Tanner Robert Kimball!

   We welcomed Tanner Robert Kimball into our family at 9:58 a.m. August 17th, 2012 at Mckay-Dee Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and is 20 inches tall. We're so happy that he's finally here!

Tanner is now 9 weeks old!

   Tanner is an excellent sleeper- at 2 months he already sleeps from 11 p.m. to 7 or 8 a.m. We are thrilled that he's an excellent nurser too, he's already getting so big and strong! It's been a big relief to Trevor and I because Riley had reflux and really struggled with nursing; he went on formula after just a couple months of being born. And formula is so expensive! Its a huge relief to have Tanner nursing normally, no signs of reflux with him so far, I hope it keeps up! 

   He's a really happy baby but cries and fusses a bit in the evenings. Every day gets better. He's starting to smile and coo a little bit when you talk to him. We just love it when he giggles too. Tanner is definitely a mamma's boy! Its nice to be the favorite parent for a change!

    Riley loves his new little brother and likes to give him kisses. Not to keen on holding him though, he lasts just a few seconds. Riley is so excited to see him when he wakes up in the morning and can be heard saying "Hi Tanner" in his cute little voice all day long. He is such a great big brother and is so kind to him. We're so happy to have two wonderful sons in our family!

It's a . . .

 It's official, we have another baby boy on the way! Riley is going to have a brother! He's going to be such a great big brother. It will be so nice for him to have a little buddy to play with and share a room with eventually. The baby is due August 16th. Hopefully he won't be as slow as Riley was in coming. I'm not looking forward to being overdue a week again! We haven't picked a name yet but we like Carter, Cason, Skyler, Bryson, Carson, Tanner, and Jackson. My favorites are Carter and Cason, but we'll see! His middle name will most likely be Robert. The doctor said we should get a reward for the most normal and perfect ultrasound. He measured exactly to my due date in everything! All we need on my side of the family is another grand-boy to make a basketball team. Grandpa Reed is so excited to have all these little boys. I think Great Grandpa Powers is thrilled to see all these boys; he only got daughters and they mostly had daughters too. He must be helping to send these boys down to our family!

Basketball Cake!

We celebrated Riley's birthday on Friday with lots of cake, ice cream, and presents! I can't believe he is already two. It seems that not too long ago we were living in Logan and bringing Riley home from the hospital. A lot has changed since he was born. We've lived in Logan, Syracuse, Layton, Farmington, and now Clinton! And Riley is going to become a big brother in August! Riley's favorite toys are books, balls, and cars. He and Trevor love to play basketball. He has lots of words and some favorites are: Mommy, Daddy, ball, more, doggie, bye, see you later, car, puppy, treat, shoes, socks, and blankie. He loves his stuffed monkey and puppy, and drags them around the house. Lately he has to wear his socks, shoes, and jacket with the hood up from dawn til dusk. He loves to play outside and has a lot of fun blowing bubbles, throwing rocks, looking at flowers, and watching the kids play during recess. He and his cousin Gavin have a great time together and make us laugh constantly. Happy Birthday Riley!

Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

After years of wanting to go and being stormed out when we made the trip last year, Trevor and I successfully, and finally made it to the Tulip Festival! It was a gorgeous day and so fun! Check out our pics!
