Our culminating activity scheduled this Saturday (Oct 22nd) for the Book of Mormon project this year has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. We will let you know as soon as we have a new date and time for the activity.

So... you have more time to complete any projects you were working on!

Lindon Cannery - Chicken/Pork!

Dear Lindon Cannery Subscribers:

Links for the chicken chunks and/or pork chunks will be active at 10:00 pm tonight, Friday, September 9^th (as indicated on the red time clock just above the table). You can go to the links right now, but cannot schedule until 10:00 pm. When the links are active, the times where you can schedule will say “Available” instead of “Empty”. (A blank spot is not available to schedule.) If you go to the website to preview the sign-up, don’t leave the page open. It will not appear active if you don’t refresh the screen once it becomes active at 10:00 pm.

Please do not delete this email until you have completed your family canning shift in October. The links will allow you to return to the signups to review the details or cancel a scheduled shift you cannot work.

Each person is only allowed to schedule one shift for themselves but can help others schedule if needed. Write down the day and time you schedule. If you get an error when trying to schedule a shift, please return to the table and see if your name is listed before trying to register again. It is not uncommon to actually be registered even when you get an error message. You will need to be aware of the time (column) and Worker # (row) coordinate so you can verify if your registration went through.

Please remember that you can only order up to 4 cases of meat COMBINED. You cannot order 4 of each. EXAMPLE: 2 cases of chicken and 2 cases of pork = 4 case limit.

Be careful to enter your email address correctly. It takes a lot of time to find incorrect email addresses and they prevent update emails from reaching you. The email address you enter when registering for a product is the one we use to send you update emails. It is not the same as the distribution list that you are receiving this email from.

There is a separate link for each day we are offering canning opportunities. Please make sure you are clicking on the link for the day you want to schedule.

The very last thing you enter during online registration is an UNDO code. It is case sensitive. This allows you to UNDO an unwanted shift or to change to a different shift. It is imperative to write down and keep track of this code.

Book of Mormon Challenge!

Hey everyone! We hope you are working on something to share at our "Search, Ponder and Pray" celebration on October 22nd. Whatever you do, it doesn't need to be big! Even if you have only a small amount of time, please try to create something that relates to, or reminds you of the Book of Mormon.

Laura will be contacting you to see what you're working on. This will be a ward activity for the whole family. So, if you have something you'd like to do as a family, that's great too!

Quilts for Japan

Friends and family:

In an effort to aid those suffering in Japan, we have scheduled my church building this Saturday to tie quilts. The church humanitarian center has put out an immediate need request for twin and full sized quilts to help those suffering in the aftermath of the disaster and now extreme temperatures. If you have any time at all this Saturday, please consider coming even for an hour. If you have sheets, yarn, or batting, please consider bringing them to donate. If you can bring them to me ahead of time, I can mark and cut them to size, if not, I will do that there. I will also have a giveaway there as an added incentive (if the cookies and good "servicey" feelings aren't good enough). (Those who live outside Utah, I know you can't come, but could you pass this to anyone who would be willing to help in UT?)

Come tie quilts to be donated. If you have twin or larger sheets, batting, or yarn you can donate, bring those as well.

Please pass this on to anyone you can. Friends, ward members, coworkers, etc. If you know quilt or fabric shop owners (or avid quilters with a huge stash!) who would be willing to donate fabric or batting, please ask them. This is obviously short notice, but also as obviously, an easy thing we can do to give service and help our sweet brothers and sisters. This would be a great opportunity to teach your older children about the power of timely service (even when it might be a little inconvenient).

Gospel Study Group
