I got glasses! 8 years ago I had LASIK. It was so wonderful...while it lasted. But while the surgery fixes what is wrong then, it doesn't stop your eyes from changing later on. I finally went to the eye doctor and was surprised the difference it made. And I usually don't mind wearing the glasses.

Morgan started a dance class with her best friend, Bella. They are so cute!

Kayden's Valentine's Day party at preschool. It's a Lutheran church preschool and while they don't teach church doctrine, they still pray and sing a couple songs about God. I love it.

 Tate turned 1!!!

Here's all my kids on their 1st birthday. You can't tell they're related...can you?

Kayden and Morgan were so excited to get Tate presents.

 Oh man. The cake. The pre-smooshed cake. It was a cute little monster cake just sitting on the counter and Kayden just wanted to look at it...then he dropped it. Luckily it was still in its container and it just squished the frosting inside. No harm done. Tate loved it anyway.

 No hesitation here. He couldn't wait to get his hands on that cake!!

 'Wait, where'd my cake go?!'

 'Nevermind, there's some on my hand'

We have discovered this great program at Home Depot. On the 1st Saturday of every month they have a free Kids Workshop where they can go make a craft. It's different every month and the kids have a blast hammering and painting their crafts. January was a birdhouse.

Making homemade pizza with dad. Kayden wrote down the 'recipe' in his notebook and gets it out to instruct us every time we make it. It's pretty right on too.

Kayden turns 5!!! This is our small family party.

 Then he had a big superhero themed friend party. Eight 5 year olds! It was awesome!!

When they arrived they each got to decorate their own cape with their initial.

Then they had to go downstairs where they had to jump through the Rings of Power, leap over tall buildings and walk over the lava pit

Then we played a game where everyone got a balloon and I turned on some music and they had to hit their balloons to keep them in the air. I turned off the music and they all had to catch their balloons. I called out one of their names and they had to pop their balloon. Inside was an activity they all had to do, ex: 'jump on one foot' 'sing happy birthday' 'spin in a circle'. Then we started over. 8 times so each kid could popp their balloon.

Then it was out to the garage to fight the villains. They had to spray them with silly string until their enemy fell.  After this we had a piñata. No pictures of that though.

This was the major Pinterest fail of the day. We strung this tape like a spiderweb with the sticky side out. A lot harder than it sounds. Then you throw tape balls at it and try to get it to stick. It was SOOO hard to get them to stick and when you pulled it off it would just fall apart...like this.  Oh well. They had fun with it anyway.

Present time! I had each kid bring him their present then I got pictures with Kayden with the present and the giver.

Then we had pizza, carrot sticks and strawberries with crystal light.

Kayden had a really fun birthday. It was a lot of work but it seriously couldn't have turned out better. The timing was perfect (2 1/2 hours)  and we had the perfect amount of activities.

This is a random thing Morgan said this month. We were shopping somewhere and I said, "Ok Morgan, follow me." and Morgan said, "No mom! Follow the Prophet!" Then she started singing, "Follow the prophet, follow the prophet, follow the prophet, he knows the wa-ay."
