PINEWOOD DERBY

I forgot to post about the Pinewood Derby so this posting will be out of order. Last week Weston had his first Pinewood Derby. His car was called "Weston's Wheels" and it was fast!! Gary worked hard with Weston's help of course and the help of our wonderful neighbor Alex Montano. The car came in second (should of been 1st if you ask Gary) so Weston was really excited! Weston has only been in Scouts a couple weeks and is loving it!!

EASTER 2009

Easter is always a fun holiday, especially for the kids!! We had a fun year this year attending three Easter Egg hunts. Friday, we had an Easter Egg hunt with the neighborhood at the park. Saturday, we had a family Easter Egg hunt and lesson at the Willardsons. Then Sunday we had another hunt at Trina's. Between the Easter Bunny and hunts the kids are well stocked up on candy. As Whitney said "this is just like Halloween but alot easier".
Besides the fun things Easter is a time to sit back and reflect on what a blessing it is to have the gospel in our lives and to know the Savior died for us and lives again. The Savior went through so much suffering because of his great love for us. What an awesome blessing to have that knowledge and blessing in our lives!! May we all take advantage of that knowledge and follow his example in our own lives.

Weston turns 8 & is Baptized!!

My Boy turned 8 which just makes me feel old. He chose to get baptized and we couldn't be more proud of him. We love being in Utah surrounded by all our family and feel so blessed by all their support!! We had a fun day with Gary baptizing him and then we all headed to Chuck-A-Rama (since our house is for sale) and had a lunch. It turned out really nice and relaxing for me!!

Palm Springs California

In March we had a family vacation and headed to Palm Springs. We had never been and had a great time. Gary had planned to go the week of one of the largest tennis tournaments. We attended two different days of tennis and were able to see the number one player in the world Nadal and also the number one tennis player in America, Andy Roddick. We also hit Disneyland, and enjoyed the beautiful pool. The weather was in the 90's which was refreshing since Utah had been so cold. My parents and my niece (Tricia's daughter) joined us for the week and we had a blast together!!

Curlers!! What was I thinking?

This is funny!! I have been trying to figure out what to do with my girls hair. I got the idea to try sponge curlers like my Mom did when I was a kid. I didn't realize how tight a curl they would give.

I never got a before picture of Whitney this is just the after and yes that is all her hair. She had a total afro!! Kylie only has a before picture since by morning she had pulled all of hers out.

January Grandparents Day Sledding

I am finally updating my blog on some random things we've done since January. This blog has been severly neglected and this is the only scrapbooking that I seem to do. I am trying to get up to date so I thought I'd write some of the things down and post some pictures.

In January we went sledding in Draper behind the elementary school. There wasn't much snow and the snow that was there was just a sheet of ice. Needless to say the kids still had a blast flying down the hill and tumbing onto the grass at the bottom.

LIFE HAS BEEN BUSY!!

I am a total slacker with my blog lately!! Life has been busy and then there is my camera issue. We have three different cameras now since Christmas. Now I don't know which one I have my pictures on. My new camera I don't want to take the time to figure out how it works (LAZY I Know!!) I will get it together soon I hope!! Yet life might just be getting even crazier!! We just got an offer on our house and if this goes through (KNOCK ON WOOD) we will be moving by the end of March aaahhhh!!! I am so excited and nervous at the same time!! Change is fun but scary. Its hard to leave a neighborhood where you know everyone and you have such cute friends!! This is the longest we have lived anywhere (4 years in May). We have found a house in Highland that we are really excited about. If everything goes as planned we will be moving there!! Bunco girls I am still in the group and you better not forget about me when it comes to lunch dates!! I am still up for that anytime!!
