Baby Love!

Today I got to spend the morning visiting with a sorority sister of mine, Jennifer and her precious, sweet Baby R. He is baby boy #3 for their family and I just fell in love with this precious linebacker. All our 4 other boys were at school, but I know they will be looking forward to meeting their buddies' new brother soon! It was so nice to catch up with just her and look at all the cute baby stuff and hold & feed him. Right at the point when I felt like I totally wanted to adopt, he started fussing and he got really heavy in my arms and I was able to hand him right back to his Mama! God must have known! ha ha! 

I saw this quote the other day and I just adore it. I try to live this each & everyday in my own life and I hope I can pass that quality on to my boys, as well! 

Last night, we played a little Math Rummy Hot Wheels style. The boys love this game & honestly beat me everytime we play it! I have to remind myself, being a former middle school language arts teacher, that there are other things to teach besides reading, grammar, spelling, etc. I have been doing science experiments and about as much math as I can handle with the boys, but it just isn't my thing, so luckily, Daddy likes & is good at Math! Whew! 

Jackson has his first loose tooth and several friends told me to take pics of their sweet faces, bc once they start loosing teeth and get their adult teeth in, their baby faces will never look the same. How pitiful is that!? So, here is Colton very up close and personal. I love your little baby teeth, sweetie pie!

Zero the Hero

The twins' class is celebrating 20 days of school with Zero the Hero today! I know this must be J & C's favorite number because it has been turned into a superhero with a costume! ha!

3. The land of the little people!
Our school district started back this week, but since the boys will be at their church preschool one more year (woo hoo!), we don't start back to school until next week. I love how Georgia schools start back early & we get to enjoy Fall, Winter, Spring breaks for traveling! This is my last week of my SAHM world where everyone else will be in school and we will be in the land of just little people where it isn't as crowded, no waits, no big kids, and just lots of Mamas & toddlers/little kiddos! For example, today at the pool, it was bliss! Don't get me wrong, we missed all our buddies who are off to elementary school, but it was great having the pool be not crowded at all, only 5 year olds and under frolicking in the water, playing nicely together, and enjoying the slides & diving boards to themselves! Can't wait for more fun adventures this week-soaking up every.last.minute. of this summer vaca with my sweet boys!

Last summer getaway to Lake Nottely!

It's been an action packed, fun-filled summer full of friends, family & making memories with the ones we love! Here are some pics of our last summer getaway, but looking back, I realized I haven't even blogged since the beginning of the summer....

In a nutshell, some of the highlights were celebrating the twins' 5th Birthday Tae Kwon Do Style, followed by a week of Vacation Bible School at our church, a week with family at Nana & Gramp's beach house at St. George Island, a fabulous NKOTB/Boyz2Men/98Degrees concert with my sorority sisters, hosting a super fun girls night at my house with my preschool mama friends, lots of fun days at Six Flags, White Water, our neighborhood pool, & on the lake with our boat! We went to celebrate July 4th in the mountains of Hiawassee at the Gore Family farm with lots of family, had Gore family to our house for a visit, went on a cruise to Mexico for my cousin's wedding where I was the Matron of Honor, also was a bridesmaid in my sorority sister's wedding, as well! The boys had a week of camp in our neighborhood of tennis, crafts, golf, cooking & swimming & went to their first rodeo with their cousins! They did lots of fishing, too! On the cruise, we went to Cozumel, Mayan Riviera & my first trip to New Orleans with family! Our last getaway of the summer was this past week to Lake Nottely with friends! 

 We had a terrible scare with Colton. He woke up and appeared to be having a seizure and couldn't communicate for 4 hours. We had to rush him in an ambulance and it was horrifying for all of us. We are getting more testing done in the next two weeks to get some more answers. The good news is he snapped out of it after 4 hours and went back to completely being his normal self!

Whew-what a summer it has been! I'm looking forward to one last week of summer fun with my boys before they head to their last year at their preschool that they have attended since they were 6 months old! As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE summer, I also LOVE LOVE LOVE schedule & routine, so I will be happy to welcome the beginning of school and all the new adventures it will bring for me, Brandon, & the boys!

Cousin Love!

About a month ago, me & a bunch of my preschool mama friends did the Dirty Girl Mud Run race at Lake Lanier Islands-love this pic of our group before the race (all cute and clean before we got muddy!) and our shirts we designed for our group-"Cancer, Eat My Dirt"

It rained on and off today, so in between rain storms, I kept the boys happy and busy with Kinetic Sand. They got it from our neighbors for their birthday and it is pretty neat! It is sand that you can mold and shape but it also moves-very fun!

Later, our nephews, Joey & Jesse came over and will be staying with us for a few days. J & C are so excited about this, despite the fact that we just spent a week with them at the beach house-the 4 of them get along so well and remind me more of brothers than cousins! Love watching their bond and friendship continuously growing!

After they had fun on their bikes and trampoline, we settled in for popcorn & movie night. Chipwrecked may not have been the best choice of a movie to watch before we go on a cruise, but I guess it is better than watching the Titanic! Ha!

Gotta rest up for an early workout and a day of fun with 4 boys tomorrow!

End of Season Braves Baseball & Summer Fun!

We ventured back to Ms. Autumn's Swim Lessons-3 days of boot camp for swimming! This year the boys learned to swim the length of the pool & the butterfly stroke!
