snow, adorable pictures of Briggs, everyday life and occurrences and the lovely collection of pictures of Tantrums by Briggs(is it rude that I take pictures of him trowing fits and crying? Guess I'm just documenting it for everyone who thinks he's the happiest kid in the world! ha). Maybe I'll get picture up but maybe not at least now you know what we've been up to.
Briggs is still our sweet boy but definitely has let out his terrible 2 side lately. It can be pretty trying some days but he always makes up for it by running over saying sorry and giving a big hug and kiss. Before he does something else naughty that is, somehow saying sorry for the one previous means he can do something different and it makes it okay. Right now he's loving Christmas lights, trees, candy, his ornaments (luckily on his own little tree and doesn't touch mommies), snow, wanting to open presents, and everything else the season has to bring.
So he figured out where his presents are hiding (unwrapped of course) and I catch him numerous times a day trying to get the door open, I need to get them wrapped and moved I think, he's very determined. We're very excited this year for Christmas, he got into it last year but didn't really understand but this year seems to be different. He loves his Christmas movies grandma brought over(which is where he picked up on the present thing I believe) and tells us all about Christmas so it should be lots of fun. He's also loving nativities, he plays with every ones even when he shouldn't, we've been trying to teach him who everyone is and he loves naming them all. Oh and he's talking up a storm now telling all sorts of stories not that he wasn't months ago it's just the way he connects all he thoughts and words I guess. He's growing up fast.
Other than all that Trent and I are just busy doing the normal everyday stuff nothing to exciting and not much has changed besides.....we're EXPECTING(for those who don't know already).
The due date seems to be ever changing with this one, one week we're measuring quite small like two weeks and the next right on track if not a little big. So we're going for June 8th, one day after Briggs' 3rd Birthday. We're so excited! I was very sick for a while but the doc finally got me switched to some great medicine and I'm doing much better besides nothing looking appetizing. Briggs doesn't understand fully yet I don't think but he does like coming up and giving the baby kisses and telling him it's he's "big brother Briggs" so maybe he does........ He has such a love for babies it's crazy! I know there are other toddler's out there that love babies but this little boy is nuts! He's going to be such a fun big brother.

4th, Camping, Bear Lake, Aquarium, and Softball

4th of July:

For the 4th (well 3rd) we went to the fireworks in Logan, just the 3 of us. Briggs is so funny, when we first get there he just sits back by us and watches all of the kids, just scoping them all out until he finds the one he likes I swear. So he befriends this little Hispanic boy Albert, cutest kid ever by the way very nice and polite. This kid was so funny he wanted to sit with us and cuddle up in our blanket. Briggs knows how to pick them though, he chose the one who brought watermelon and shared. Here the two of them are just shootin' the breeze. Briggs loves fireworks, he "wow's" the whole time. Well until he gets tired

Camping:

The 4th we headed up camping and met up with Trent's brother . It was the first time we've ever took Briggs camping, I can't believe it took us two years. He LOVED every minute and was so dirty.

It got pretty windy so we had some waves coming in. Briggs loved laying on Trent like this and having them splash over Trent and on him.

This week has been pretty eventful so far.....

Monday we met up with a mission comp of Trent's for some Venezuelan food, which is pretty good I must say. Then we decided to head on over to the aquarium, Briggs loved it. Since he has his own frogs he loved the frogs. He also liked the more exotic fish and sharks. We touched the sting-rays, which didn't feel like we thought the would. Briggs touched one first and was terrified. He was so fun to watch, he's so much like his dad, can't stand still for 2 seconds. I think he was almost overwhelmed with everything, but he loved every second.

Trent then surprised me on Tuesday with a little night away from Briggs in Park City, very relaxing and needed (our washer died Monday night and vacuum died that morning, blah). We did nothing but lounge around, eat yummy food, and enjoy the hot tub.

Wednesday we return home from our trip very relaxed and ready for a uneventful end to the rest of the week. Well we had our softball game that night........So.......I was catcher....which I don't particularly enjoy but.....nevertheless. Right center throws in the ball, which isn't really coming all the fast, hits the ground like 15-20 feet in front of me, and pops back up gaining a crazy amount of speed and height, now starts the slow motion, nothing you can do but know that it's not going to be pretty, and yeah hits me in the face.

6. Didn't have to be there to see us lose the game

Hours later: very swollen(can't really tell unless you look at the bottom of my cheek)

Next morning...still swollen(check out my nose) and becoming beautifully colored24 hours later: looking even prettier but swelling going downRight now: lovely, still swollen and bruising on other side of nose as well. Laugh it up....it's kinda funny. I can't believe I posted these beautiful pictures of me.

Briggs will come up and point and say "owie ouch pretty". Thank you Briggs.

The Goings Ons.....Zoo, Boating, & Birthdays

BRIGGS is 2! June 7th!

I can't believe my baby is already 2! When he woke up we went in with balloons and a present(movie), he was so excited about the balloons and carried them around for days! We spent the morning watching a movie and relaxing and having his favorite breakfast sausage and orange rolls. The kid was in heaven! His cake....he's obsessed with bugs right now, so much that he catches hornets(yeah... not safe). He loved it! Not only was it a bug but it was cake and frosting.

Boating at the Bay.... Briggs loved it, every minute. Well except when we put him in the freezing cold water(it wasn't that cold but not warm by any means).

ZOO.... What can you say about the zoo... Briggs loves any kind of monkey and the giraffes scare him when their heads get to close. The day consisted of chasing Briggs everywhere, "what's that", "ooooo moonky", and "rrrrar". He was so excited watching the elephants eat.

Easter

Easter was just like all the other holidays with toddlers, FUN! We had a little egg trail to his basket. We put a pile in his room by his crib and when we went in there Easter morning he said "What's that" of course, because that's what he ALWAYS says. We got him out and he immediatly grabbed his dump truck and started on the trail loading up the eggs as he went. When he got to his basket he said "What's that", looked around for a bit and then continued playing with the eggs. OH the eggs, once he found out the goodness inside there was no stopping.
